brother thank u so much for such a great video. I am literally closing on my house this month on the 25th, and I had no idea hot to do this job. You literally just showed me how to get it done plus you saved me a lot of money by showing me. I just subscribed to your channel.
Luv it. Sheet rock helps bcuz of the weight and so any shakes from ground/earth won't have ur accent wall come tumbling down. DNT just put it on ur drywall. It will be a disaster waiting to happen later..
Sheetrock is drywall. You meant to say Durock helps. However with many of these interior stone projects the manufacturer will tell you it is ok to apply over sheetrock up to a certain height..usually 9 or 10 foot.
We hired a professional to design our outdoor grill area and then added a nice frame around an outdoor tv wall and it looks amazing. I highly recommend this design. It’s much more detailed work and always better to hire a professional. Thanks for sharing your video.
Thanks for your video. It's nice to see people showing its achievable doing it yourself as well. Can't wait to start my whole house with this hahahaahahah. (First have to buy before market gets chaotic)
I want to do something like this around my existing painted brick fireplace. The tricky part is that I need to mount a 60" TV at the top, run wires behind/through the facade wall, and figure out how to situate a gas-insert fireplace back in its place when the job is finished. Adhesive sounds like a great idea for most of the wall, but I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to bolt a 60lb TV stand up there. I suppose the trick will be to use very long bolts.. ;)
Searching RUclips for indoor stone wall ideas, this was the first video in the list, and that is the EXACT color, style and thickness of stone veneer I've been searching for! What product is that?
Great video, other videos show people mixing mortar in a bucket and applying to wall and stone before adhering, this is so much simpler. Are you sure this is all I need to make sure they adhere well?
Great video. I'm getting ready to install a backsplash in my Kitchen using the same MSI stone you used in your video. You did a great job of answering most my questions. My kitchen is L shaped so that I will have both ends with nothing to butt up to. How do I finish those ends to look nice. I will also have a foot or two exposed on the top where counter extends beyond the cabinets. How can I finish that to look nice?
All the other DIY I've researched do the butter backing using a trowel. Your way looks easier, which makes me wonder why people would do it any other way. Could some one explain the difference
If it is a dry environment wall like a dining room and you are just using adhesive is it necessary to put up cement board? Can you just install to sanded sheetrock? The ashesive will adhere just the same.
Thanks for posting this valuable video, I was searching exactly for this type of stone fixing. I have drawn the mentioned way in my Construction Drawing. 25-10-2021
Shouldn’t you have started the next row with the piece you cut off from the first row? The piece you cut off, already has a straight line and there is no gap when you start the next row with the piece you cut off. You would save a lot of time by starting the next row with the piece you cut off and not leave a bunch of little gaps as the piece you’re cutting off is already a straight line and you would start off from where you left off with the last piece. You would think that it is the same concept as laying out wood floor or laminate. We always start the next row with the piece of laminate that we cut off of the last piece you’re laying out from the last completed row. Maybe it works different with this.
Great tip and good point you are absolutely correct thank you again! I'm interested in doing this in the dining room and you just saved me a great deal of time and headache by mentioning this
Some products allow you to do it straight onto the dry wall or on to plywood, I wouldn't recommend that unless its your own home or you aren't bothered with repairing the wall if you have to take it down at some point.
Whats the purpose of the cement board ? For adhesive strength? Can this be applied to a painted sheetrock wall or painted plaster wall without the cement board backing it ?
A really nice and comprehensive guide by a charismaric guy. One question though, what if I want to install these panels on a painted brick wall? Do I need to sand the surface to get rid of the paint? Do I need to install these concrete panels so the adhesive has something to grip to?
@@milkcowx Especially if I screw it up or don't like it, I can just take down the cement board and stone along with it and still have my original wall intact, right?

Got to love trying to listen to him talking when the music is louder than him.
no kidding - annoying music
Highly agree.. some people cant decide if they're making a tutorial or a music video. Clicking away..
Same here!

it's cement board sheets

Stone inside and out would be beautiful.
Can you install this directly onto the drywall or will it fail and why? Great video!
For anyone wondering what brand the stone is, I’m 99% sure it is MSI Arctic Golden! We just bought the same stone.
Is it expensive ?
love how the music drowns out his voice very effective
Beautiful job, you give me good idea for my room thanks😊👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great video. Right on time for a job I’ve lined up. Hard to hear you over the music tho’.
Great video, easy to follow along, the presenter is easy to understand and has a nice smile (bonus). Thank you for this video.

Nice work! Love the stone. Can you share the name/style of the stone?
Do you have a link on the stone. Love the end result 😍
Nice work I have a question I want do a small section on living room can I install ontop of shirock and were can I found that stone
I think this was a good video . Let me see if u have a backsplash video
Nice to know that it can easily be done. Thanks for the tutorial

Very professional results
Hi… Can you please let me know which tool you have used to cut the tile. Thank you in advance.
Excelente Vídeo, Saludos desde CHILE..!

