I think the culture one practices plays a big role as well. For instance within my tradition of Ifa there’s not a cookie cut way to deal with wives because we all were born with individual destinies. Our oracle system shows us how each individual should deal with marriage. I have elders that must be very sweet with their wives while others are different. Some people in tradition have taboos about being harsh on wives no matter the scenario. If Ifa says a man should be softer with his wives, the sacrifices made will remedy problems that could arise as a result of this. Blessed to have Orisas within my own marriage to my 2 wives 🙏🏽 blessings to all

Indeed, there is a fine line between kindness, foolishness, and naivety, and it is we who define and assign meaning to these terms 🦋

I was just wondering if I was being a punk by finally saying, "I'll still be around" when my new, soft spoken, lady said the one time she gets antsy and rude is during menstruation. I challenged her on it, saying she's free to lose her top to the wall or the mirror, and she amused me with this, by actually simulating it, but then said, she'd pretty much need permission to be abrasive with me during this time. I then told her she'd never do it on her job or to her boss, only for her to say yes, she had, and got away with it.
She said she'd still have respect for me, but she just can't control what she might do, when her hormones go berzerk, on a monthly basis.

You should be patient, but if you're sure she's just using her period as an excuse to act up, you did right. It may help if you approach her with multiple people who know she does this and tell her she's doing too much, especially if the third person's a woman.
