I’ve been transitioning to a nomadic lifestyle and living in my rv for almost a year. I mostly booondock (camp with out utilities, preferable in the forest). It has brought balance to my life and a wonderful solitude that has saved my soul. You did a really good job explaining RV Life, especially if you didn’t have previous experience, Bravo!
So yesterday my friend was actually saying he wanted to move out of his flat and live in an RV forever!! Just sent him this video and it explains a lot of the arguments we were having yesterday about it lol!! Great video very informative 👌
Just a general PSA for ppl who want to RV full-time, there are internet options that you can take with you on the road if you require it. Wi Boost poles, setting up with your cell phone and/or internet provider, using personal hotspots on devices, etc.
I’ve watched your videos since the “Christian LeBlanc” days and I am such a huge fan!! I love this video (and every other video). As a budding content creator and travel agent, you are such a huge role model and influence in how I’m structuring my business!!!
My wife and I just spent ten days in a rented RV....Never again. It's a giant pain in the ass. Not only is the RV rental cost exorbitant, but campsites with electric and water cost as much as a hotel. I didn't enjoy the lack of room, the close proximity to other campers, the thin walls where you can hear other campers whispering, noisy generator, tiny shower that ran out of hot water in just a few minutes and the lackluster kitchen facilities (limited counter space, small fridge, crummy stove). Worst of all is the way the huge RV limits your mobility. We had to park miles away from attractions and couldn't go to restaurants for dinner without having to unhook from the campsite and batten down all our equipment when driving off. All things considered we have decided that the way to travel during Covid is to buy a big comfortable SUV, stay in nice warm comfy hotels with hot showers and free breakfasts and not have a monthly RV payment along with the added costs of added insurance, frequent gas fill-ups, winter storage and winterization and frequent repair bills. If I need to cook my own meals I'll book an AIr BnB. Just looking at how quickly these RVs depreciate in just a year or two shows me I'm not the only one that has come to this realization.
@Doraemon Our rental of an RV cost us $1300 for the week. Plus gas, campground fees, propane, tolls and firewood. We could've stayed in nice hotels for less.
THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR INSPIRATION!!!! I’m soon gonna turn 16 and thx to u I have big ideas for my early 20s I’m saving up and I’m gonna work a few jobs ...save up and move to Asia !!!! I didn’t realized it was you Christian le Blanc until I heard your voice. Lol. I was clicking on RVing and understanding the cost on going for a road trip on an RV for months. :) This will be my plan for the year 2022. My plan is taking off for 3 months from work. Maybe work as a travel Nurse and live in an RV.
For some reason, I saw it coming. But you had a good run tgt, as long as you enjoyed the memory. Keep the good videos coming, making Canadian vloggers proud!
We hope to purchase a travel trailer next year to live in full time. We can't wait even with all the challenges we will have going tiny, I'm looking forward to the adventure! Thanks for the transparent video!
If you turn on your inverter you can use your plugs at all times. U only need to use generator to recharge batteries. Also I run my generator while driving all the time in texas heat because inverters don’t hold enough power to run roof air conditioning. If your not use if roof air conditioning you can just turn on the inverter and still have power to all plugs and power.
The RV plugs gives you 120 volts AC (alternating current) at 15 amps with the adapter and the without it gives 30 amps. The voltage is constant but the different plugs gives you more power. Power is voltage time current. Just a correction from a Fellow Canadian. Keep up the great work otherwise.
A lot of people are saying "we miss Katy", of course, two of them together have been the combo that we've been used to watching for a couple of years now. However, this is life, and i think it shows that there is no such thing as "perfection", or "perfect couple". I really hope both of them the best, and as a Lost Leblanc subscriber i am glad to be introduced to Katy and will follow her journey too! Christian, i know you appreciate the beauty of woman as you tend to use your girlfriend as a 'muse' in your videos, you know what, i think you can be a fashion photographer or do more fashion projects! Collaborating more with models or model-influencers and work with brands...if it's not in your horizon already, it should be ;)
Those Rockies! 🏔 🤩 Parkour max in for the win! King of grey water king of the rock!😂 but I will say generator kill is ... a nightmare. But proper shoutout to Storyblocks, in for a solid cinematic win!
