A really good video - Lyra is fortunate to have such a great owner and an amazing new home. I hope she settles in quickly and there isn't a weight-loss issue.
Lyra’s going to be so happy! Also snake plants love humidity! But they don’t like wet feet, they need their soil to dry out all the way in between waterings ideally but that calathea you put in likes it very wet so maybe you can try avoiding the snake plants when you water the other plants and I bet they’ll do fine!
Good advice. I do something similar in my crestie's viv. My snake plants grow like crazy. I thought they were supposed to be slow growing, but both have sprouted shoots that have reached ten inches or so in ten months.
Lyra’s new home is beautiful! I wasn’t sold at first with that big blocky PVC tank profile instead of the visual openness of glass but once it was filled in it was still quite nice. Can’t wait to see Drogo’s remodel! Your original build video for his bioactive enclosure was one of the first videos of yours I ever watched and I’ve been obsessed with chahoua ever since 😅
This is gorgeous! Of course Lyra will love it, when she gets some time to settle. And, idk, but somehow you sound so confident in this video. Anyway, I really liked watching this and hope to see updates! ❤
I keep my crestie's tank humid and I have two snake plants in it and both have sprouted new plants that have grown tremendously in 10 months, almost as tall as the originals, which are about 18" each. I also water my tank too much, I suspect. They're still the opposite of suffering. I had hoped my gecko would use them more, but it just looove it's generic plastic suction cup feeding ledge. I put a trimmed piece of cardboard on the top and attach a bottle cap feeding dish with two sided tape, so it isnt just a plastic piece with two holes. I also planted a Janet Craig dracaena after seeing your geckos love them so, but mine doesn't seem to care for it really. Still, it's a nice plant to have.
Yeah I did get a new shoot from my snake plant too, however I do find they end up getting a bit floppy, whether thats due to Lyra's weight or too much water, I'm not sure.
Amazing tank and it's cool to see you improve from the last setup. I will probably get a crested gecko or some type of arboreal lizard as well (years from now). This video will help me. Thx😀
Love it! Interesting option for a Viv, not seen this brand before - I assume it's way lighter to move than an exo terra glass enclosure? They're so hefty when they're full, they're a nightmare. RE: your Calathea - he no likey tap water. Only rain or bottled water, or it'll throw a tantrum and look horrid. Other than that, they're great vivarium plants.
I have a female crested Gecko she is 6 years old and I had her since 3 grams she has never been with a male but she made a single self fertilized egg and the Baby was a copy of her, the Baby came out of the egg 0,5 grams and made it to 2 months, but the Vet was no help, when it suddenly got weaker so its no longer here unfortunately
What size was your other tank? And how far do you keep your lights. I seen your video on equipment and I'm gonna get the 2.4 uvb and 22w led. Awesome setup by the way I love that tank
do you think that a 60cmx45cmx45cm tank is sufficient enough for a 4 year old crestie?, i’m shopping around for new cages at the moment and was just wondering x
Aw unfortunately that would probably cost a lot, and I don't know if anyone would buy it. It's not too long, you can always use the chapters as a guide.
I really need help from anyone. My leopard gecko is so so so so skinny. I don't know what to do. He won't eat ANYTHING. i've tried it all but he won't eat and he is so skinny it almost makes me feel sick. Please someone help I'm really panicked.

Thank you! Yeah I try to avoid watering directly around the snake plants, so they just get the run off from other plants :)

Nice! :D I kind of wish I went a bit bigger lol
You are an artist
Everyone on the internet: Cresties love to sleep in snake plants!
My Crestie: HULK SMASH ALL THE PLANTS!
😂😂
Yes, I did enjoy the video, thank you. I believe Lyra is going to be very happy in her new home. I'm waiting patiently for the next one.👍🏻😁
Thank you :)

what is the ideal temperature and humidity to maintain it?
Don’t the gecko need the plants so they feel abut safer and it’s not so open?
Love it! ❤
Thanks!

Yeah I could actually carry it around easily before I filled it, but the glass tanks are sooo heavy.
Is the new minimum for a creative 90x45x45? Beautiful tank btw!

Aww poor baby - I've heard that's quite common with clones, but what an amazing thing to witness (not the death part).
where did u get your tree bark back wall ?
How do you clean it
Hello! Where do you get the cork background? I'm US based!

I'm got a 18x18x24

How do you set your heating for this tank, what kind of fixing do you use with the deep heat projector? Xx
Just a clamp lamp placed on the mesh :)
Hey, i just got an gecko when i every time touch him he just squeaks.
Are you able to make your Ebook into the physical book so I can carry it around and read it without having to worry about losing my place
Aw unfortunately that would probably cost a lot, and I don't know if anyone would buy it. It's not too long, you can always use the chapters as a guide.
Okay, Thanks. Keep up the great work I take care of three Leopard Gecko's in my Vet Science class and one at my house
One thing I've noticed about my crested gecko that I've had for 13 years is I've only ever found 1 egg from her. Is this normal???
I'm surprised people are still carving their foam. You can just apply dry substrate directly to the wet foam, which is stickier than any silicone.
I did that once and it all sunk in the foam 😂
I really need help from anyone. My leopard gecko is so so so so skinny. I don't know what to do. He won't eat ANYTHING. i've tried it all but he won't eat and he is so skinny it almost makes me feel sick. Please someone help I'm really panicked.
Best to see a vet, he could have a parasite.
Has anyone else tried using snake plants with created gecko? I was advised by my local shop that it would be too humid 🤷♀️
