Do not buy this. I had a 2021 G80 bought used with 4k miles and sold it after 1 year since it was so bad. 1) Front Headliner was not secured to the roof. I could see the plastic clips if i pulled it down slightly. How did this get past quality control wtf? 2) Panoramic roof would flex and crack if i go over uneven surfaces, which never happened with any cars I've owned. Dealerships had 4 tries to fix but could not fix 3) Weak AC that is terribly inadequate for Texas weather. 4) Rides rough and not very comfortable even with non-run flats. Granted I had the 20 inch wheels but still. 5) Poor NVH in general even with acoustic laminated glass compared to other luxury cars I've owned. 6) Gas mileage for the V6 sits around 19 mph 60/40 highway city driving which is pretty mediocre. 7) Just does not drive as well overall as the Germans or Japanese. You can tell the Koreans brands just arent quite up to snuff when it comes to driving dynamics.

I had the older version of that Equus it was an incredible machine. I spent hundreds of hours researching what to get and when it came down to quality and not ego driven into a brand the Equus was the underrated winner.

Last year, Genesis sold a whopping 1,172 G90 and this year, they had sold 811 G90 so far. In comparison, last year, Mercedes Benz only sold a paltry 15,056 S-class and this year, just a measly 6,231 S-class. The Genesis really did take down the mighty S-class from its pedestal.
Nothing against Hyundai but when I have the money I'm still going S-Class, its more premium, more refined and if you want a good/fully loaded Mercedes for 100k the S580 is not the one to get.
A used one would be the one to get - you'd have no choice because a base S class comes with almost nothing and loaded its tens of thousands of dollars more expensive, not to mention the Maybach

This car does not look like a Bentley Mulsanne in the least. The price is less because you're getting less. The S-Class has all the same rear seat features. Door shutting doesn't make it better overall car and the interior on the G90 tries to hard with a truly ugly steering wheel. This car and it's terrible dealer setup will never "take down" the S-Class.
The S Class has the same rear seat features - if you pay extra for them. In Canada the S class came out to 50k-70k more for the same features and similar materials, minus the crushed carbon and things they don't have in common. A base S class costs as much or more but comes with almost none of these features. Even things like adaptive cruise control, leather surfaces, heated steering wheel and ventilated seats are all extra.

It's not even about the features tbh. The S-class is just more premium. It just feels more magnificent and the drivetrain is not comparable. After a certain point a bargain proposition at 100k is kind of silly TBH. I mid-tier S-class is 130K which after 90k you've got to have a significant income to afford these cars, you've got to be some strange buyer who has this kind of cash but is focused on things that don't matter, in the end just pay for the superior product in this segment instead of "budgeting" down to 100k.
