- We wanted a better shower system to go with our Wolfwise pop up shower room, so I decided to think outside the box a bit and design one to fit in the bed of my 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma. Most showers like this are on racks under roof top tents or are straight long tubes on top of a Prinsu style rack above the cab. I wanted a lower center of gravity and to be able to pull the shower out in the sun to heat up the water. Is it perfect...no way, but its better than what we had. In this video I will test out my design, give you a parts list and give you a rough cost on what it would take for you to build something like this. We hope this improves our truck camping experience and gives you some ideas and inspiration to think outside the box and build your own. Stay safe out there. TbT. #travelingbytacoma
Looks cool nice design
Thanks for the nice comment and for checking out the channel Kanye. Stay safe out there. TbT.
Where did you find 8ft sections of 3” ABS?
Pretty sure if I remember correctly it was Lowes. Hope that helps.
@@TravelingbyTacoma 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 thank you.
How are you going to heat the water for a hot shower?
🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞. Takes about 2 hours of full sun. The black pipe heats up the water very quickly... almost too hot in summer. Thanks for watching. Stay safe out there. TbT
can you leave the compressor hooked up on while you shower for constant air pressure. I like the design.
Thanks for checking out the video. We leave it connected, but the compressor is not constantly on, we just turn on the compressor (20 seconds or so) when more pressure is needed. We used it over Thanksgiving out in the desert and it worked great. Stay safe out there. TbT