Really nice job.
What about the vertical edges. After putting the stone on the cement boards, the purple coloring of said boards will be exposed. Any ideas?
I can't wait to do this.
Can you use this to cover a brick fireplace? Any issue with heat? TY
I want to install a stone on the chimney. Can I install it using cement or silicone so that it can withstand the heat of the chimney?
All the other DIY I've researched do the butter backing using a trowel. Your way looks easier, which makes me wonder why people would do it any other way. Could some one explain the difference
Glue applied with a trowel is probably better for a application that needs to be water proof like a bathroom
Hi . Can the same be done on the exterior walls of the house? Thanks
Love this .. thanks a lot for the video looks amazing
I live in a condo... the more projects I do and more items I buy.. the more I am beginning to wonder if i should get a storage unit lol
Is this something you could put in your bathroom or would the humidity from showers or baths cause it to not stick?
What's the longevity of using this method vs concrete? this seems easier and less time consuming but I'm not sure what is best to use?
Good job looks beautiful!!
Can you tell me again the name of that drywall that you drilled onto the wall?
It didn't need any music tbh especially as it's a short vid anyway. Thx wall looks great 👍

Is there an update photo? How did it hold using just that caulking?
Do I have to use backer board on an accent wall?
Thanks for posting this valuable video,

Does not look like you’re actually answering questions... but I’ll try. How long did it take you to do this full job?

The piece you cut off, already has a straight line and there is no gap when you start the next row with the piece you cut off. can this be used outside and how would you do the corners?
Thanks for the video.
Do i need concrete boards, can't I go right over existing dry wall in living room?
Same question
Cement board is much stronger and doesn’t flex like drywall.
Is it better to put the Rockboard on top of the sheet rock or should I rip down the sheet rock and put the rockboard right to the studs!?
Silicone installation is better, but can it withstand heat? Thank you
Hi, can i use a tile polymer modified cement to instal veneer stone? Thank you
most of these show you using mortar does this glue take the place of that?
Cool. what stone did you use in this project? i like it
I love it. I hope i can do this as well.
where can we buy the u stone masonry adhesive?
What benefit is provided by adding concrete board over the drywall?
I’d think the benefit is not ruining the wall
Can you apply this to install stone veneer over plywood
Thanks! Great work! I will do it this weekend! 👍
Can I put these onto a painted wall??
Why do we need cement board inside? Is it just for strength and stability? I am just trying to figure it out to do a small water closet wall.
That's freaking crazy! No mortar droppings and no scratch coat?
Ohhhhh I love this!😱❤️
Nice stone
Can you just add to existing dry wall instead of buying cement board and placing it over dry wall?
Some products allow you to do it straight onto the dry wall or on to plywood, I wouldn't recommend that unless its your own home or you aren't bothered with repairing the wall if you have to take it down at some point.
Would chalking a level line be more useful? Or not with stone
Great job 👍
You really did a great job can you do one for the out side of the house.
Thanks
Where do you get the U stone glue ??
What's the cost? Maybe he said it, but I missed it will rocking out to this jam!
Can u please tell me what is the name of the board that u put I couldn’t hear it because of the background music
Cement board aka hardi backer
Whats the purpose of the cement board ? For adhesive strength? Can this be applied to a painted sheetrock wall or painted plaster wall without the cement board backing it ?
I believe it’s to protect the actual wall. Like if you live in an apartment, you wouldn’t wanna glue those panels to the wall.
Loved it!!!
Would the adhesive be safe to use on the same style wall if it reaches heights taller than 10 feet high?
Can I use hardybacker instead of cement board
Can someone tell me what type of blade is used to cut this stone? I’ve bought 2 so far and none seem to cute the stone tile I have .
New subs and bell clicker.
I appreciate the background music to make sure we cannot hear a thing of what he is saying!
What if I put up my Dur rock up backwards with the writing on the inside? Will that affect the motor setting properly?
love the faux stone but still afraid of weight. What is the weight of this per tile/sqft?
the one produced by Decoresin is 1,1 kg for sq meter
Could you do the same procedure on a wall with paneling ?
I can't hear the installer over the music
How many boxes did you need
hOW COME YOU CANNOT FIND THIS ADHESIVE
Ho do i get those products in bangladesh
What style and type did you use for this job?
I have a wall like this in my home and I want to remove it- what’s the best way to do it? Can my husband and I do it ourselves?
how long does the wall last?
Is there such a thing as tile too heavy for interior? My tile guy told me to return ours because of the weight. Not sure if I should believe him.
Are these something that can be bought from the website and if so what’s the name of them to search on the website
You don't need the music, it is distracting.
A really nice and comprehensive guide by a charismaric guy. One question though, what if I want to install these panels on a painted brick wall? Do I need to sand the surface to get rid of the paint? Do I need to install these concrete panels so the adhesive has something to grip to?
Hello mate , I'm curious what did you do ? Can you place these onto a painted wall
There are washing liquids, that cleans and softens the paint, so the adhesive will have a better grip. You don't have to remove the old paint.
Great video! Can this be installed directly on my dry wall if I rough it up a bit? Thanks.
I wouldn't recommend it. It's worth taking the extra step and putting up that cement board
@@milkcowx Especially if I screw it up or don't like it, I can just take down the cement board and stone along with it and still have my original wall intact, right?
Can this go on top of stucco?
Music too loud, finding it hard to listen to the instructions
Is not real rock is it..Is fake?
My wall is a cement wall, can it still be done?
Question why not just adhere the veneer to the drywall itself?
Do u need to apply a sealer when finished
Where can I get this product in south africa
Thank you!!
Bro can I use this on concrete wall and use tin set as the paste ?
