    As a retired biochemist (84), I have been taking the vitamin group for 20 yrs. Just did a IQ test, mathematical and Pattern recognition, and scored 119. I'm still trading stocks and shares and creating Excel spreadsheets.

      If you are trading stocks and shares you must have something wrong with your brain. Buy the index with a low cost ETF and forget about trading.

      There is no fun in index trading, boring too. I like charts, trends, momentum etc. Picking an index is when you go into an old people’s home.

    What about Omega-3 Fatty Acids, EPA, DHA???
    Other studies seem to indicate you need the Omega-3's in addition to B-Vitamins?

      Omega 3s increase your chance of developing Atrial Fibrillation. Very dangerous.

    The heck with anyone who is not smart or interested enough to actually look at the graphic data and interpretation ... because, really, what else is there. What I am really sick and tired of is the stereotypical kindly doctors making videos about this subject and then finding out they are selling supplements in the end. Professor David Scott made a video about this talking about how B Vitamins alone are insufficient to get a stopping or reversing cognitive decline effect - without Omega-3's, EPA/DHA. I think the dosage was 250mg of each. Any comment on the data for that? He is on a video by "The Heights" who are selling a package every month for $40 ... almost $500 a year. Using vegan sources of Omega-3s, but no proof or data - OR GRAPHS - about toxicity of any kind in either fish oil or vegan algae sources of Omega-3.

      I just watched his presentation and it did not include a sales pitch. He gave for free the information of what you need so that you are free to pursue your own source.

      @grainiac The length of the other commenter's whining pretty much points to it's a TROLL that's whining

      A real troll goes around reading year old posts and misinterpreting them and calling people names.
      Asking people to read the charts and graphs is hardly whining.
      Asking what is the dosage of Omega-3's is not whining.
      Asking about the corruption of research by commercialization is not whining.
      IN FACT, there is not whining at all in my short one paragraph comment.

    I take vitamins, but am not sure which ones l really need, and my doctors in the past, and present doctor( who l love) don't advise me on this subject, unfortunately, so l have to guess about which ones to take and the proper time to take them.

    A lot of research money is appropriated and then the medical establishment decides how to prioritize it. Not saying a representative or senator can’t put some pressure on but it’s pretty rare in this anti-pork era for them to specifically appropriate. In Alzeheimer’s the establishment wants a miracle pill to reverse the disease. So far, mostly a waste. Very little work been funded 20, 30, or even 10 years before symptoms.

    Can we not answer this question targeted at Vitamins about Prevent Age-Related Cognitive Decline everything from diet, exercise, meditation etc. And mostly the answer would be in the negative. Preventing cognitive decline is nearly impossible with a narrow scope or room to exceptions. Even the question that public would wish to know is would Supplemental vitamins Prevent Age-Related Cognitive Decline which must be answer firmly in the negative. Then we need to specify what age the vitamins were being used at because ante natal usage is a special case.

      Good points ... YT videos can alert your to possible information, but for the most part all these great authorities are all trying to sell something, usually by falsely claiming that only their product will work ... which happens to cost 10 times as much as supermarket brand products? So sick of the charlatans and cheats. Not saying this video is because because I just started it.

    Would nutritive yeast use take care of this. B12 and homosistine tests?

    • @ellanola6284
      @ellanola6284 3 года назад

      Non fortified nutritional yeast is good for most of B vitamins but pasture grown ox or lamb kidneys are even better. Liver is fantastic for B12. Organic beetroot is great for folate & it's leaves are good source of potassium.

    Even better with water, the most under-appreciated medical adjuvant known to science.

    I am writing this late in 2021. This a very good lecture but the recommendation not to take more than 4000iu of D3 a day is out of date and way, way too low.

    • @justgivemethetruth
      @justgivemethetruth 3 года назад +2

      And you are posing as an authority? Or just giving us the recommendation from some other website you like or represent? I don't take any Vitamin D and I just had my blood test and I am high on Vitamin D. 2000 IU or 50mcg is 5 times the RDA for vitamin D, not to mention if you get any sun at all in moderate latitudes? 4000 IU would be 10 times the RDA. Really now.
