Girl : Why Should I give my number ( Yes correct.. Nothing wrong what she asked)
Hero : I am leaving town today.. We should be in touch right?
Girl : Why should we be in touch ( again nothing wrong in what she asked )
Hero's face changes into a sorrow mood.. excellent addictive melodramatic high quality bgm is played.. For a while till the bgm is running our mind feels for the hero and him being rejected.. Hero's child hood friend who is watching everything comes and consoles hero.. Again melodramatic music elevates hero's emotion to a different level and for few secons mind unknowingly thinks bad about the girl and feels the girl who rejected him is arrogant..
Wait.. now the rational think comes into mind...Imagine the scene without bgm and remove the prenotions of the actor's halow and his performance.. Whatever the Girl said is correct and it is her choice..She has all the right to decide whom should she live with... What is wrong in that...? But why our minds were suddenly captivated by this melodrama.. Thats the trick cinema plays.. By projecting a certain thing in a certain way, it can change our perception and mould our ideas in the way they want...Thanks for boldly pointing out these non-sense which movies project..

There is nothing wrong for me there brother. Scene clearly portrait that girl not interested to that guy and saying the things and gets away.
That scene does not portrait that girl attitude is wrong.
Sad music is required as the movie tells the story from the guy point of view. So, it's movie role that whatever the guy feels should be transferred into Audiences.
Lets take real time, You like a girl, you wish her to be with you. One day, you go and tell her that you like her and want to take this relationship next level.
So,it's normal right, you like her and express your wish in good way. If she rejects that proposal, won't you be sad. I understand your mind says this is also expected and let's move on.
But, atleast for 2 days, you will sad, right? That's normal and human feeling.
Once again watch the movie, that scene does not portrait that girl should not say No to boys and give the number if he asks.

Hats off....many don't understand that Hinduism has 2 major divisions the Astikas (who agree vedas) and Nastikas (who disagree veda).. This book was written by Vatsyayana belonging to the Indian materialists called charvakas under the Nastika section.. Many adultrations and manipulations have always been there in all vedas, scriptures and practices.. We need to be very careful and selective in adopting these things to the modern world always with a pinch of salt.. I really do appreciate your research and your longing to guide the future generations. Keep doing more of such videos
Totally agree with your thoughts , I never thought of reading this book because I assumed it to be a guide for marital life but your review is an eye opening and reassuring that we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. This book review made to so disgusted with the kind of thoughts the author and his society had. Every thing that you mentioned is horrendous to even think of. It so heart breaking to think of women in this kind of world. There is nothing humane in this book glad I never read this and if I ever get a chance to ban a book this will be one of it . I really appreciate your patience to have read this book. It was so difficult to even hear the review. And a special thanks to the book show team to have a book like this selected , it's an eye opening to the struggle the women must have faced.

I recently attended "Thandhreeka thambadhiyam ragasiyam" class from healer baskar. He too said that the Kamasutra was one sided only and is not at all recommended. But books like "Thandreeka thambathiyam ragasiyam" book written by Bodhi pravesh. And "Rathi ragasiyam" was discussed over there. Especially on how to put heart and soul to attain a perfect sexual life was discussed and taught over there based on these 2 books.

These women were courageous and ahead of their time in speaking out against the male-dominated culture. Some of the female characters in the Mahabharata are forthright and brave in their demand for sexual bliss, which has historically been frowned upon in Indian culture. The most important life lessons we can learn from these people include how to be outspoken, brave, loyal, and devoted.
Please specify which dharma you consider to be manipulative in Mahabharata.

Excellent Anandhi... I'm a book lover... I come to know the hardest version of savanism from this book... I need to tell one thing, everybody celebrated the ponniyin selvan. But it is a another version of male savanism... All womens are just an object like they are need to use elevated the chozhas... There is no regret in many scenes for the men's insulting to the women. Pls break the truth of it... Note: I have read the all 5 versions again and again 3 times. And my thought about this growing more strong... Love you and your platform❤️

Hi, good one first time I listened to this review of the book. I loved each and every point you made which many really don’t get especially Sivakarthikeyan like people who has a family and daughter did all moves the same bullying women.
