    Demo'd this racket today. I think you hit it spot on. My issues in order of importance: 1) Really have to swing it hard and hit it right in the sweet spot to get that unique snap feeling and power/depth on the shot. 2) Lacks maneuverability. 3) A bit harsh on the arm.

    I think this racquet is perfect for me bcz I'm intermediate-advanced, I use a lot of topspin and I love the baseline and the specs of the racquet. Although it sounds cool and all I'll never switch from my Pro Staff 6.1 95 v13. I have ocd so some numbers like 95, I really like and my Pro Staff looks so clean and gives me quality control. I string my racquet at 45 lbs for good spin and power. I want to demo the Shift sometime in the future.

      The easiest to use is the Extreme Tour and in terms of precision, the Aero 98.

    Guys listen to me. Head ultimate grip and volkl cyclone 1.20mm string at 55lbs. GOD MODE. I’m beating players I have no business beating with this racquet and string set up.

    I am a spin player and I confirm. I played once with this racquet 2 days ago and I was pleased with those spins so much. Very satisfying, it felt so nice!! Then I tried Wilson Ultra and didn't like. Today I will try Wilson Blade and then I am going to buy one. At the moment ultra is out, looking forward to see what blade will offer and then am going to decide.

    Great review Luka, can you tell me where those courts are, with the mountainous background, it looks amazing!

    Looking forwards to testing it. I wonder how it compares to the new Head Gravity Pro?

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  Год назад

      We may do a comparison in the future but in summary the Shift is more spin-friendly and way less directionally controlled/precise.

    From your ramble at the beginning, I thought Djokovic must be some kind of superhuman mania too. The fact that he came back when Federer had matchpoint literally broke my soul. I was just glad to see Alcaraz finally step up and take him down. Great video though.

    Hi Luka, thanks for the review, I have a shift 99 and I do enjoy the crazy top spin but feel a little bit lack of stability. I recently tried speed pro from my friend, it feels great. I never tried a racquet with unstrung weight over 310g, I do feel it takes a bit more effort to swing the speed pro, but still feel manageable and its maneuverability is unbelievablely good. How do you compare the shift pro to speed pro? Thanks a lot.

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  Год назад

      The Shift Pro sounds like it would be perfect for you as it's very similar in swing speed and stability to the Speed, but with a lot more spin!

    • @docstranger9520
      @docstranger9520 11 месяцев назад

      I have both. The Speed Pro is more reliable but you will hit more winners with the Shift Pro in my experience. It's grinding versus aggressive play. Whichever suits your game. Personally I'm switching to the Shift 99 with some custom added weight as the Pro is just a little bit too heavy to swing consistently for three sets.

    Hey Luca! I am looking for something that will complement my flat hitting with some bonus power/spin. Would you say this might do that better than a Blade v8 16x19 that's been weighted up (leather grip and some lead tape at 3/9)? Thanks in advance! Also, just wanna say you're doing great things with the channel and please keep it up!

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  Год назад

      Thank you! I think the Blade may still be a better choice but you should demo the Shift if you can. It's a very particular racket that could definitely work for you.

    Hi Luca. Thank you for your review. I'm thinking of finally changing the rackets I have used for 15 years. I play with the K Tour 95 (used to be used by Lindsay Davenport, Alona Bondarenko, and Kei Nishikori). It is a 305 gr with a 16x20 pattern racket. It was definitely an interesting choice of racket when I first used it as a teenager considering I learnt with it. 15 years later, I'm an intermediate/advanced player with an aggressive baseliner style of play. I'm also left handed, and I feel that naturally my swing motion imprints a lot of spin on every shot. Which one do you think would be a better buy? The Shift 99 or the Shift 99 PRO? Thanks

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  Год назад

      I think a customized version of the 99 would be perfect for you. Weigh it up to whatever spec you find most solid/stable and you'll have a great combination of power, spin, stability and control.

      Shift вам не подойдёт вообще, баланс 320мм!! Играйте своей старой ракеткой- она до сих пор выпускается под другой окраской!!🤣🥎🤣

    Hi, i have a question.
    I was playing with a prestige pro, i liked that racket but i was searching for more power (bc the short balls), i play with good sping i like to feel the ball but i like to hit harder too, to open the court, this racket could be a good choice for me?
    I dont know what racket use if the shift pro or pro staff xv14

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  Год назад

      Either of those are great and I would also add the gravity pro to the list. All are more powerful than the prestige pro but still fantastic for control.

      Also the Radical pro auxetic as Head alternative or the PS v14 for precision and good power.

    What do you think the shift pro vs aero 98 2023? What do you think is best?

    • @RacketsRunnersVancouver
      @RacketsRunnersVancouver  11 месяцев назад

      I prefer the Aero 98 as I feel I get a bit more variety with it but the Shift Pro will be a little bit more solid for punchier shots.

    Do you see a difference in the pro labs first version and the new pro v1 version …. Seems like they only changed things in the 300gr version not the pro

    Hello. One question if possible. I am writing to you from Armenia. I am 33 years old. I have wanted to learn to play tennis for a long time. I found a coach for myself, and today was my 9th lesson. I was able to play with him 10 times already. I really like the videos on your RUclips channel, and I've learned a lot from watching them too. But here's my question... Could you recommend 1-2 specific tennis rackets that are suitable for a beginner but also of good quality? I can order them from the United States, so that's not a problem. I am 1.68 meters tall and not big in terms of physical build. I'm not sure if this is relevant for the advice, but there you have it. I think I need a racket that weighs around 280 grams (I don't want something super heavy for now). I would prefer a balance point around the middle or slightly towards the handle, and currently, I play with grip size 2. Also, I believe a larger head size would be beneficial to easily hit the ball. Thank you in advance.

      The Babolat Pure Drive Team is an excellent choice. You could also go for the Wilson Ultra 100L.

      Dear sir thanks for your suggestion.i watched many many videos of yours )) and wanted to ask so you say for beginner pure drive is better than pure aero? or its better for me to pick pure aero nevertheless? Also if picking rockets in 290-300 gram range .... what willson racquet or babolat racquet would you suggest for me to pick sir? thanks very much. Only please not wilson clash... i kind of hated that one :D@@RacketsRunnersVancouver
