I bought mine in 1985 but dropped it about 10years later but I had my JRC-535D by then. I should have bought another one when they were closing them out in 2003. Great receiver, great memories. 73!
Great video about a great receiver. I find the sync function really useful if you need to eliminate the hetrodyne from two close am stations. Had mine since the late 80's and wouldn't part with it. But yours looks to be in better condition!
Very nice review of a true classic.I wouldn't be without mine.What you could have mentioned is that this radio comes in different versions.They were made for different parts of the world.Mine has no airband.Some have shorter frequency coverage on sw and broadcast fm.I believe one which was for the middle East had no ssb(without checking my notes)but a true classic none the less.🐻🤗👍
These were good performers in their day. But you can get a new radio, at a fraction of what these sell for on eBay, and get better performance. And better sound. If you want to carry it as a portable, simply put it into a laptop case. It’s really not that large of a radio.
