This is a very informative video about the Delta. We're planning a trip up in to that area in a couple months and it's nice to gain some knowledge about really nice marinas and other local info. Thanks!
From Sacramento, Great video ! We would like a boat but right now......... Info: at 13:58, the towers between the buildings in the background are 2,200 feet high ! I have friends that climb them all night to parachute off at sunrise !! Kind of cool !
That's Fosters Bighorn Restaurant in Rio Vista where all the Heads on the wall are...There's about 300 heads....You can tie your Boat up and it's a Short Distance to Walk there...It can get rough there were you Tie up so Tie up at your own Risk.....It's a wide part of the Sacramento River where you tie up..... I'm 68 7/4/21 Now and my Dad used to take us there when we were just Kids
Nice to see all the hidden gems while traveling. Always seems a cruiser gets to be a part of the local community they visit. Looks like it was loads of fun. Thanks for sharing ~Daniel
I really loved watching your video! You visited so many of my favorite places! Love the bay and the delta, am from that area! Love the Crawdad Festival in Isleton! You guys know how to vacation!
Nice tour. Thanks. We brought our boat (Westsail 32) up to Sacramento from Berkeley and lived at a marina there for 1.5 years. Loved it. Had to motor the whole way in both directions due to headwinds. Had our first ever anchor-out in Horseshoe Bend with the current holding us broadside to a 20kt wind--that was pretty wild. Back in the SF Bay again but we're looking forward to much more Delta exploration when we retire.
+Mike LikeabikeGLAD you liked our video! After you retire, why not head south? We LOVED it!!! Make sure to go up into the Sea of Cortez. REAL CRUISING and wonderful. See our DVDs on our web page guenevere dot com.
I realized I have been once in San Francisco, Pier 39 as well. So, wonderful video with so many nice marinas. I'd love to do the same one day, but living in Brazil, my native country, is not so easy. Anyway, congrats sailors to share this enjoyable images.
wow I am so impressed with your video I never knew about the Delta that you were sailing in one of my good friends is in love with your boat that's his favorite boat in the world he's always telling me the benefits of a sailboat that will also go 65 miles an hour you have inspired me to do the same thing thank you
Hey this was a great video of your time in the Delta. I've got to find out when that Crawfish Festival is going on this year in Isleton. We're in! We sailed up there last October and had a great time as well. I'm editing some footage from our trip and hope to have it out in the next three weeks or so. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, we are in Phoenix as well, do you still have the Norsea 27. Buddy boated at times with friends in the early 90s on a Norsea 27 down thru panama and up the east coast. Headed south again late October on our tartan 34 c trailer sailer... SV_ Asherah
Ahoy Asherah, still here in the Phoenix area, and still have our Nor'Sea. And still LOVE HER! Waiting for a good window (weather, virus, & political) to head back to the Sea of Cortez. We LOVED it there! See our other vids about it.
@@svguenevere despite the " official " border closings, they are wide open, drove down to mulege and Bahia de Los Angeles many times during pandemic and never had a problem. We will trailer to rocky point late October and sail south from there.., shooting for Xmas in Zihuatenejo and return in spring to finish building new house near Mayer. Will leave next fall for panama.... Again... ( 4th time...lol )
See our WEB site. www.svguenevere.com for a lot of info. The exact trek can be watched at; ruclips.net/video/9FcG4H_dQyQ/видео.html NOTE: it's in 3D, but you can turn that off using the small gear symbol lower right.
+John Beasley We do cruise a Nor'Sea 27. VERY GOOD FOR US! We did tow it from Georgia to San Francisco WAY BACK with an old Dodge van with a V8. BUT, I would not recommend it. We now use a Dodge 250 Diesel to tow. If you subscribe to our channel you can see a LOT of our towing and information around it. We have towed From Mexico back to Arizona, then to The SF Bay area, then to and from the East Coast a couple of times....... ;-)
What a treat. The delta breeze off merger of the San Joaquin and Sacramento never lets up. Further up the river is best
Great video. Love the chain scrubber idea. I went to University in that area....so, it was a great visit.
THANKS!

When I was a young boy in the seventies my dreamboat was a North Sea 27 .
It's not to late. I know of at least 2 for sale.
Harris Ranch......You can SMELL IT BEFORE YOU SEE IT.....It's a Cattle Yard on hwy 5...
BUT the Tri-Tip is the BEST when it was from the case, never frozen! And I would gladly accept the smell to get the FRESH food.
Great way to use Nor'sea 27s!
Yep! West coast ~ Mexico ~ West coast inland ~ Gulf of Mexico ~ Florida....... etc..... ;-)
what kind of boat is it? do you need a 250 truck to pull a boat that size? got it Nor'sea

Is Phoenix your home base now?
