When you let styling and design have freedom to create, you get an outstanding pickup like the Cameo! I really appreciate restorations to original efforts. Thank you for sharing this gem.
Absolutely fabulous and certainly a very meticulous restoration. Dad had one similar color. He said it was indian turquoise color. Same engine too. He would NOT let anyone drive it but him and older brother's who remember when he bought it new. Gorgeous truck worth every dollar you're asking for it if it looks just as good underneath as it does up above.
This really is one of the nicest trucks that I've seen. It's as clean underneath as it is on top.

What a beautiful truck! Jeff I recall something about that model having a fiberglass rear tailgate and the rear pick up bed also fiberglass. Great video,
You have to hand it to the Guys that restore vehicles like this back to such a high standard, I mean this truck looks absolutely stunning from every angle, absolutely beautiful.
Such a Beauty, always loved these trucks, I think this was the same truck in The Clint Eastwood movie Every Which way but Loose, or maybe it was a 55 I forget...
Nice restoration on the 57 Cameo pickup and well worth the $49,995 price tug, with a $80,000 build sheet. If I had $50,000 laying around it would be my daily driver !! lol.
Nothing like cruising around with a fuel tank as a back rest. LoL I'd take one just the same. That is a prime restoration, looks pretty damn sweet! I sure wish I was sitting on a few hundred thousand dollar crazy money piggy bank, I'd be giving you very little to video around that place!!
@@snecorp Wow. Good for you. The last 10 cars I restored before I retired exceeded $100,000. Not sure the customers would have paid for a consultant, too. I figure they were counting on me to make it as accurate as possible. I couldn't deal with the physical demands any more after 36 years of restoration. I'd love to be able to consult. I work on my own stuff now but focus on practicing law now. Good luck.
Sometimes it takes belonging to a certain era for a paint color to be acceptable. I'd be terrified to ever haul anything in the bed (although the replaceable wooden floor makes sense and never should have been lost as a design feature, in my opinion). Jeff, if you ever come across any Town & Countries and Suburbans from the 40's, or any of the iconic Woodies, could you get us some footage?
Very nice truck! Only wish that they retained the original 265 V-8 motor. That is if it came with a 265. It may have been a 6cyl 235? The 283 motor wasn't available on the light trucks untill 1958.
You weren't lying. They spared no expense restoring this truck. Chevy has always made pretty trucks.
This is really one of the nicest trucks I've seen. If I hit the lottery tomorrow I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Looks correct, but the engine should be a 265. The 283 was reserved for trucks larger than 1 ton. Otherwise, super awesome restoration.
You are correct, the bedsides and the tailgate have an outer layer of fiberglass. Thanks for taking a look!
very nice thank you for the vid

I'll definitely film any nice Suburbans, T&C's, or woodies that I come across. Thanks for watching!
That's definitely a show stopper.
I restored this truck when I had my shop. I do restoration consulting now.
What does restoration consulting consist of?
@@bigblocklawyer Making sure a restoration is done correctly and authentically
@@snecorp do you work with the shop as they complete the work?
@@bigblocklawyer Yes, and sometimes do some of the work.

It really is about as nice as they come. Thanks for watching!
The 283 V8 was available as a special order option in 1957 and then as a regular option starting in 1958....according to Hemmings Motor News anyway.
No, I don't work there, they're just nice enough to let me film.
hello , did you still have this beautiful ruck for sale ??
No, I'm afraid this one is long gone. Thanks for taking a look though!
