I've seen many of these wet in wet videos over time on RUclips...I can honestly tell you that yours was one of the best ones, very informative, with a purpose, and close up enough to really grasp what is going on. You did outstanding with this. It will help many...and your bird is stunning.

After watching this, I watched video on how blooms occur, and how to create them on purpose. Blooms have been a source of frustration. Now I understand how to avoid as well as how to implement them. I think I also need to relax more, and not be in such a hurry, so I have a better eye for what is happening. I will be watching upcoming videos for further tips, as well as the joy I get from your beautiful art work.

I tend to use wet on wet a bit, but I do like to have a variation of loose areas that blend and fade into nothing. I also like glazing too! It allows me to get a lot of depth, I find this technique especially useful when doing skin tones. From time to time I will do a combination of the two and glaze with a wet in wet to get a variation in tones, I get a more interesting result. To answer your question I do not have a favorite.

Hi Louise - i am about to become a Patreon of your group as i LOVE your work and whilst in lockdown i have been watching numerous RUclips tutorials. My watercolours are due to arrive tomorrow (cant wait!!!) I do have a question, the Raven bird you have in the above tutorial looks like its on a cradle board. I do this a lot with Yupo paper and alcohol ink artwork but wondered what you adhered the waterpaper to the board with. I use Golden soft gel with the Yupo paper but not sure if i should use that for waterpaper or not. Cant wait to check out all the videos on Patreon you've done.
