@9:04 When he said for Gen Z in particular (and really all of us), that the line between reality and fake is blurring, this is so true. Look at how people put their celeb idols on pedestals. It's almost scary.
I believe in this case it isn't as much the fictionalization of real people but the humanization of fictional characters. "Regular" celebrities have always been put on pedestal by fans, that's not necessarily a new thing (though nowadays probably more partly because there are new ways of communicating on a closer level).
Interesting commentary from the former sports agent. Surpassing the human body with data is the first step. At what point will we shed our bodies entirely? Echoes of Ghost in the Shell and other 'future' anime I used to watch as a kid with 'impossible' technology or social issues that we talk about today. Can AI have rights, will it become sentient enough to vote, will they outnumber traditional carbon humans.
All these virtual influencers could just worsen the spread of unrealistic beauty standards. Specially considering how easily they can and could reach younger audiences. Seems like a step backwards rather than fowards as a conscious society to me
Exactly. Their worth is in popularity. A decade ago people were mad about World of Warcraft and Second Life and users would spend real money on fictional, 3D objects but they would do that as long as the platform was popular. Once new games were developed they replaced those virtual worlds and that's the issue with metaverse - it's not happening in one, single platform like the internet that we all use where you and me can both watch this video on opposite sides of the world or buy the same products on Amazon. I can already see the downfall of people spending fortune on fashion for their virtual metaverse avatar and even "property" only to hit rock bottom once their platforms lose popularity. They'll end up with a textured 3D mesh object that no one wants to buy or interact with... Essentially all those megabytes of data in the metaverse will become useless.
Hearing about stuff like this, only makes me want to become a luddite. We all better give up technology and return to the primitive way of life. Because man is supposed to live like that.
idk but i think if we know who is behind the virtual idol, it automatically wont be risk free from scandal anymore. i mean if one day that former idol got scandal, will her virtual persona wont get any effect by that? i really dont think so.
I think that this technology is going to hurt humanity. Because in VR, people will be perfect, or intentionally made imperfect, but with some catchy features. Those that will use this technology, will start disliking reality, real life, and real people. VR will make reality look boring, un-enthusiastic and un-interesting. VR has the potential to create a weird society.
Who knows, we never doubt it, but we might already be living in the Metaverse. Like, more and more algorithm-like features of our DNAs are found. This isn't any conspiracy theory, but just my fun thought experiment (:
It's good but not excellent. Compared to other ai influencers. There face is pretty but it's fells like we r seeing a game characters. And walking not feels so right after seeing seung and sejin Korean AI idols. But we should appreciate there hard work .
"Ready Playet One" vibes.

After seeing the interview with the founder of StarHeir(7:17), I realize that it is the game of capital to reduce the risks of real influencers.

Gotta admit this does look like those virtual kpop idols, were gonna be seeing more of this in the future
Lol People forget that the metaverse isn't real!! lol You can't eat it, breath it or drink it then it is worthless.

According to you kids you'd like a future ruled by puppets bowing to hierarchs. Mephistopheles where's my rocket, we're leaving.

Soon to come, find some other 3rd world country to live in while freedom lasts.
I'm your fan
Without being rude, I really struggled to understand Rachel’s accent.
