What amazes me is that we don't have any Palpatine Figures from the Rise of Skywalker, thats crazy to me. Especially since he was the biggest draw for that movie. I'm sure he would sell extremely well
I agree with your statement. I am almost considering moding my Amazon emperor with throne figure into a ROSW version. But with my history Hasbro will release it soon after the mod. Making me a bit upset from ruining a perfectly good figure LOL. I painted the head from the first black series Palpatine to match his ROSW first appearance. At least I have that .
I wouldn't say He [Palapatine] is the Biggest draw. But Yeah there has been only 2 figs of him in 10yrs!? The Big Bad Villain in A 9 part Movie Saga (that went downhill fast after the 2nd finished film). Pretty much unacceptable. Hasbro's speciality.
Hasbro have definitely commited to washing their hands of the sequels mostly because they just really don't sell (heck, look how many Roses and others ended up in Home Bargains stores 😅) Jcc2224 did a video a few years ago now addressing this issue and he's right about alot of it sadly 😞 Nevertheless, I would still like to see characters like Palpatine (who looked so badass in that red and black robe), General Pryde, Lando and others released.
I picked up this figure some months ago. once I experienced the waist articulation , I was not impressed...Until I modified it! Now Dark Rey can be posed more effectively.
I've held up on picking this one up for now but now I'm hoping to bag her soon. But yeah I'm ashamed the lack of TROS and Sequel stuff they've been releasing this year, especially with the number of other great characters there that haven't yet received figures in the black series line (or even at all for that matter). I'm right in saying that this is the only one so far that actually came in the new packaging from the trilogy as a whole
I think the unfortunate truth with sequel action figures, is that they just don’t sell. I’d be interested in seeing what they come up with & appreciate watching the reviews, but as someone that only collects a small range of what comes out, I’d probably avoid purchasing them. Maybe in 15-20 years when the films get a second life there might be a higher demand in the figures, but right now I think they’ve put their attention to the right places. Just a shame it’ll probably be quite a while before we see more sequel figures.

I think Hasbro did want to have a lot of stuff out for Rise of Skywalker but since JJ Abrams was back, Hasbro didn't get a lot to work with, and now with Disney Plus, Hasbro is in a constant game of catch-up with Mandalorian season 1 and 2, Clone Wars season 8, and Bad Batch. I think it will be a long time before we see more figures from Rise of Skywalker. I actually almost got this figure. I had it preordered but GameStop called me and said the price was incorrect and was going up. Cancelled it then but this does look really cool🤔🤔 might need to rethink that...
I'd love that! Especially now that Marvel have also sank their teeth into Bens story pre-TFA. I'd love to see the return of Comic Packs so we could see a Ben Solo/Supreme Gardener Snoke 2-Pack based on their appearances in "The Rise of Kylo Ren."

If it was a 3 3/4-inch, I would probably pick it up, just to add to my Sith army. But besides that, no real interest in the character
