The scenery here is just spectacular! The elephant head is so cool! And on your tee shot in #16 you can clearly see the mountains in the background are an ancient glacier. What a cool place Zac.
I can't believe we crossed paths! I was in Iceland from the 7th Aug to the 21st and I played the Westman Isle Golf course. Crazy views, crazy wind, I could not even play the last 4 holes, so distracting!!!! Iceland is amazing!!!!!!!
Just came across your RUclips channel few days ago. I live in Iceland and play Brautarholt regularity as well as Vestmannaeyjar. I 100% agree with you, just outstanding course. There is some unexplained "energy" in these mountains in Vestmannaeyjar. Thanks for great content ... brilliant play! :) All the best from Iceland ...
Been a lot of fun watching you play golf in Iceland! I'm from Iceland and have played golf for over 30 years, so I've played on every 18 hole course in Iceland, some of them over 10 times. I hope you played more courses than Brautarholt, Keilir and Vestmannaeyjar. If you didn't and will be back, then you should play: Grafarholt and Korpan (Reykjavik golf club, these are on Trackman) Kiðjaberg Suðurnes Leynir (Akranes) Borgarnes Öndverðarnes Akureyri Oddur Grindavík
TRUNDLE A favorite verb of Irish and British sportscasters. It means that the ball is rolling along the green at a fairly slow pace, driven by gravity for an extended distance. This term is reserved for long, downhill putts where the golfer barely taps the ball to begin its motion. But it's not used in cases where the ball picks up speed as it follows gravity's instructions. You only hear it in situations where the ball appears to be taking a leisurely stroll.
Lets go!! Will admit, the pin placement was pretty difficult on the 18th, but we made the other holes quiet easy, had to have at least one difficult one 🙃
Amazingly beautiful...had never thought of Iceland as a golf destination, but these videos have been lit! Would love to see you get over to Norway and play Tromso sometime!
Played the back nine in May this year. Really fun but played in huge wind with rental clubs. I actually thought the front nine looked good as well but didn't have the time to play it. And sorry but those were not puffins :)
This course is situated in a volcanic crater, the crater is estimated to have been around 2km in diameter. You can see the rim of the crater in the backdrop @ 8:57. All of the residence of the island had to be evacuated in an eruption in 1973 where several houses went under lava and the whole town was covered in ash. That eruption was on another place on the island. :)
Absolutely enjoy watching you play golf all over the world. It would be interesting to know what some of these courses around the world cost to play a round
The filming on the 17th teebox did not do the view justise there. It is just a narrow path out there and sea all around you and the elephant in the back looking at you. Simply amazing hole to play.
Zac huge fan, quick question- what is the best bang for your buck new driver? I’m using a taylormade R580 XD and I’m making the decision to upgrade (and hopefully had some yards to my carry distance) Thanks!
The elephant head is pretty cool. Just that cliff and the rock patterns in general are absolutely wild.
Beautiful scenery!!
Unreal scenery!!

Those birds are not puffins. It's a bird called "fíll" or "múkki". Although there are a lot of puffins in Vestmannaeyjar.
Serious bucket list course and trip! Such spectacular scenery and views. Well done Zac!!
Much love 👊

Definitely thankful for sure!
Beautiful place Zac love the video, me and the wife are thinking about going there.
Y’all are going to love it!

So glad you enjoyed the vid!!
It's Nat Geo and golf combined, such great content and the effort shows!
Much love 👊
Awesome vid Zac! Played there several years ago with rental clubs no rangefinder and took me a few holes to realize yardage markers were in meters 😢
Glad you enjoyed!
What a gorgeous course!
The course was incredible!
@@ZacRadford you looked so gitty and so happy out there! Thanks for sharing the course with us!
Would love to see you play Lofoten Links in Norway :D Recommend doing that in the summer under the midnight sun for most unique experience :D
That would absolutely be a bucket list place for me to get to!

BTW those puffins are incredible!

Had an incredible time teeing it up!! I enjoyed the tough pin 👊

edit: you can absolutely see the elephant in the rock! gorgeous
Much love 👊

There's two elephants there!! Great video
Glad you enjoyed 👊

Great solo videography. Love your video vibe. What’s up with the tee boxes though - they looked very sketchy…
I’d love Zac challenge other RUclipsrs cause he’s game is so good
Much love 👊
Nice, Zac. By the way, I can't say the elephant is great, but with some warm drink, I could see something pop out.
bro i went to iceland and its awesome. next time i go, i will make sure to check out the westman islands
I definitely recommend it!
unreal golf course
Amazing, Zac! What is the background music track in this Video?

Appreciate you giving some history!
Love to see it

So awesome to hear you enjoy the vids! I’ll keep that in mind for future filming to possibly incorporate that!
This course costs around $80 to play a full 18 hole round. They sometimes have offers as well.
The filming on the 17th teebox did not do the view justise there. It is just a narrow path out there and sea all around you and the elephant in the back looking at you. Simply amazing hole to play.
Definitely an amazing hole!!
I have some time off in January. I might go play it then.
The course will be closed in January due to weather, should be opened in the beginning of may again…
Definitely recommend traveling there during the summer!
i say that is a ghost in the window on the 2nd green (hole 11) lololololol
Zac huge fan, quick question- what is the best bang for your buck new driver? I’m using a taylormade R580 XD and I’m making the decision to upgrade (and hopefully had some yards to my carry distance)
Thanks!
Much love 👊 that’s a great question. Unfortunately I haven’t really tested anything lately but if anyone in the chat has some recs!
Let's freaking go 🏌️
👊
So green !! wha's the summer temps like ? :)
Temps were mid 40s to mid 50s while I was there!
@@ZacRadford - Compared to NZ hows Iceland rating ?
Unbelievably beautiful
Absolutely unreal!
WOW just WOW
Place is unreal!
I don't know if it gets any better than that brother.
Definitely thankful to get to tee it up here 👊
Guy has no idea what a puffin looks like 😁
Curious as to why you rarely release 18 holes videos?
P.S.
If ever in Vancouver Canada the round is on me
I’ve released quite a few 18 hole vids this year and will be posting more! Unfortunately in Iceland I didn’t have the option for 18 hole vids
Thank you
Much love 👊
How was the travel to get there?
Not bad at all! About a 2 hour drive to the ferry and 40 min ferry ride
No puffins on camera
there, at least not thos you were filming
What was the temp there?
I think it was roughly 55 degrees Fahrenheit that day
who the hell knew there were so many golf courses in Iceland.
Ohhh mate we are roughly 400k ppl living here in Iceland and we have 66courses and 62 clubs.
This was my home town growing up.
@@gunnia3807 that is just insane number
There are tons of great courses in Iceland!
hey Zac love the golf but birds ain't your thing. Puffins they ain't ....... keep the content coming just stay away from ornithology
Long time watcher, multiple time commenter. I hope you come back to Colorado to play Raindance National. The 2nd longest course in the world.
Can’t thank you enough for all your incredible support! Definitely would love to get there someday!
