Thank you for creating the mastery program ! Although i still didn t finish it i m already feeling a huge difference in my skills and my art habits. I m more in love with art than ever before. Art is also a healer , so everyone needs to learn the skills in order to be free to create whatever they want and be confident and motivated about it. Also the way the program is designed is perfect for everyone around the world. So thank you for this great gift❤❤❤

This is the the second video I heard you mention the color "brown" doesn't exist to the artist. I would have to say, I don't agree! As a black artist I use brown in all of my portrait paintings. I find it be the most beautiful colors for painting my own skin tones. I use raw umber, burnt umber, burnt sienna, and at times sepia. Those are all "brown" colors. Some darker or more red than others. I will add certain greens, raw umber, and yellow ochre to bring out the life in the portrait. I think all colors are beautiful and very much needed. Without the "color" brown I wouldn't be a portrait artist.

It seems they apply their own preference from their own experience as a general statement. In another video, there was a suggestion that hyper realistic painting is more negative and therefore less sell-able. Who are they to say that!!! And btw, i agree with you, they may personally do not work as much with brown in their palette, but each artist develop their own palette through years of work. What works for one does not generally work for the rest. Such general statements are actually dangerous for a beginner.

I think that in this case they mean as artists we don't just see the color brown. We can see it as brown with undertones or red or a bit of green, etc. "Brown" is beautiful! And I know that the Milan's use it in their own paintings all the time 😁

@@alphashanahan4323I think sometimes it seems that they don't advise photorealism when it's really them advising to have a unique style that people can recognize you by!

You guys have been such an inspiration for me to get back into art again after years of feeling too beaten down and discouraged by life's ups and downs to create art.
But I truly believe that for those who are creatives, that desire to create is always deep down inside us, even if it may go into hibernation from time to time. So I thank you for being a great source of support and inspiration for the reawakening of the artistic part of my soul.

This is so exciting! This is everything I wanted. I’m 46. I picked up watercolor art at the beginning of the pandemic. And I’ve picked up using pastels for fun. I’m not very good at what I’m doing, but I believe I can be if I had the proper teacher. My dream is to live in Mexico and live my life being paid as an artist/writer. At this stage of my life, I just want to spend my waking hours working on projects I love for people who can appreciate my efforts.

I am soooooo glad I found this video. I am in the beginning month of your Mastery Program and was definitely going through all the feelings you talk about. "I am an acrylic painter, I already know this, that, and the other thing!" I almost felt like this program isn't for me but now I know the universe works. I need this program. I will not get to the level I know I can get to without understanding the basics and going from there. I am super excited to get through this and see where it takes me. I am feeling grateful and don't mean to gush, but I did want to share.

I wish I had found y’all before I signed up for another online painting course. 😢
Only because I relate to y’all’s style more. I’ve only finished block one out of 4 in my current program in 2 years.
Some of that is life getting in the way but the other is probably always painting with the gray scale 🥹. So depressing.
Anyway, I’m praying for the Lord to provide the provision to switch to your program.
Oh and Elli talked about paint boogers in one of her videos and I just about died!! I have a painting I have been working on for 3 years and yes, it has boogers and brush hairs. I like them though. So I was super bummed.
I figure the Lord gave me the vision and maybe it’ll be my Mona Lisa 😊

Two paintings a week. Even though if i didn´t have to work, i could never make just one painting a week. I paint in oils and paint realism. It take me atleast 2-3 weeks to make one painting. But rather that then to make a lot a crap paintings. Not saying this artist do that, but i would, if i had to rush all the time. Though it would be great to get up every day and just paint for ours and ours and not have to work. Painting for me will never be considered work, even if i lived from it.

I am floored. I cannot believe you said you can't be successful as an artist without learning how to draw. For that matter, you feel that abstract painting is just throwing paint on a canvas? Let alone that the bar is st low for pour painting artists? Holy hell. Knowing how to obtain depth of color in a painting, creating a veil over someone's face, painting velvet, I can do all these quite well and i cant draw to save my life.. I can know perspective, the mechanics of proportions, color theory, how to use various mediums, and yes, I have sold MANY paintings in many venues. I think you just lost a lot of followers with your opinions.

How do you launch art when living on a shoestring budget? NO money even for a Real healthy TINY TINY meal a day. Skipping some days out of the week. DO NOT SMOKE, Drink, walk to work, Basic expense goes to rent , thought of going homeless. but where to store items without being stolen.? Guilds there are Due. Enter a Show MONEY . postage, insurance. Do not money for a movie. to buy a gift. USE to give an art piece as gift, but that ended up more than if I bought a gift on my budget. Stuck with Walmart prices for art supplies, and their prices have gone up. Heat in winter is 50* water heater on vacation. Year after year constant trying, and can not make a dent.

I am a fan of these artists, in general. If I had not gone blind in one eye with macular degeneration and was not also disabled physically and syffering from debilitating pain and unable to work outside the home, I would DEFINITELY give this class a "go," including the mentorship. Will definitely recommend to others. PS. The sales rap of the young man toward the end felt high pressure and REALLY annoying. The product sells itself. Just tell people how to get it, otherwise this video feels like a giant commercial. Ugh.

WOULD LOVE To make PRINTS to sell that way. Selling in todays time for 10-15 dollars just to have change for laundry machine, Heat and water heater is switched off, no use of stove refrig. too costly to use. Jugs set in sun can heat up, or a microwave. I see upside down SHAPE not objects. I can't afford a phone so I am borrowing some ones internet while pet sitting. I DO NOT SMOKE, been years since I paid for FAST FOOD, years since I stepped into a REAL CLOTHING STORE.
