  • There were several moments like these over the years, including one that was actually pretty bad, but I'm not able to remember what game it was.

Gymnast doesn’t know anything about football. He’s an armchair quarterback.

Lmao thought this was clickbait but Phil was easily offended and Nantes had no patience for him. Nantz might as well be a different human being talking to Romo

The really bad one was when they were talking about the wind and Jim got up and left and pretty much implied that Phil farted on him! ruclips.net/video/mUCh00WHRqY/видео.html

There's literally not a single time I can remember that Phil Simms has made a memorable call that added to a game. And I heard him for decades because CBS put him on Patriots games all the time. Nantz is a good play-by-play guy but Simms is singular justification for the mute button.

Well he’s not the play by play guy. Idk about you but almost all my memorable calls come from the play by play guy, not the colored analyst

I'd argue that one--Madden has a ton of moments that were really memorable (not least when he becomes a Brady fan on the final drive of that first Super Bowl). Color commentary can be really memorable too.@@benpietrzykowski9216

@@mariosnum1fan I figured. But just when he said phill sims has “never had a memorable call” that’s not really his job. The play by play does the in the moment iconic “bang!!” Calls or whatever it is, then the color commentator (which is phill sims) gives his take when it’s settled down.
That’s at least what I remember from the most memorable sport calls

@@benpietrzykowski9216 yeah, play by play gives the calls on each play. Whereas color brings the “color” or the insights to the game. There’s a reason pretty much every one of them has some experience in the league, either as a player or a coach

Nantz has no place calling football games; he should be limited to golf
