No we're not seeing "just wax" we're seeing the blend perfectly! You're really doing a great job on this channel. As a French person Your english accent is delight for me, it's so relaxing. And your videos always carry the information I'm looking for. Thank you Claire!!
Thank you Claire for the colour blend charts. I ordered the Arteza Expert 120 set after watching your review and saved the colour blend charts for when the pencils arrive.
Thank you for this review & color combinations that you've dedicated so much time into for us. The combinations are so pretty. You are a treasure for your viewers. Your videos make me want to pick up some colored pencils & get to coloring. ❤
Thank you for such a helpful review. I ordered the 120 set and it will be arriving today. So in anticipation of receiving my new color pencils I was checking out videos and found yours. Yours has been the most helpful while not going blah blah blah. Hehe Also your color combo chart is wonderful. What an unexpected surprise. Thanks for your hard work. Keep colorful, Mary
I absolutely love my Arteza stuff. I think they're making really great quality artists materials at an affordable price and act as an introduction into colouring/drawing etc for people who can experiment without being disappointed at the poorer cheap products which are more "school" pencil levels.
Thanks for your video. I have been thinking about buying them but I think that for just 48 new colours it is to expensive. I like my 72 set but most of the time I colour with my Prismacolor pencils, so if it where 120 brand new colours the price would be nice but just 48 colours I won't do it. Its just to bat that I can not buy a set of the 48 new colours. If Arteze was putting that set on the market I would buy it. Your video helped me by making this decision.
Thanks for the review I literally received my Arteza 120 count pencils last night from Amazon... I never used this brand before my go too's are Prismacolor, Koh I Noor, and Kingsart. The barrel on this brand of pencil seemed thicker to me as well from me using Prisma I thought it was my imagination as well! Lol but after hearing you speak about it too I wasn't imagining .... I look forward to trying out Arteza 120 count
I’m waiting for everyone to restock. I had just got my 72 set two weeks ago, then found out about the 120. My husband said to get the larger set, and. Someone will get my 72 set! The greens look awesome!!,Kathy
Great review and very good swatches I got a set of 72 over a year ago and hated them ! but after watching this I am tempted to re-purchase I don’t think I gave them a fair go , I am a Prismacolor fan and was told these were better but they were not and I was disappointed that they were not ! So gave them to my grandbairns 😊
Mine shipped from Arteza yesterday. I can't wait to get them. Colour range looks fantastic. I'm curious to know how many of these will match colour wise to Polys.
Claire, I enjoyed the review of the new 120-set. I haven't ordered them yet, but plan to after my move. The combination chart is a nice treat from you, thank you! I'm grateful for all the hard work you routinely put into your channel, you do a terrific job. All the best, Lisa🕊
Just got the 120 set for Christmas and I think they are really similar to a Pablo, but lay down color a little easier and are a just a touch softer. Thank you for all the great stuff that you post!🙂👍💛
I just bought the 120 set it’s not here yet but I honestly can’t wait! I have the 150 set of prisma colors which I love! But I just can’t wait to blend the two together. I’ve seen so many good reviews on these and I’m excited for the non breaking leads 😂. Thank you for this amazing review
Nice! They look great and I like that they blend w/o having to break your hand with pressure. Have you used gel pens over them? If so how'd it go. (new to your channel, love it.)
Hi Claire, I really liked your video about the Arteza Expert 120 colors, it is very interesting that they are a bit soft but they do not break as much as the Prismacolors, in fact I bought the set of 120 colors. I would like to know if you also have the color family card as you did with the Prismacolor Premier and Polychromos. If you don't have it, could you do it? Thank you so much for all the videos you make so we can color a little better. Greetings Veronica
Thank you so much for this helpful review. I love my 72 set and hope to get the 120 soon. I agree with you, it is time they started selling them as open stock.
If you own the 72 as I do and buy the 120 you have pretty much got your open stock. Don't use mine as much as I should, but going to change that. Thanks for your wonderful review videos.
I really love Arteza supplies and i was waiting after the set of 120 colored pencils and Thank You for the great review, your colored chart are Fantastic, thank you for sharing Claire and Happy New Year, here it's not , only tomorrow LOL!
I have the 72 set. I did swatch them, but I haven't used them on a picture yet. While swatching, they seemed pretty good, but why would they make a 120 set and change the color names? It doesn't make sense to me, but.. That's just me. I always seem to go back to my Prismacolors, so I'm not sure if I'm going to get the 120 set or not. I'm going to have to do more research on them first.
I have been on the fence about these pencils. I want to purchase a budget set as all my pencil sets are the artist grade, higher quality pencils, but I have seen mixed reviews on these. I wish they would come out with open stock as well so I could just try a couple pencils to know if I like them. I had heard so many good reviews for the Blick brand colored pencils and I recently purchased a couple of them and I don't care for them. This is after watching and reading countless reviews stating they were great, so this is probably why I haven't pulled the trigger on the Arteza. I do appreciate your reviews though, they are always very well done and honest!
I just received the 120 collection this week. Although I haven't gotten to play around with them much, they seem really nice. My only complaint is that rather than receiving Fruit Punch Pink, I received two Watermelon Pinks. I had a similar issue with my set of Arteza brush markers. While they product is nice, the final quality control could use some work.
Thanks for your informative video, brilliant as usual 😘 I was lucky to get a set of the 120, they were only available on Amazon Germany for a few days. And I am absolutely in love with them. They tolerate nearly all types of paper (that I exposed them to) and are a joy to colour with. Could do with more light colours, though. Maybe we will see a 150 set somewhere in the future? 😉
My 120 set arrived yesterday I have spent a happy few hours swatching them out and yes I agree they do seem thicker than my 72 set. They are my fav pencils, I prefer them to the Prismacolors that I ordered open stock to try out and found they set my teeth on edge like chalk on a blackboard. Did you ever find out how Arteza tested the light fastness of their pencils? Thank you for your fantastic videos.
Hi, no there isn't any information on lightfastness from Arteza. I can only guess they didn't go through very rigorous testing because they would probably be much more expensive if they did xx
I've just emailed them & got this reply: Hello there Tracey, Thank you so much or reaching out! Our lightfastness rating is an in house system which applies to our line of products. We do not use the Blue Wool Rating or the ASTM rating system but our system is comparable to these systems.
Right I've emailed back & this is what Roy M from Arteza customer service has said the scales are: Very poor lightfastness less than 2 years Poor lightfastness 2-15 years Fair lightfastness 15-50 years Very good lightfastness 50-100 years Excellent lightfastness Over 100 years
Yaaaaa! I'm glad you did a video on there new pencils! I'm waiting to get a set of them after I move. Change of address all that stuff you have to do. Lol. Lori, Color My World. Has a video she's done on the light fast of a bunch of different pencils. It's been awhile since I looked at it. You can check it out on her sight. I know some of the arteza pencils were in the pencils she did. Thanks for sharing! 😉 ❤.
I was a bit sceptical about Arteza products as cheep but not throw away cheep ( as in if rubbish I could not just afford the loss ) and yet cheep enough to make me think they could not be the quality I want. Well how wrong was I !!!! I bought the 48 set as a Christmas gift to myself (don’t ask!) Well they are fab quality for the money and if I knew how fab they are and that there is a 120 set I would have gone for that ( well I may have to buy myself a birthday present next ..... still don’t ask lol!) So loved your review as has reassured me the 120 set will be worth it too !
Hi Claire thank you I love your reviews it is amazing you give us so much of your time ❤️ can you tell me if you were to choose between the artezas or the black widow/Scorpion/cobra set which one would you choose? I'm trying to decide between the two hoping you can give me your honest opinion as you have tried them both? Thank you and happy new year and looking forward to seeing all your fabulous colouring in 2020 ✨🎉❤️Tanya
I really liked the arteza, but the colors seem to fade fairly quickly, especially the red....have you had that problem with them? Btw, i always love your reviews!! :)
Joan Bell I know how hard it is to not be able to get all the goodies you see people coloring with. Just keep an eye on Arteza’s website. They give you a chance to fit things into your budget when they have they’re really good sales. 😉
As an artist my issue with this company is the drastic price increases. Last last, pencils 72 of ARTEZA Expert was going for Under $35 With PRISMACOLOR going for $100 for 150 pencils. A year later, the premium line which is a lesser quality, is at the original price point however; the ARTEZA EXPERT 120 is $120. I will stick with a more consistently priced brand, with a longer time tested reputation. This behaviour is not artist friendly. It is influencer friendly. This is why they got popular so quickly.

