McLovin here. Even with the log flume closed, it was still a better Nick Universe than American Dream *cough* *cough* $75 *cough* *cough*
Mclovin lets go to great america
McLovin', when did you enter the vlog?
I was like “when the hell did McLovin get to Valley Fair, Isn’t he at Mall of America heartbroken?
Got to VF around mid-day. Thankfully it doesn't take that long to get the MoA creds and bounce.
@@b.o.b3461 six flags great america or california's great america?
Can confirm. I met nate once and he mentioned renegade 12 times.
That parkour kid sprinting thru that rope drop clip is legendary man🤣
Almost 4 years later and it's still GOAT
Excalibur was once vicious. Walking away from that ride with bruises on the legs or whiplash was normal. I am happy they made changes over the years, now I can marathon Excalibur with out being beat up.
I’ve been through the pain as well valley fair was only like 45 min away from my house. Steel venom tho is another bruiser when u reach the top and it stops u and jerks ur nuts off lol.
I rode Excalibur the first year it opened. I thought it was smooth at the time, but my other reference points were High Roller, Cork Screw, and Wild Rails (which I loved and miss, and just learned survives to this day as Wild Cat at Jolly Roger!). I was a kid then. Now that I know better, I don’t care if it rides a little rough these days. Excalibur will always hold a place in my heart.
Am I the only one who noticed the trim break SFX isn’t the same as it always was?
He used the actual sound instead of the stock Mean Streak one he usually plops in. Kinda takes away from the effect somehow haha
Nope
Bruh it's fucking with my head
I think he used the Wild Thing trim brakes sounds instead
The mean streak of memeing Mean Streak has been broken
Anyone: "Hey Ryan, how did you enjoy that rolle----"
Ryan: **TRIM BRAKE NOISE INTENSIFIES**
@eltororyan: Last week on National Roller Coaster Day, Coaster Studios did a livestream and one person suggested Coaster Studios and the Coaster Idiots go onto the Family Feud TV game show and battle it out to see who'll win. Are you up for that?
Haha that sounds fun
Or Taylor and Ryan box on ppv. Id pay $200 to watch that
@@ElToroRyan oh it’s onnnn
Hey Ryan! Not related to Valleyfair (but I want to go), but I just wanted to say this channel helped me overcome my fear of being stuck upside down and I rode my first coaster with inversions earlier this month! I was screaming for my life the whole time and got sick after but I'm definitely planning on doing it again next time I go to a park!
Oh! Congrats! I know the feeling, I still freak out in every corkscrew :(
But it definitely gets better each time 🙃
never thought I'd be scared of being stuck upside down, but recently I went to La Ronde to try my first roller coasters in 12 years and... yeah turns out I'm still very much scared of heights and I'm also scared of going upside down (that being said roller coasters are still epic... it's just that maaaaybe starting with a Batman Clone might not have been the best of ideas)
but yeah from one frightened person to another, it's awesome you could conquer your fear!
Yo that’s awesome! I’m so happy we could help !
I'm not afraid of being stuck. Hangtime just seems scary. 😅 I want my first inverting coaster to be a B&M invert (if not something like Sooper Dooper Looper at Hershey Park). Those whips look like a lot of fun.
@@samuelitooooo they're terrifying, but fun. Personally I remember loving the first zero-G roll on Vampire, that was epic
Went to Valleyfair for the last 5 years and got Panda Express every year! Incredible value at that park!
Valleyfair!!! Can’t believe you guys trekked to good ol’ MN. grew up on valleyfair
me too!!
Same!!
So happy to see the Coaster Idiots out in the wild again!
Started on this channel for the Problematic Coasters vids, but after watching the whole channel, I live for the Coaster Idiot adventures!
Finally, someone actually goes to my home park
he's been here before, im surprised he went back lol
@@dapmon7762 renegade is worth it
so hyped you got on renegade on a good day. night rides on it are so sick too
Bro! Those hills on High Roller are intense 😱
6:22 I love the other tabs that are open lol
Eyyyyy! Nice to see you guys at my home parks! I just went to Valleyfair at the end of July and loved it!
