    Navratan kormawas a dish we always enjoyed in restaurents and wanted to try at home. But always had a thought that this may be something difficult. But we tried this recipe at home yesterday and you wont beelive it was exactly similar or may be better than we get outside. All of our guests liked it as well. Thank you for this receipe .It was not hard too to follow. Even a bachelor can do by himself. We didnt get the pinapple cubes but this was great..

    I am trying your recipe today with a few substitution tweaks (no peas /french beans). We've been in love with Navaratan Korma for over 15 years but the assumed detail and religiosity of all of the steps have always intimidated me in attempting to cook it because I want a fabulous end product. My mum makes a mean N.K. dish however i want to try it on my own too. Ha! Your recipe looks very good. So today, "Sanam's Kitchen," will be helping me in my kitchen. :)

      Hello Thanks ri re, I am so glad to help. This dish is very simple to make once you get the recipe. I make every once in two weeks and its my fav dish to cook because of its simplicity. I am so glad to help as many as I can through my channel. I m not professional chef I learned a lot by just trial and error and I give all credits to my husband, he always encouraged me to make it more better and better until its perfect. So your comment is also very encouraging and its inspiring me to post more recipes that I have perfected in my home kitchen in a very simple way. Thanks a lot.

    Here is very rich, delicious, authentic and very flavorful creamy Navratan Korma recipe (9 mix vegetable curry). The name comes from royal "Navratan" meaning Nine gems-which represents 9 veggies, fruits and nuts used in this onion-tomato creamy sauce/curry. This recipe is tested and perfected to its authentic taste and texture. Its very simple and easy to prepare with very few ingredients and spices. For this recipe I have used 9 vegetables/fruits/nuts but you can choose whatever is preferable to your taste. You may also substitute sugar with honey. The main and key ingredient is Kasoori Methi (fried fenugreek leaves) which gives its authentic flavor just like you find in North Indian restaurants.
    I hope you enjoyed this recipe video and its really very simple to make. Try this recipe and please share your experience with us. And please don't forget to SUBSCRIBE my channel

    I have seen another chef boil the cashews with the onions. Do you advise this? I suspect a hot boil will present more of its korminess which is really what we are all after. Thank you so much for your loving and instructive video. I admire it most greatly.

    • @Sanamskitchen
      @Sanamskitchen  8 лет назад

      Bryan L. Yes, you can boil the cashews or cook them with onions and tomatoes. The texture will remain the same.
