Lightroom - basic adjustments & colour correction.
Snapseed - Image editing (like double exposure, adding texts etc).
Pics art - image manipulation & art.
Each of them are best for what they do.
Nb: Lightroom does not reduce image quality while others do

@Tech J 37 it's lightroom. And it is much more than snapseed. But the user must be aware of the functions. Snapseed has different approach compared to lr.
@Tech J 37 yes that's why I told that snapseed is better for image editing. Lr is best for basics and colour correction. To use lr , you have to be professional but the editing process is very simple. To use snapseed you need not have to be a professional but the editing process is complex.

Update: The Android Snapseed version doesn't support Raw files. You can use lightroom or you can convert it into DNG in your Desktop/Laptop and then edit in Snapseed.

Snapseed user here. Thanks for this video! I'm a Mobile Photographer. I'll do prefer Snapseed than Lightroom. Honestly, Lightroom is also best editor/processor but It would take time for you to edit.

I personally think that if you are editing for IG, Snapseed is more than good enough... IG max resolution is between 1000 to 2000 px large edge, which will be presented in a small size device (vast majority of times over a smartphone, and sometimes a tablet for the people who still use them like me actually) there is no need at all for in depth editing.
Though for a professional job LR is the way to go, either with a mobile workflow or computer workflow. Although for computer workflow there are other apps that compete with LR, especially for Fuji and Sony shooters, like Capture One for instance. Nonetheless it all comes down to what you want to do with you photo, the money and time you have available.

Well...LUTS are for Colorgrading Videos and used in Premiere pro, Fcp. Presets are for Photos. It's not a big deal but just wanna say that. Loved all your videos and keep on making.

I use both editing apps side by side and it gives me more flexibility and range in editing my photos. they both have their own superiorities. it's like the best of both worlds.

COLOR GRADING (You forgot this Lightroom feature in video): The moment I started color grading of my photos, I quited Snapseed and opted in for LIGHTROOM. Though I am a great fan of typography and use Snapseed for this purpose. So actually I use both of these for every single photo I post on Instagram.

Thanks for the video. Snapseed has many native presets. Quite a few actually, in addition to the basic ones -- if you count: "Grainy Film" (lower the grain to zero), "Retro", "B/W", "Noir", etc. I too love the "Ambience" tool in SS! Does using these mobile apps like SS corrupt files in anyway? I usually move them back to LR for finishing touches. Cheers!

Good observation!
I save my photo raw in the sdcard, then edit convert it to tiff using raw conversion software. Then i edit the tiff file in lightroom and sometimes use filters and preset and save as jpeg. Then if i want more selective adjustments then i go to snapseed.
Dope video, Lightroom for the perfect picture if you have the time, Snapseed for beginners and on the go.

I used snapseed for getting the right details of the photo by using HDR, then after that i go to lightroom for color upgrading purposes. Does that not change the quality of the image by trasnsferring one image to another editing app?

Vignette you can grab and resize and drag the vignette around, I find Snapseed more powerful in many ways

You forgot two other options.. first is the camera app that comes with Lightroom, which is a very good camera for taking RAW pictures and for manual control.. the second things is the how light Snapseed is compared to Lightroom. Snapseed will simply work on any phone without problems, while Lightroom is very demanding.
U may add also which one is better to edit selfies.. and Snapseed wins easily.