Im not sure if I should get a small home and a car or an rv. An rv sounds really tempting but if im just gonna live in one city and not plan to travel too far, im not sure if its worth it. Its something worth thinking about, but going to work from an rv sounds so much easier if you can park it close to work some days instead of driving 5-20 miles every time
RV living is hands down so much more intense than people think! It sure as everything far from always glamorous! 😅 kudos to you for making it work and pulling through though.
Hey Christian, check out the VW California Camper, for traveling solo in that is a home run. You would love it man, for a solo traveler it is the dream! This vehicle has all the pros of the old VW but has a new great engine/frame with great gas mileage and even has all wheel drive options! You buy one of these in Europe (not available in US) and travel in it, you would have non stop amazing content.
The VW California can go from anywhere up to 10k Euros in Europe. They are rare. VW stopped exporting the Transporter (which the camper van is based on) to North America in 2003 (generation Eurovan or T4). The latest generation (T5-T6) are still being sold in Mexico. Sadly import regulations of the US mandates that a NHTSA nonconforming vehicle has to be 25 years or older to be imported. In Canada it is 15 years or older. It is close to impossible. Westfalias from the 80s are also great. I have a Doka bus and I am out camping solo with that for already three months.
Working remote on the move is actually quite easy and efficient. It is simply your miss-expectations of free wifi and data access in Canada and North America. It is known North America is quite behind the rest of the world.in free access. Just do your homework first and you will be fine. You want data, just find the right plan and pay for it. If you can afford the RV cost, then the cell data cost is a minor add on. You, as a Canadian, should have been well aware.
Same! He inspires me so much! Because of him I started my own channel, I cant travel as much as you do but I have a lot of videos from London where I live! Hopefully one day will get as good as he is!
I really enjoy your amiable and humorous demeanor and video style. If you can keep that going through difficult times you will land on your feet and enjoy continued success no matter who your love interest is. Hang in there and thank you so much for featuring our great country. (Next time, try northern BC - it is awesome!)
Awesome video! We've been considering doing some RV traveling because we want to explore some areas with our hiking. We think this video gives us a very realistic overview of RV life.
We just started sharing our first RV experience but went with a Truck Camper which is way more compact but easy to fit / park anywhere. Might be something to look into 💕
You can come a long way if you Pay attention to your waterconsumption :) Sailed 9 days and 2 hours in a row 4 people and used less than 200 l or less than 50 gal of Water.
Don't worry guys. I think they will get back together. Its just another one of those we need time apart to find ourselves again moments. Being together 24/7 is not easy. Time away to miss each other is not a bad idea. Nice RV.
Lost LeBlanc think we’d definitely need a wifi hotspot for full time van life and working, guess as you were just doing it temporarily there was no point getting one. We plan to drive around Canada one day so we’ll definitely be revisiting all these when we do☺️
There are a lot of good van life channels that address the issue of internet. Lot's of good tech on the market so you can have wifi (almost) anywhere you travel
Loving this! We just started a trip with CanaDream in their RV Truck Camper (which is far more compact than this one haha). Having SUCH a great time sharing our adventure aaaaaand loving the views 😍😍 Maybe we will check out something bigger next time .. compare and contrast haha
Great video! Having spent a lot of our time this summer getting into RV-ing, we found that we were almost always able to get amazing spots because we focused specifically on boondocking. We also have a towable instead of a motorhome, and the RV itself has a lifted suspension so we were able to get into spots and go down forest service roads that motorhomes just can't do normally. This enabled us to always go off the beaten path and have incredible campspots all to ourselves even in midst of the busiest camping season ever in BC and we never stayed in a regular campground or RV park. Having a towable was also great because we got leave our trailer and just take the truck into town for supplies or check emails/work. There's also a lot of cellphone signal booster options out there for RV's that make working on the go easier when you're out in the wildnerness!
