  • How to add a wired Beech Lane fan to a Dometic absorption refrigerator.
Our Dometic refrigerator was icing up and the temperature was uneven. By adding a Beech Lane fan to the cooling fins, we eliminated both the icing and water problems common with these type of refrigerators.

Great video! I just got a 2017 International 30 and went with the small battery powered cube from the same brand, but not in love with the low fan output. Ill be ordering this model now that I've seen how rasy it is to connect the power. Loved how clear and informative the video was about the installation.

We are really impressed with this fan. The fridge seems much cooler. Thanks for watching and your kind words.

Interesting. We've not had that problem but our 4 cu. ft. fridge is of a different design. I especially appreciate your focus on safety. Checking the voltage at the terminal after pulling the fuse (which, however, we recommend should be done with non-conductive pullers) is a varsity move...

Yeah, we were surprised by the ice on those fins. The fan is working really well. I did use my electrician pliers with insulated grips to pull the fuse. The most sketchy part of this was holding the plastic grommet with my fingers while drilling a larger hole! I still have 10 fingers! 😆 Thanks for watching. - Jim

Wow you did a great job filming this and walking people along on how to do it. I would put this right up with many of the super big. channels. We dont have any fridges like this anymore but we remember when we did and had the same issue so this would have been very helpful. We still like to watch and support and we pick up tips on filming, editing and angles we get good ideas and honestly impressive job! Oh by the way we love Primal Kitchen and we get the big one at Costco we get double almost triple the amount for the same price for a small bottle somewhere else. LOL! Well done they always say watch your videos is it informative is it entertaining and those are the two big things you have to ask. Nice work!!

Thanks so much, Paul. Did I tell you about when our daughter was little, I caught her intentionally breaking something. I said, “Emily, why did you do that?!?” She looked at me with her big eyes and said, “It’s OK dad, you’re a great fixer.” 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
