I think these brains do not consider the casual or moderate gamer. Hardcore gamers have no problem paying for a new console every year or so and the high cable costs. Remember the Red Ring of Death of the Xbox 360? The casual and moderate gamers may not tolerate the waste of having to junk a console. Virtually no resale value because who wants to buy a dying console and the frequent disposal impact to the environment. Gaming has always been hardest on hardware because of the heat generated destroying electronics whether it be a PC, console or phone. Perhaps in time reliability will improve but I doubt it any time soon. The makers keep pushing the processing speed envelope to sell ever more product yet not enough to cause a class action suit because of device failures. A delicate balance.

Tons of people are going to become multi-millionaires from this using their imaginations to create value that tons of people will buy into. Those who hate this can keep their day jobs and continue to whine.

fashion being the primary conduit through which an identity can be “constructed” and “expressed” is precisely the heart of the problem .. an identity shouldn’t be merely an accumulation of assets and elements in a unique permutation - it should require correlation, reciprocity with one’s self and the others’, it should require an active life lived in search of a subjective construction of meaning in peaceful friction within a constellation of others. fast forward 100 years and permafrost gone, all will be immaterial - is that the immateriality we want? Nothing about this is optimistic or encouraging.
This is one of the next big things, if not THE next big thing. Many think of in-game items but there’s a bigger potential: Apple is getting in the crypto bandwagon. While wearing a digital dress would add something new to the visual sense, it would lack some of the functionality AND deplete the experience of 1 sense, in this case the touch. The touch of silk, wool etc. I am not against all novelties, but wonder why someone would need to experience the world through only visual sense now. Same goes when you compare an actual smell of a certain flower and it's synthetic copy. It's just not the same. I use messenger and phones but only for their functionality. I hate chats via some kind of zooms, talk on facebook 4 hours, it means nothing genuine to me. I prefer sitting down and talking with a person live. A mettaverse could surely bring some interesting novelties, but to what degree would these dehumanize us further, I do wonder deeply and with concern. I welcome all kinds of art and those dresses look cool. I can also understand why wearing a digital dress would be cool, but would like to keep it only as a part of the actual life, not taking over it completely. I don't wanna see a world where we don't look at eachothers eyes anymore because everyone needs to wear VR glasses and where our skin is not skin anymore but a digital coverup. With the internet coming up and thus online games for instance ranking lists became a measurement of success and also subscriptions and likes and so on followed soon.
@@worldcitizeng6507 I agree..but they are really creating this world for the younger generation that have already been programmed to think it's cool and fun through Roblox and Fortnite. They are re-socially engineering them thru masking in school to prepare them for meta verse.
When imagination become reality and reality become virtual. It's natural to be happy in virtual or real world when your brain believe in image or what you see that looks real but not real or deepfake. It's like training the mind to believe in fake or virtual world..
Building ourselves into the Matrix slowly. Grateful growing up with the forest as my playground.
I'm not about to be broke in the real world and metaverse, ill pass. lol
This is the best explanation of the metaverse and nfts so far!
Remember the virtual fashion show done by a south African woman? Some of that is in this video.
My daughter spends her life in metaverse. Nice dad.
you shouldn't blame yourself for that. that's how life works - children make parents irrevelant and spit on their graves
@@dmitrypoliansky2251 I don't have a daughter yet, spoke from "dude in video" perspective.
What are the people gonna do, clothing factories, cotton farmers, I mean people will rot in shorts and tees in house while wearing digital clothes on insta FB fortnite.. I am an IT guys and a stock trader. It's one big speculation we all should do but cash out right on time
Total mortgage applications decreased 6.3% from one week earlier, according to the MBA and it will only go lower considering the interest rates hikes. As much as the recession seems imminent, keep your heads up. Having monitored my portfolio performance currently up 15% from Q1, I've learned why only a few make enormous returns from this seemingly unknown market. Get your money working.