It's an electric one from amazon but they don't sell it anymore ;(
@@ColourwithClaire Thanks for the info!

I’m with you with you Claire, these are thicker then the previous ones 👍
Thanks for the great review. I have the 72 count of the Arteza but really want the 120 count, the added new colors are beautiful!!
I love the 72 set, so I think I need to buy these as well! Thanks for another great review.

Fantastic! Thanks for the review.
An excellent review Clair , I also have “ rainbowitis” must colour coordinate everything
I wonder if some colors are naturally lightfast?
Thank you so much! 💕
Hi Claire did you ever find out what lightfast scale they are using? Thank You
No, can't find any information on it xx
@@ColourwithClaire Thanks one to watch I think :)

Have you got a colour family chart for these?
Hoping to do it this week x
I would like to see how they compare to Prismas. I am buying one or the other as a Xmas gift from my hubby.
They're not as soft as Prismas. Depends if you want them buttery soft or a bit harder x
The real acid test beside lightfast ness, is if Arteza sells single units. Which they do on their website.
I was a bit sceptical about Arteza products as cheep but not throw away cheep ( as in if rubbish I could not just afford the loss ) and yet cheep enough to make me think they could not be the quality I want. Well how wrong was I !!!!

So loved your review as has reassured me the 120 set will be worth it too !
Claire, have you got a combination chart for the 72 set as well?
Yes ti's the same download, the first page is the 72 set only
@@ColourwithClaire oh, great, thank you so much!!!! I just got the 72 set for Christmas.
Arteza, Marco Renoir or Deli are better?
It’s really a matter of personal preference x
@@ColourwithClaire Ok, Thank you!
Would you say these Arteza pencils are softer or harder than the Black Widows?
Slightly softer
I was going to buy a second set but I will have to go with Amazon

Would these be a viable alternative for the caran d ache pablos? As the Pablo are watertight expensive!
These are a lot softer than Pablos imo. If you want a hard pencil I would recommend Derwent Artists.
AArteza won’t deal directly with Australia, most unfair 😩😩😩
It sure is frustrating ( I'm in Sydney)

The light fastness goes from 1 to 5
Just a shame you can’t get open stock 🤨
Just ordered, 48$
Arteza do not ship to Australia!!! 🤬
Xx❤️
Actually, the Ivory colour in the 72 set is now the Jasmine one in the 120 set (same number, 075) not the Cream, which is a new colour.
Oops, I knew it was one of those!
