I’ve always used Snapseed on mobile and iPad, for someone who is not experienced with editing (I’m still learning affinity) Snapseed has been a godsend
Yeah, it's definitely very user friendly. I recommend spending a bit more time with Affinity though, as the selective editing tools are a real benefit. 😊
Thank you. I've mainly used Snapseed for my mobile editing, mainly because it's so quick and easy to use. I may have to try out Lightroom a bit more, if for nothing other than the masking features. I've used it sparingly in the past, but just found it difficult to use, although it does look like they've made quite a few changes. I don't shoot in RAW on the phone often just because I can't default to it. I'm using a Samsung and I have to change to the Pro mode each time I want to do RAW. My previous phone, an LG, was so much better in that aspect and I show RAW with everything and didn't have to think about it.
Yeah, the masking features in LR are what set it apart really. Shame about the RAW setting on your phone. You can set it to capture RAW by default on the Pixels, which is great - just takes up a lot of storage space! Thanks for watching. 😊
@@Robert-Bishop I looked again and did find a setting so that the camera app will open with the same made, rather than always defaulting to the standard camera. So, if I use the "Pro" mode, it will open in that next time, or if I'm in "Video" it will go back to that. Somewhat of a workaround, but not perfect.
I do tend to use Snapseed on my phone, not that I shoot RAW on my Motorola, it does do it, I just can't be bothered. I might have to rethink that. Great demo, the images looked great, I'd like to go for a pixel phone next but they're a bit expensive, the 6a isn't too bad but it seems to be the phone capability that they cut back on.

I always use snapseed as i find it easier, i just wish there was a version for mac. I have started to play around with lightroom to get used to that a bit more. I did download affinity for mac but to be honest i just found it so hard to get to grips with
Yeah, I think Affinity is good but maybe could be more user friendly. I haven't tried Affinity 2 yet, maybe it has improved in that respect., Also consider Luminar Neo. And also Apple Photos will edit RAW files. I have videos on my channel about both of these. Thanks for watching. 😊

The Lightroom edit, looked a whole lot better then Snapseed, but you cant beat Free
