My wife and I have been following your channel for a couple of weeks now and we wanted to get some back history, so we started with the January 2020 videos and worked our way up to this one.... After we binged watched the last 12 episodes last night, we looked at each other and thought that was better than Netflix lol.... We would almost be willing to pay for such great content! :) So from fellow millennial to fellow millennial , keep it up or in Zachs words, keep keepin it between the rows! ;)
Yeah, and how he got to be who he is. Anyone wanting to hire, or anyone looking to be hired... How the hell do you gain the skillz to fix any random mechanical thing like a pro, is he educated mechanic, work under someone for a while, previous farmer? And why/how did he end up working for this zoomer-boy when he clearly could start his own maintenance business.
Onyx !!!! Your so awesome handling that Grain Cart like Pro. Such a proud Papa and Grandpa you could only be in love with all the Blessings of the family working together.
As I look at my dining table filled with food and my cars full fuel tank, I want to thank you and the Millennial Farmer Family for their hard work and dedication. Thank you!
I want to thank you for keeping your channel family friendly. I am 17 and want to farm when I am older and you have provided me with lots of information, and is fun along with it!! I also want to thank you for what you are doing for the first responders. You are a great guy with a great family.
I can remember the first time I’ve drove a tractor my friend who was 11 at the time and me I was 10 and we were out raking hay and he said he was getting tired so I said ok and he said you wanna learn how to rake hay and I said yea so he got up and we swapped seats and hell I can remember I wasn’t strong enough to shift gears and it was a 3 speed manual so I’d push in the clutch and he’d reach over and shift the gears for me
We like to say that there are 2 “for sures” during harvest. You will break down, no matter how much maintenance you do, and you will get caught in the middle of the field during a rainstorm when it wasn’t even supposed to rain.
It is truly awesome that you got that boy working with you!!! I was about his age when ol' Dad put me behind the wheel of a tractor, brings back alot of memories!!!! Thank you for your content and your dedication to farming but most of all your dedication as a Father! God Bless you and your Family!
Love the ones with Onyx driving. I can only imagine how proud your are that your lil guy is able to help. That he’s starting to not be your lil guy has got to be equally has hard. Bittersweet, now doubt
I would love to hear an update from put me in coach (onyx), after his first week in operation. I remember as a kid harrowing fields in the middle of winter on a open cab kabota in Australia. Some of my best memories as a kid. Freezing, but the trust and responsibilities to do it right gave me a real sense of confidence.
Jim is truly a wonderful man, wish I had known someone like him years ago,.he's an asset to your operation. zack ❤ please slow down with the down time, I messed up my back rushing 30 years ago 😢 and still feel the pain.m today.
I love to see kids learning to work, especially with their dads. Onyx will be taking over the combine in the next 2 years and running the farm by 16. Watch out Zach, you won’t have a job soon. Keep up the great work. Farming is definitely the only life, and be safe.
It's funny where stuff ends up. I went to register a 1 ton truck I thought I owned (bought it at auction), come to find out the neighbor owned it along with the feller I bought er from!!
Onyx is probably a little too young to actually know how important his contrabution is right now. He's helping to keep the harvesting aspect running as smooth as possible, he's learning different aspects of the entire operation of the family life and last but certainly not least he's giving Grandpa a much needed chance to get that pesty knee healed up although I still think Grandpa will be back a little sooner than he probably should be lol. You can tell this apple didn't fall far from the tree. Great job Zach if raising a successful young man.
I can see how proud you are! Heck I’m proud of that young man! And if you ask Brian Brown he’d probably tell you that Onyx is doing a better job than brother BJ at this point! And I bet BJ still doesn’t pick up his socks either! Haha 😂
I love watching your videos, I Change a lot of bearings at work, watching you do that was painful. that bearing at work would have been about a 15 min job. tips:, _never ever use a hammer -throw the file away the only reason for it is to fix where you hit the shaft with the hammer -put a wire wheel on an impact always use safety glasses on this one it throws the little wires off. -make the shaft look like it was chromed using the wire wheel -pry the bearing off, a really nice bearing puller is very worth the cost. -lube helps but only to get it started, i dont usually have the fancy wd40 stuff on had so used motor oil seems to work well. do not lube it until it looks like chrome. -if it will still run, then run it and use sand paper strips while the shaft spins this is faster than the wire wheel method. its also more dangerous. also if it comes to cutting the bearing off a lot of the time a pipe wrench can get the sleeve moving after most of the bearing is gone, rotate and pull at the same time.
Trust me The way your channel has blown up Those are the two hardest working dogs in the neighborhood They deserve a rest now and then It’s nice to see at least they can agree on a time 😂🤣😂
Spent part of my youth on farms and ranches. Farm life isn't a forty hour week. You learn the true value of hard work. Strongest families can be found in this. Farmers and ranchers feed us and deserve our thanks. This is the real America.
The relationship with you and your boy reminds me of my dad and I when I was young and on the farm. His funeral is tomorrow, the last couple weeks the time I’ve spent with him, we’ve been watching your channel. Just wanted to tell you thank you for sharing your family and story.
You make America proud. Thanks for the food dude. I hope your John Deere connections can get you international exposure, people around the world would benefit from your tips, too. And then I saw the grain bin safety work your doing, volunteer I'll bet. Your like a super hero. Sincerely, best wishes. Joe F.
Dude, Jim is one awesome hand to have around. Mrs. Millennial Farmer was bringing a home cooked meal to her little boy, you just happened to be there....

That's awesome!! Thank you! There is a 2 part interview I did with Dad about a year and a half ago, check that out for some family history!
You guys have to start at the beginning that's how I caught up on a rainy weekend. It's all good 👍

LOL...I agree :)
Would enjoy hearing Jim's story sometime--he's a real asset to your farm.
No I would love this it would be a great video

Ironically I was thinking the exact same thing. He adds a lot to your stories with his colorful commentary.
That would be a good one
I love that Jim has gotten more comfortable being in the videos. Love his sense of humor.
Onyx has that cart down! A professional already. Great work dude!
Onyx !!!! Your so awesome handling that Grain Cart like Pro. Such a proud Papa and Grandpa you could only be in love with all the Blessings of the family working together.
Dude I am so impressed with Onyx. Kid shows real potential. I'm sure Grandpa is so proud of that young man being such an asset so early in life.
If I wasn't in the UK i would come over and adopt Jim, he seems an amazing human

Anyone else as proud as Onyx as Zach is to see him driving the grain cart

It’s crazy how fast storms pop up sometimes, then your in a mad dash to unload the combines and cover the grain cart and semis.
Lol
Very good comment. A businessperson learning to appreciate the art of farming by watching. Good clean entertainment.

Heck a year ago you were thinking Onyx didn't have much interest in the farming, now you'll never get him away from it! Stay safe guys!
Jim needs his own camera now and again.

Every sunset in south Florida is spectacular, and we have the ocean and no snow!

I love watching your videos, I Change a lot of bearings at work, watching you do that was painful. that bearing at work would have been about a 15 min job.
tips:,
_never ever use a hammer
-throw the file away the only reason for it is to fix where you hit the shaft with the hammer
-put a wire wheel on an impact always use safety glasses on this one it throws the little wires off.
-make the shaft look like it was chromed using the wire wheel
-pry the bearing off, a really nice bearing puller is very worth the cost.
