    Trinitarian Bible Society is awesome! They are a blessed organization. I am a member of the society, and they are well worth supporting, they are amazing translators. Praise God for His hand of providence in sustaining this organization. Great review, I am certainly going to purchase a fee of these for safe keeping. Great review btw.

    the BEST REVIEW POINT I HAVE HEARD SO FAR IN COMPARING KJV REFERENCE BIBLES IS IN THIS REVIEW...THANK YOU! You pointed out the differences in the THOMPSON CHAIN AND WESTMINSTER REFERENCES... this was what helped me most in deciding WHICH TO PURCHASE. THE point being one stays within a doctrinal point and the other takes you everywhere and anywhere the "word" is used makes a HUGE difference for me...THANK YOU FOR THAT! i WATCHED many other reviews and you are the only one that MADE THIS POINT... and it's VERY IMPORTANT. if I haven't mentioned it already...THANK YOU! LOL

    I bought this bible in a hard copy. I prefer hardcopy because I never have problem with pages coming out. The publisher keeps the price affordable. Plus you can download a version. I love all the references. I hope they some day add a good concordance to this large print version.

    I have this Bible and it is a nice bible, no red lettering that distracts. References are straight across. Large bible is great for laying in bed reading. That bible is very inexpensive compared to other Westminster printers. I bought their smaller version that has a concordance, very nice. These are my second favorite. My favorite is Kjv new strong’s reference bible with Concise 749 page concordance.

    I love this Bible. Having over 200,000 cross references is a major plus for me, as it gets you digging into parallel passages or similar texts and further realising just how the Bible all correlates together. If the large print had the translators to the readers and the concordance like the regular size does, it would have been the perfect KJV cross-referencing Bible, but it's not a huge loss by any means.

    Thank you for comparing all those Bibles with the Westminster Reference Bible. I'm planning to buy myself another Bible for Christmas. The Westminster Reference Bible looks like it would be great for study. I would use it along with my KJV Thompson-Chain Reference Bible, so I would not need the concordance. But, there as so many good Bibles to choose from, and I will only get one good one. So, I'll just keep watching your videos and pray until I make up my mind.

    The conversions at 12:02 are a bit off when converting from Imperial to metric. The ones I checked on the left side of the screen seem correct, but the ones on the right are not. I would still buy one, but I'm not sure if the Imperial or Metric amounts are the correct ones. They don't agree with each other when converted from liters to pints or pints to liters.

    The only thing I have found which larger and heavier, among normal large prints (not "pulpit bibles" or the like) is "The Enlarged Type Edition" of "The Companion Bible" ( edited by E.W.Bullinger ) published by Kregel of Grand Rapids. Size of about 11.25" x 8.5" x 1.75". Not having a scale, I would guess the weight at 5 pounds or better.

    Definitely a great Bible from TBS, although I really wish they had included a concordance in that Bible. Concordances are great to have in a Bible, because sometimes you know what a verse says, but you just can't remember exactly where it's at.

      @@RoastBeefSandwich That may be true seeing that TBS(Trinitarian Bible Society) has to compete with LCBP(Local Church Bible Publishers) and CBP(Church Bible Publishers). Both CBP and LCBP make super-high quality Bibles at reasonable prices which are hard to beat.

    • @RoastBeefSandwich
      @RoastBeefSandwich 5 лет назад

      @@TheDustin49 Those sell their Bibles at the cost of manufacture. TBS presumably has some margin in the price to fund their mission work of translating the Bible in languages without a Bible. I think TBS on the whole has better quality Bibles than them, though not necessarily better covers. The CBP and LCBP Bibles I've seen the printing looks like it was done by a Xerox, okay maybe better than a Xerox but not as good as TBS's or other publisher's printings.

    • @BibleBuyingGuide
      @BibleBuyingGuide  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Kayla. If you're considering the Schuyler version of the Westminster, it will last the longest because of the goatskin cover with edge-lined liner. The text-block is the same as the regular Westminster from TBS, so it has the concordance.
      You can also get the Schuyler Canterbury in goatskin. It has a large font (about the same as the LP Westminster), but it doesn't have the translator's footnotes and has 55,000 cross-references.
      If more references and footnotes are your goal, then I'd recommend the Schuyler Westminster.
      If a larger print is your goal, then I'd recommend the Canterbury in goatskin.

      I like both. It depends on what I'm doing with it. If the red isn't dark and consistent, then I'd rather not have it. If I'm highlighting, then black-letter is easier because my colors don't' have to work with two different colors of text. Red can be harder on the eyes for long periods of reading. Dark red looks great and I can read it for long reading sessions. It also helps in finding the text quickly when preaching.
