Went on this during the early childhood of the late 1990 years when it was Thunder river and going on it many times we got absolutely drenched as the boats were quite fast and you could turn the wheels. At the end you would get drenched by the shower over your head, but that’s been long gone since they returned it it has never been switched on and you don’t get drenched these days. Could this May have been due the ride was to fast and too wet for for most people and they had to calm it down to stop accidents. I miss them days. Fun times. Still got the old photos from the early years.
Thorpe park is the best park in UK in my opinion. Sorry that's just my view, not over themed or over the top it's just a great day out with no nonsense and all about the thrill rides.

That looks decent goes at steady pace but picks up the pace in parts with rocky moments with a light splash along the way Alton Towers has got nothing on this

To be honest Rumba Rapids is the most memorable ride in Thorpe Park for me

Best ride of the lot, in fact it was one of my favourites because it is so gentle.
It's a little bit too gentle in all honesty but still fun.
Needs a a few more rapids in there

alton towers because it has better theming and even duels mine train at one point, but ive never gone on rumba rapids

Shame they closed BubbleWorks at Chessington was my first ride ever at a theme park I hate the guffalow wasn’t the same

Tidal Wave is one of our favourite rides in the UK :)
went on this virtually every time I went to Thorpe Park, and the only thing I was thinking was "this'll be quite fun to do in a kayak"

Rapids are better
Too bad the ride is that rough I would think it could be made smoother
