Hi Mark thanks for the video, and godd bless your grandad and everyone who helped to keep everyone safe and to secure our futures, if only everyone really understood what sacrifices they made for us all and our future generations 🙏
Thanks Pete. Indeed, I’d love to travel around educating the youngsters how important it is to remember all those 1000’s of sacrifices! Sadly, our history isn’t thought of as much as it should be!
thanks for sharing this and your connection with the Lancaster, adds so much. I consider getting emotional about patriots and family a badge to be worn proudly. Ted in Sebastian, Fl.
Thanks for watching Ted, appreciate that. Hard not to think of grandad and all his fellow crewmates that gave up everything for us! Hopefully, some more Lancaster action soon.
didn't get the chance to come across and shoot this old lady but I was grateful for the chance to get pictures of the pair of Lancasters when we had the Canadian one over.
What a great, six weeks, that was when the Canadians brought Vera across! I managed to get out quite a few times, capturing both flying together, which was a tremendous site. I have released five limited-edition prints from the six week trip, I really must make a video on them !
Thanks for watching Mark. If only we could have a nice chat over a cup of tea with our passed friends and relatives about how wonderful those Merlin engine sound.👍🏻
I was at hill top Waddington watching it come from Fulbeck to Swinderby then circle round and head straight towards me. Probably the most exciting I’ve been about about any in my life! And I don’t really know why! But it was incredible
It’s hard not to get emotional whenever we hear the Lancaster and very hard not to think about the thousands that lost their lives for us up in the skies. Thanks for watching.👍🏻
Thanks for watching Clive, sorry I’m late replying! I knew there would be one or two, that wouldn’t have time to see the fly pass, so really pleased that you could catch a little bit of the atmosphere on here👍🏻
Terrific video for hand held. The light level was reminiscent of the time of day the first waves would have been forming for their raids on Germany. You like tht sound, imagine what it would be like if they get NX611 and the Canadian one together it would be awesome.
Hi Mark my uncle was a rear gunner in the Lancaster Bomber he was one of only 25 rear gunners to return to Australia hard to image what they went through he flew 39 missions over Germany.
No way, Jon! I must start posting my movements prior to any events like this as it is always great to catch up with fellow photographers and subscribers of the channel. We had a nice couple of passes didn’t we, perfect👍🏻
great vidio mark last week on sunday was also a airshow of 100 years of the airforce and airshow in duerne (belguim) took some nice pics and i did see also a few lancaster there to hope to see you on 5th of july in koksijde theres a nother airshow

The images are more meaningful when they are part of your history. Thx for sharing.
Thanks for watching👍🏻 you are right, seeing any picture of the Lancaster always gets me thinking of Grandad and his crew! We owe them so much