Its so funny to see your perspective of my home park in high-school I'd go there all the time and loved it but now having binge watched your channel I realize that I've never been on a super great coaster, I really want to go to cedar point next season so I have some actual good coaster creds 😩
Got mild whiplash from the brake sound being different
The only reason Cedar Fair has been neglecting Valleyfair for so long is because they've secretly been planning to give the park an RMC Raptor, the new Vekoma STC invert, a launching Mack, a B&M Giga, and an RMC conversion of Excalibur -- all for 2023
If only that was true
I really hope that’s teue
@@TCSCskater 2023 isn't over yet!
that “airtime” hill at 4:58 made me laugh so hard!
uncle nate needs to be in more videos! THE BEST! love the vids man!
I was so happy to see this video come out haha I am going for the first time next weekend !!! Then to Mall of America after
I love the arrow lift hill sound!!!!
Uncle Nate busting out the moves in line - love it!
High rollers chainlift spunds exactly like smashing plates on the ground
High roller is actually really fun, but it could use a new paint job soon 😂
Nate dancing to Backstreet boys made my whole life.
Here I was, thinking that by the time I can escape lockdown & get over there to visit these parks I'm going to be completely conditioned to expect Mean Streak trims, Lamb of God & elevator music on most of these coasters..... then you hit us with a new 'trim brake break'! LOL 🎢
This is sick! I subscribe and the first thing you upload is a (proper) Coaster Idiots trip to my home park!
I honestly think they really need a new coaster. They haven't got one since Renegade
@@courtneyernste4341 You're telling me. :/
The last Valley Fair vlog felt like yesterday but the mang is back!
How'd the hell did this park get a star flyer and Larson loop?? To cheap to get a new coaster again?
It’s better than a new bench and new trash can.
I’m genuinely curious why Uncle Nate got pulled over by the cops.
He was walking around the park perimeter nerding out over rides and taking pictures. I guess he looks sketchy enough that park security approached him 😂
Honestly that sounds like a reason I'd get talked to by park security.
@@lumindoesvideos just tell him about block zones and they will let you go
I can tell you from experience that a lot of VF’ security are anal and have nothing better t do than Harass paying customers.God forbid someone take pictures near a perimeter.
This is the park I grew up going to and I was always like "Yeah I guess it's a good thing the youtuber I watch for their problematic rollercoaster videos has never done any on Valleyfair" so this video was really cool to see lmao. Excalibur was always my favorite ride - good to hear they're probably keepin it around. On one visit we got to ride it four or five times in a row and my little teenage heart had never been so happy (Or had been beating so fast haha). The only ride I've enjoyed on Wild Thing, however, was when they stopped it mid-ride for the firework show (or a technical difficulty perhaps? Idk, I'm gonna say it was just so my friends and I could watch the fireworks.)
I remember riding Excalibur probably 15 times in a row one time while it was raining
Love valley fair!
I miss the old valley fair days. I moved to South Dakota last year and sadly there isn’t any parks out here. I remember my first roller coaster was the high roller and I was young at the time I remember crying sitting next to my mom lol
I love the brakes effects. Fucking roared when Corkscrew crawled in, and the effects kicked in. Thank you, Ryan.
I'm happy you said Gold Striker was better than Renegade than MT, that put a smile on my face.
I just recently discovered your channel and looked through your videos to see if you had anything about Renegade.. its one of my favorites!
also love the use of LOG
I work here as a ride op and high roller has one train where people get stuck in the back seat every single time. Love your videos though, just found your channel, keep up the good work!
I wish I could say the same thing as you about High Roller. I rode in the back and got a really bad ride last summer. Slammed into the seat following the turnaround made it a one and done for me.
them larson looper credits hit different @9:45
😂😂
So glad you're spreading the good word about Excalibur lol
Ayyyy the Goldstriker shoutout at the end though!
tired of seeing coaster enthusiasts like uncle date getting constantly profiled 😤
High Roller was my first ever coaster. Stoked to see Valley Fair is still going strong.
(2:27) the guy in the back row, Mike, has 17,000+ rides on Renegade. I met him when I was at Valleyfair! on May 30th.
Renegade Mike!! He was the best when I used to work at renegade
bro that SFGA rope drop clip never gets old
Uncle nate is not wrong about renegade. It was running hot last Friday afternoon. Rode last row, left seat and broke my phone in my pocket. $1000 ride on renegade! Yee haw!
