We went to a community wide sale as they celebrated a festival about 1/2 hour from our place. A small community but we had fun over 3 days as new sales continued to open. We also included two estate sales along the way. A Fontanini Heirloom collection Nativity 6-pc lighted stable set in the original box for $8 and a Magnalite 4.5 quart roasting oven pan with lid for $3 already had watchers almost immediately after listing. I still have much to process, photograph, and list but have about 20 items up. We also found several items for our own use. A great way to slowly close down the yard/garage shopping season in Michigan.

The miniature pottery is nice and I liked the condiment/jam jars too.
The little condiment jars are actually a little mustard jars. The plastic spoons that came with them or stained from the mustard. Thank you, Terrie!

It always amazes me how well everyone cuts their grass. You drive up and the yards are immaculate.

Love the mermaids/mermen. Also nice score on the Chinese pieces. I picked up an antique Chinese tea bowl with saucer because it was interesting and had no markings - sold for $100. I had no idea.

Mark did all the research on the Chinese pottery. He did a great job with the research and his photography. I picked them out, but he did all the legwork. We haven’t gone to many garage sales this year. We focused more on church rummage sales. Like what you said, the garage sales haven’t been very good. They are far in between, distance wise, and most of the people are resellers getting rid of the stuff that didn’t sell on ebay. thank you, Tammy!

Hi Lynne, our power is out and has been since Friday morning. It’s supposed to be out until Wednesday evening. We do have a generator for our fridge and freezer so that’s good. And water, so that’s good. So I guess you could say we’re camping without the glam.
I actually did work on a video today from when we were out on Friday going to church rummage sales. It’s the first time I’ve ever trued to edit a video on my iPad so it’s a new experience. I’m not sure now, if I can get it uploaded properly, but going to try. I figured I might as well challenge myself while I had the time. All our stores are on vacation.

Yes, we are OK. Thank you for asking. Our power has been out since Friday before noon and will not be restored until Wednesday evening. We have a generator for our main freezer and one fridge. Our stores are on time away.
No flooding has directly affected us but as you no doubt heard, hurricane Helene has been extremely damaging to so many people and places not far from us.
In Kingsport, it’s been power outages for us and surrounding communities. Thank you so much for reaching out and checking on us. Stay safe and thank you again.
