I have noticed that people who are raised in the faith have a higher risk leaving the faith more then some who wasn't raised in the faith that found Jesus and god in authentic way and I know this from personal direct experience

They are leaving, because they never have had experienced the intimacy with the Holy Spirit!

The more a person sticks to his religion, the worst his life becomes because they have been brought up in the human tradition and blinded into the knowledge of the truth found only in the holy 📙

yes in the absolute truth which is inspired by God and written as His Word. A person must be born again.

I agree, but we must distinguish between Cultural Christianity and Christian Culture. Religion without culture is dead.

What’s wrong with that? Cultural Christianity is better than being religious

This is an interesting point. If people look like you, talk like you, act like you, and you feel comfortable being in that situation…your culture is more important than your faith. This is why you have white churches, black churches, mennonites, Amish, orthodox Christians, Korean churches, Catholics (different varieties), all different types of Protestant denominations, new age Christians on and on and on…it’s never ending. People naturally feel comfortable being with their own kind. Edit: this happens in other religions as well. People naturally gravitate towards their own kind of people. Even if you have interdenominational, mixed churches, there is sub-groups and cliques within that setting. It’s like you can never escape it. There is an element of hypocrisy in this video as well because it seems they also group themselves to a particular variety. Guilty party here.

I would suggest to address the issue of “Cultural Christianity” by considering the following: born of water and SPIRIT”, (Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit:) for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Preservation of the saints takes away the very essence of obedience and denying ourselves to follow Jesus not because it comes out naturally because we are already saved but because we are fully aware that we can actually continue to sin but by doing that, we will be punished and we'll grieve the Holy Spirit and it hurts our first love, and so we obey and do good works for His glory alone. So it was our own willingness and because of our understanding of God's character, not because we got saved and that's it, that we don't have to do some effort to actually continue to obey GOD.

    Romans 8:9
    King James Version
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Well if you believe in equity, social justice, pacifism then you're also a cultural Christian. Lot of liberal values are basically just post-Christianity. So what now, is it also dangerous? Or you're just going to pick and choose what you consider Christianity and call it dangerous? You might call yourself a liberal critic of Christianity yet your metaphysics is very christian.

Cultural Christianity and Christian Culture are two things BTW. Both our faith and our culture are supposed to be Christian, you cannot seperate the one from the other.

Until 'Christians" rebuke the Catholic Church, I am on the side of God not 'church'.

The gates of Hell will not prevail against the true church. What we have today are fans of Jesus and not FOLLOWERS. Are you a part of the remnant church?

It has to be Cultural Christianity. You cannot continue to sin and call yourself followers of Christ.

    • @michaelalbertjr.3230

Absolutely. There's nothing worse than a form of "Christianity" that rejects the tough side of God (Matthew 23).

I teach pre teen kids Bible lessons at a couple of local schools.
This has been good food for thought. I've been prompted to pray about some.. stuff.
Sad to hear about Rhett and Link.
They have made some videos for children's ministry that made us laugh and learn bits of the Bible.