That SFoG rope drop is GOAT
The trim break noise effect (whatever it is) cracked me up every time
Liked the slomo when there was airtime on High Roller lol 😂
Very entertaining video. Great editing...........
Went to Valley Fair every summer growing up.
I like the new brake run sound
And to think, Millennium Force was almost a Morgan.
i call the rope drop "the running of the bulls" 🤣although here it looks more like strolling through the park with one single running bull...🤣
I don’t think Uncle Nate mentioned Renegade enough
dudeeee you were back .... how did i miss you at my home park. i need to meet up with you !!! and your right.... were soooooo underrated its not even funny.. WE desperately need a new coaster bad!! its only been 15 years..... if they would just give us the money.. cough b&M invert cough... and build one.... it would be paid off in one year 100%%% like we get people.. attendance . profit.. they just need to hand us the check... or anything .. we just need a coaster like nowwwwww... but i hope you come back soon. next time im definitely meet up with you.. :) :)
I have to subscribe cuz I love trim breaks lol
We get the same exact Panda order. Chowmein/Fried Rice, Orange Chicken and Beijing Beef. Good man
Awe, I grew up in Mn and I loved going here in the summers
Great vid! I do miss the old mean streak trim sound more though
It’ll be back 😂 don’t worry
Ryan! Whats your favorite lamb of god track? I love everytime you use their music lol.
As this park is the only one we have locally I would say it’s pretty good, has a couple good coasters. Hopefully be able to go to six flags or someplace else at some point.
Nice. We got a new brake run sound.
Brings back long-lost memories of hitting those trim brakes in elementary school.
Watching your vlogs makes me tired tbh but then I stay awake anyway
Ryan you need to ride *WILD* Thing this year! It is insane with airtime!
Appreciate the CGA Gold Striker s/o 🙌
THOSE NEW TRIMS~~~~~~~
Valley fair was a department store near me when I was a kid.
wait stop )': literally just found ur page on my suggested and this is my fave place in the world. I dont live in mn and havent been in years so im crying a bit.
Yeah, I got a smooth ride in the back car on CP's corkscrew on Coaster Day '21 (might be because the blue car was MIA, could've been the rain...idk)
Nice. Maybe I’ll go up north some day..
Wild mouse there is exactly like the one at California’s Great America with trash ops. It’s so fun but they stack every time and take 2 minutes to dispatch.
Please do a video on wild things little accident back in 2010 ish. Thank you bro, love the channel. I’m here in Minnesota btw..
I'm pretty sure that they retracked high roller this year, because in my 9 season pass years, it's never been this smooth.
Ah, so they have one of the 'if a storm ever hit, just get on an Arrow mouse'
(Also yay, Ryan likes CPs Corkscrew 4Head)
This park is weirdly clean.
This is my local theme park, lots of years going there
Nice park, renegade is great
Uncle Nate dancing with a fanny pack on is pure gold.
Happy late Birthday NATE
Thanks!!
I miss Wild Rails and that hill they took out on Excalibur.
Oh man, Wild Rails was such a fun ride!
YES
4:35 Ha yeah I remember that joke from that Arrow documentary. How they only sold 5 of them and barely made anything on them because they were so overbuilt. Too much steel.
Excalibur’s a classic
Great video, I'm Henry and I'm a new subscriber to your RUclips channel
road to 80k
Yes I remember waiting for the wild mouse there and I was like why do they have so many trains running when they just stack them like?? Cuz then we’re just sitting out in the sun forever waiting to get off which totally sucks. Pretty decent park overall though
Excalibur > Renegade
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
2:35 it’s renegade mike 😂😂
That’s my boyfriend that said hi and is a fan!!!! He’s famousssssss lol
Parkour! On a real note, who wouldn't sprint to almost anything at CP!
Sheeeesh
Are you going to do a video about the Top Thrill Dragster incident?
On my last day in Ohio, Wicked Twister needed a new Control system, and we know that ride's going bye-bye so don't count on Excalibur staying awhile
Wicked Twister might be relocated though
As a guy who gets a gold pass each year The Mild Thing is a accurate description.
Renegade is my top ride but we’ll see how long that lasts as Im going on Lightning Rod and Fury 325 in a couple of months
Did you use old footage on high roller? Some of those trees look bare 🤔
Haha caught me
