Emmanuel Macron, a French friend of mine on Instagram and a French colleague at my prev workplace speak rather good English, so the stereotype of French people not wanting to speak English or some other foreign language needs to go away. _Oui_ , there will be French people who can only speak French but I encountered a number of French people online who speak English well. In any case, France doesn't have the worst English proficiency in Europe, that title goes to Russia and Ukraine. Btw, I love French accents, I think they're beautiful and I could listen to French accents all day long.

I do understand your feelings about how life came into being but there is no evidence that any god made it. We cannot, at the moment understand the concept of billions of years because human mentality is not powerful enough. The evolvement of humans might never be understood but there is a possibility that powerful computers will do it. However, it is likely that humans will not understand the results. Even today, most humans are unable to decipher Einstein’s simple theories.
I am a humanist and believe in nothing until proven and god does not exist unless he is there to do nothing. There is more evidence that the devil exists but of course he was created for the simple understandings of the dark ages.

I believe the beauty of the world as a whole is evidence of God's existence. Love and affection is the foundation of God. Just the way life works I just can't believe it happened all by chance. Unfortunately, the world is too complicated for human understanding. It would be neat if we could find out in the future but I just can't see it happening. Somethings are just not meant to be understood. I wish God could give us that soild evidence but that would defeat the purpose of faith. Also, most people who wouldn't have believed in God other wise would jump on board and most would be afraid of him if he made some grand entrance. He wants us to come to him and have true faith. In regards to the past wars and continued suffering I feel strongly for the downtrodden. It pains me everyday to see them and I try to do what I can for them. But their suffering isn't from God. It is from the material world. The wars of the past were orchestrated by man and only man. I believe God stays out of these affairs because he has given us the free will to do what we please. Unfortunately, some use this freedom for wrong. In my opinion God focuses on the spiritual side of life and where we go. I believe the devil is in control of what happens in our material world. I have seen miracles and tragedies in this life and things that I will never be able to explain. Which has brought me to this ultimate conclusion. God gave his only son so that we could have a way out. Unfortunately, Jesus was hated by the world so many will still suffer in this world. But at the end of the day God is the foundation of our spiritual love for one another and in the end love will always outweigh hate. It's just a manner of thinking. I just wanted to say thank you for responding to my post. I hope whatever conclusion you draw in this life you go with confidence and happiness. God bless Rovert. You don't need to respond further. Does Macron know what PHONETICS means? I've some doubt ? I wouldn't say his english way of speaking is bad, but even if I'm a self taught man, I really think his accent is very scholar and absolutly wrong, anyway it's not unusual in France, I can't blame him most of teachers speak like him with no phonetics at all. The ZI? that ZAT ? this ZIS ? these ZIZ? those ZOZ ? and so on... It's a bit push too far but really close to reality. On the other hand I must admit, he's one of the very first French president who's able to speak the Shakespeare language. His accent 's wrong but " no one's perfect", I'm pretty sure the president has plenty of real English teachers or real bilingual people to help him to make progress, " practice makes perfect" isn't it? NO VENTURE, NO GAIN.

He does speak English remarkably well, indeed his accent seems close to British. He has the gift for gab, which passes for intelligence.
