Love the comment from Ryan (13:53) about YC acting as a 'forcing function' to just 'get shit done' because you're held accountable. That's a big challenge when you're making / shipping on your own.

How have you held yourself accountable?

20:00 How did you get started and get first users?
Watched until minute 25 and they still havent gotten useful insight on how to communicate with users, and build something they want

Its a meta-build, he was trying to find out why others were attracted to certain products and so he made a website about discovering products. If the product did good on the site there must be a interesting data point there. idk he rally didnt say exactly why he thinks people would want this but its something he wanted?

Delegating work definitely feels like you’re being less productive in the short term. I haven’t heard anyone say that until now but totally agree with that insight. But you use that extra time to strategize and plan for the future. A lot of people get stuck in the day-to-day operations and have no time to think about growth

Can someone explain how did he "built an e-mail list, sent it out and got a few hundred subscribers initialy", and how did the list grew? He said he did it in 20 minutes, how's that possible? What did he do exactly? Sorry for being a noob.
