I have the IF23 and love everything about it except the UI. When I saw the new IF24 had a completely updated switch I grabbed one. I would have preferred they had updated the LED to a XHP50.3 but I can live with the SST40.
I have been owing sofrin lights for a while and my love and trust for Sofrin lights is growing stronger. They manufacture best flash lights using top notch technology in their gadgets and prices are incredible and irresistible. No competitor can beat them . Thanks Sofrin
I'm impressed with my if 24. Love the rotary switch and it's so much easier to navigate modes than the previous if 23😊 I have put my order in for the if 24 pro. Sft 40 main led with a buck driver should be a great addition 👍
I have an IF23 and after watching this video , I will be adding one IF24 to my next Sofirn order. I will not likely buy an HD-01 because I am quite opposed to built in batteries
Yeah I was saying this before but that rechargeable battery makes this light more 'future proof' and it's only a matter of time before the battery conks out.
Nice light. Waiting on the release of the if24s. Love the rotary switch and fueatures it has. They should have added a laser pointer😅 and compete with arkfeld and hd01 in that sense. This might be my first “wedge” torch.
@@DarrenYeoYT reminds of the time someone saying he wanted to get some 9V battery connectors, I replied take them off your old or dead 9V batteries. Hope my initial reply helps, if so, do an upload and shows us please
Wurrkos Hd01 is slick and my new EDC. With that being said, I wanted this 24 pro. But that green laser wurrkos offers is hard to beat. If the 24 pro had agreen laser, it would be a no-brainer and go with sofrin. The fact that the sofrin cna also uses 2 cr123a batteris and extra rechargeable lights are a must. Sofrin is a bit bigger than the Wurrkos, and I prefer the wurrkos look and feel. Or the wurrkos needs to get rechargeable batteries and add SOS and Beacon mode for the win.
I reckon the IF24 is a better long term option due to replaceable battery if you don't need that laser. Waiting for someone to put all these features in one light without it being gigantic.
I have the Wurkkos HD01; I ran it for 3 nights on low with the side light (the white beam from double tapping the top button), and it's still going strong for my daily use light.
Could you possibly do a ceiling bounce test of this and the pro version - for total run duration? I would like to see how they each hold onto lumens and the efficiency/runtimes of the lights. Just about to buy the pro version. But would be good to know! I think lots of people would be interested to see what the buck circuit does in that respect.
I ordered an FC13 but will very likely send that back. Due to reviews I saw of the run time and its ability to hold lumins. Great torch otherwise but I need runtime using this on my bike on long cycle rides! You need more lumins there too esp off road parts. But I heard the IF24 FET version is actually not bad, a better quality driver, pretty good for a FET. Should be interesting to see how the pro and non pro compare on efficiency. I realise the warmer bulb loses a bit (probably why it is 1800 lumins not 2000)! But warm is nice/worth it.
Hi mate if I get some time this weekend I'll try run one. Been a bit busy lately. You might be able to find other reviews.. check out piercing the darkness. He does full runtime tests.

@@DarrenYeoYT I just picked up a 2nd one on sale for $22.63 with battery on AE. Did you see Weerapat just modded his with a S21e lens which makes it more floody. I'm going to try that.

That's annoying... I realised recently that you want to keep magnets away from them too as they can activate the light. Best to unscrew the tailcap a quarter turn when storing with other lights.
Why is nobody doing this? Well, probably because for serious use, RGBWW panel lights do it much better (e.g. HSI control, adjustable CCT, more effects, app control, gel and source simulation modes, and mode memory).

Nice mate, is the IF24 smaller as well? I don't have the 23 but know it has a 21700 configuration.

Yeah them and Convoy/Wurkkos are really my favourite budget brands. Especially Convoy.

Oh yeah that buck driver is worth the upgrade alone. I can see this sort of thing becoming standard soon.

The Wurkkos HD01 is really interesting too. If these types of lights added a 365nm UV light they'd be even better.
Amen. I love my HD01 - if it had the same setup in the front as Trustfire's MiniX3, game over.
It wouldn't be too difficult, those laser modules are tiny.

I'm just glad it takes a normal/replaceable battery :D
Common sense fights back
Also hanging on for the warmer tint version.
Replaceable battery and usbc charging. Im in
Check out the pro version too with buck driver. Even better
You could shrink wrap a small plastic bottle around it for added protection
Oh yeah? Never thought of that.