First understanding the financial market and how it works then you need to know how to study the market charts. That's all you stand to get when you start trading with mergetrade. he's highly recommendable. And his signals works.
Came across this in Feb 2023, just amused by how blindly consumers came be when it's comes to burning thier money 💰
I thought it was parts of the fashion industry flushing money. The reason it failed because you can't show it off in real life the same way you could with real clothing.
I like how they didn't interview people who made mods for decades or sims modders they found other yuppies.
Society going down the drain
Oh buddy, we already been way pass that! Lol
Nobody is going to talk about the GTA Among Us mod at 3:50? I cannot believe it managed to get in there and remain as an attempt at a professional conversation
Illusion upon illusions as mankind delves into deep and deeper stupur: Comatose.
We are headed towards a dangerous path.

Yes. Yes I will.
Can't wait for what torrenting offers in the metaverse.
You wouldn’t steal a car

I don't really understand how come all this streaming services still exist together with TPB. planet of apes.
So we'll actually "own nothing" (in the true physical sense) and "be happy"
like any new technology, First Scepticism & Fear, then early adopters, mass appeal, and then the people without the technology look like outsiders. This happened with Internet ("nerds"), Cell Phones, etc
Yes. Clubhouse. First: disgusting and ridiculous. Second: all these early adopters are stupidest people with FoMo syndrome. And then all the people which didn't believe in that artificial hype didn't miss anything
Exactly. Just look at these comments. Most pushing back against it and/or not understanding the tech. This is coming whether they see the value in it or not.
We will look EVERYwhere else for satisfaction except within ones self.
I don’t know y’all, I really loved IMVU & the Sims as a kid.
I literally found IMVU because I was looking to play a dress up game. 2nd Life was a HUGE game at the time, but it more for adults....
This is definitely going to take off. The real question is how will be balance our “real” reality?
Talk that talk sis. I loved that ho I used to go throw parties and pErfom cheif keef 😭
Doubt.. but add an extra layer on psychological discussions ... As to being robbed or groped in the meta verse
loved second life
the Trump presidency felt like a revolt of the common people though
the sentiment like it existed in the early 2010's can not be replicated in my opinion
You will own nothing and you will be happy. Virtually happy.
EXACTLY!!
This Metaverse Fashion film explains a lot - WELL DONE !!!!
did anyone else feel everyone in this video was on psych meds?
Our Metaverse is built now. It takes this to the next level a metaverse for entrepreneurs.
This is interesting and all... but when will we ever properly get taught how to sew?
do people really not know how to use photoshop
you will own nothing and be happy
@Hammer Head look up “you’ll own nothing and be happy” a billionaire saying it but he won’t own nothing and be happy it’s meant for the masses to accept. That’s the point of the meta verse people can’t afford it in real life so they can afford it in virtual reality while being gagged with ads making the rich richer.
If this is the future, then the future sucks
When I need non professional surface overview of something I always use big medias like this. Even teenage bloggers have already recorded much detailed video from inside the situation. Now it is time for Bloomberg!
And NEO thought that the machines were somehow forcing people to stay "hooked up"
THIS IS GOING TO INCREASE MENTAL DISEASE
This freaks me out and we know Zuckerberg nor Gates will allow their kids to use this.
a sus hijos no pero al resto de la humanidad si
I'm so surprised to see platforms like imvu and animal crossing but not second life where people have been successfully doing this since before 2006 there.
I’ll pass on metaverse thank you
I learned that this will be pushed on the public eventually and we will have to . Just look at most stores . There aren’t many employees there and there are more self check out lanes . More people will be doing things online in the Metaverse. It’s scary trust me I understand . Humans are never satisfied and we become our own down fall.
This will make more sense when Augmented Reality Glasses and eye contacts arrive. Then, everyone doubting will eat their words.
No they wont. Because nothing beats a real surf board with real water. You're talking about everyone looking forward to a dystopian matrix.
@@shawn8847 I was talking about Digital Fashion. I surf myself and you are 100% right about that.
@Shawn Sadly surfing isn’t easier than being online. People largely will do what’s easy.
Like things were said about the usefulness and long term value of the internet for the public. Everyone hating on this has at least two social media accounts. None so blind as those who refuse to see. New and expansive ideas are "always" met with resistance from group mind. Years later when they see they are missing the train, most hop aboard. Tons of people are going to become multi-millionaires from this using their imaginations to create value that tons of people will buy into. Those who hate this can keep their day jobs and continue to whine.
