Couple questions. 1) How did you affix that sponge to the pole ? Reason i ask is my home has soot lines on the roof rafters that I need to clean and I'd like to use a pole on the high ceilings vs climbing a ladder. 2) Do you recommend a specific type of product to clean these soot lines?

How do I get rid of the black on the wall after burn before I paint?

You will need to use Degrease All and then seal with a white pigmented shellac and then paint.
