1 on 1 Battles between some of the premier martial arts trickers from around the world.
• 5 Tricking Passes/Combos per athlete
• Length of combo and choice of moves are at their discretion
• Individuals will be judged on technical difficulty, execution, creativity, and overall
impression

This was an awesome battle from two of my favorite trickers. Shame they had to battle so soon. Matt got the better on this occasion I must say and his combination that started on 5:14 was just ridiculous! Even Anis and Terada went crazy lol

Matt destroyed this battle, damn near everything was on point! That combination at 5:12 though, a work of art. Even though I'm battling against him you can see how excited I am for him! Good thing for me there wasn't another round cause he was catching fire.
Really fun battle, hope to do it again sometime.
I don't know much about tricking, but I really like the way you keep your feet together on some of those flips -- I think it adds a visual flair that I haven't seen from most trickers.
dagman85 3rdCoastAlliance I think even more important than the tricks was Sessh's attitude. You really earned my respect on this one!

This was a perfect matchup, two legends fought each other. Im glad this happened.
Man I know Emig absolutely KILLED it in this battle, but what I love the most personally is Sessh's attitude the entire time. He actually enjoyed the whole event and that really impresses me. That's expected from someone who's been in tricking for over 2 decades

I first thought they were facepalming for the split because it looked like it came down a little heavily haha. Great battle, good job! 23 years?! I knew Sessh is oldschool but that's sick! I thought that I couldn't respect him more but apparently I can.
Matt did kind of mess up twice, but come on, most of the judges are looking for the clean factor, and he definitely showed that on three of his combos. Good job.

Is Sesshoumaru a bboy too? He did 1990s and flares in previous videos and some of his movements here resembled bboy footwork.
That being said, major props to both of these guys.
What happened to Matt in this tournament? He won this round but there are no others videos of him on this tournament.
Emig brought his A-game, props. Would have loved to see Sessh stay in longer.

Right, But you know just how good the dude really is though.. People don't get it when Matt says sessh has all the hard moves meaning sessh has a greater risk of falling or fucking up had he attempted to do any of his harder moves.

This is how trick battles should be, alot of variations in kicks and styles, not guys doing a bunch of continuous corkscrew.
How does one judge individual style?... One can't officially judge another based on their OWN style.

maphewU6 um I actually went to prairie view a&m with Shujinko aka sessh aka Sean ellis he was my sensei and closest friend you may not know but he is a master of many martial arts and I remember when they started the tricking movement...he has astounding abilities you couldn't even conceive under his belt and I wonder if he ever completed demon fist...he was one of the greatest influences in my life....he taught me how to run and jump and land like a cat...i remember there was some goons about to jump on a helpless guy and b4 I could say anything he solved the situation almost wordlessly...hes just as awesome of an Architect as he is a ninja...i remember seeing feetprint on the ceiling in the architecture building like wtf...they were his... this dude literally used to do already crazy assignment twice once in English and once in Japanese....i love this dude like real life B' yes I mean the eight tails from Naruto...and part of the reason I'm the Flokage...he should be 37