Playstation Home was so ahead of its Time! Too bad they didn't know what they had!
F the metavers word! Made popular by zucc with everyone talking about it, noone really knowing what it means.
Fortnite and GTA are games. Owned by a single entity, profited by a single company. No marketplace, no collective ownership. Just games. Zoom doesnt count as metavers.
Do your research @bloomberg !
So true
How is this going forward.. you want to live in a computer and call it a leap forward.. mind blown
COVID19 and lock down has brought awareness to the world we don't need fashion we only need comfortable clothes.
I used to think what makes an expensive garment is production techniques and materials used.
No its not, some luxury item overpriced their item for its value the brand hold, other than that it is from the manufacture and material cost
Not really
you purchase a digital bread and you are not hungry anymore lol
The metaverse reminds me of "The Game" from "Star Trek: Next Generation"
Black mirror isn't suppised to be a documentary
fashion being the primary conduit through which an identity can be “constructed” and “expressed” is precisely the heart of the problem .. an identity shouldn’t be merely an accumulation of assets and elements in a unique permutation - it should require correlation, reciprocity with one’s self and the others’, it should require an active life lived in search of a subjective construction of meaning in peaceful friction within a constellation of others. fast forward 100 years and permafrost gone, all will be immaterial - is that the immateriality we want? Nothing about this is optimistic or encouraging.
This is one of the next big things, if not THE next big thing. Many think of in-game items but there’s a bigger potential: Apple is getting in the crypto bandwagon. If you cross that info with its upcoming AR glasses then you get NFT AR clothes. No need for a third party like a video game with its lore that may not suit one’s brand identity. It’s legacy fashion experience augmented with limitless room for creativity that was once only possible in virtual worlds. Mark my words.
I see you have no clue how NFTs work
@@theWebmasterify Ok, so tell me why a non-fungible skin in Star Atlas or non-fungible item in Decentraland is different to a non-fungible shirt colour or neckless in augmented reality?
@@theWebmasterify Yo. He's still awaiting your response.
What’s virtual fir the Mets verse and real it in a resl word❗️㊙️
@@theWebmasterify still waiting... c'mon, dont be shy
It does sound ridiculous, but it is already happening! You see games like Fortnite, Pokemon unite, Overwatch make a bulk of their money from selling digital skins. The skins have no effect on game play.. but people just to dress up their characters/flex to other people that they have the newest stuff!
The biggest NFT marketplace is Opensea. If you go browse their top collections, most of them are selling for astronomical prices - above 2k. NFTs = status symbol
This is why RUclips disabled the dislike button, businesses couldn't pedal this sham if moderation of comments had limits
It looks like an art itself, interesting as a project, BUT I would NEVER want to see this take over the world, as this would mean we'd need to wear some kind of VR glasses or eyes or transhumanize somehow...
So I’m going to assume that you buy CD’s and mixtapes to listen to music still, than? And you also buy all your movies, video game consoles and discs and etc etc physically and don’t download them?
@@obsessedcore4519 hey, I get your point 😉 but CDs and all that U mention are just different and faster media to the same thing - music. I may still hear the music with the same senses. Even if it's electronic music, which I like btw, it's still remaning to be experienced by the same sense, ears. I rather stay organic ;) Try to feel this answer as I feel it and you'll know what I am talking about. Otherwise this could be a great art tool for art itself, for performances, concerts etc. etc.
@@obsessedcore4519 and btw I still burn my CDs cuz my car radio runs only those, in fact it runs only audio haha. I don't play games, I rather read a classic book.

Changing our definition of what is real!
Yeahhh nope. This is just plugged by people who want to or already do make money from it.
NIGHTMARE being FORCED on humanity to destroy it.
Sure…let me waste my hard earned money to purchase “the emperor’s new clothes”. Sheep wake up!!!
It's already happening in the gaming world, ask any parent how much they've spent on fortnite, roblox, animal crossing, minecraft, apex skins and weapons.
Clothing department stores will pair up with metaverse companies such as Meta (you can apply this with other entities) and create a system where you buy the actual physical product in real life and you would then pay an additonal "x" or if not the same ammount for the same product to be able to have the avatar version of it .
I really think in 5 years people will be embarrassed they hyped it. Just because there are money in it now.
This is straight up dystopian.
