Read the story & decide for yourself. I think most people wouldn’t have taken so long to come to the decision that gypsy rose made.
Criminal insanity refers to a mental illness or disease that makes it impossible for a defendant to know they were committing a crime or to understand that their actions are wrong. The fact that she fled after the crime proves that she knew what she did was wrong. That's being said, I wouldn't have convicted her if I was on the jury. A juror can find someone not guilty for any reason they want.

I don't expect from someone who had teeth and body parts removed drugged went through chemotherapy gaslighted used deprived from freedom to take reasonable decisions. I was mistreated by my parents on a way less horrendous level and it fuck3d me up mentally i went through severe depression for years. I honestly dont blame her at all and anyone blaming her is just being pretentious.
I used to think a kid on a leash was bad until my niece was born and I had my own kids. My niece could be in her stroller and we would look over and she was GONE. Twice in one day. Thank God we were able to find her both times but it was so fast. So yes a leash might sound dehumanizing or something but if you have a runner you need one 😂 I don’t judge a single person for using them.

Here’s my thing, don’t come for me, but she was 23 freakin years old. Her ma was sick and mentally a mess. Gypsy knew she could walk and knew her mama was fleecing ppl for free houses and money and played along. Now as a child, I get it ma probably told her, we will loose everything blah, blah so I respect that part. But at 23 all she had to do was leave. Tell someone. She didn’t tell no one, not even her Dad or anyone. Having that mentally challenged dude gut her mom was wrong. Bro, she pranced around naked and cleaned up the mess after he killed her, they fucked in the house. Like come on. I’m cool with her getting out, but it’s WRONG that he got LIFE. No chance of parole. It’s a mess. I would pardon that dude personally. After 12 years. That’s what he should do.
What's worse is Gypsy did runn away a couple of times but she purposefully would leave easy to find clues about where she was going. She wanted to be found so her Male Savior would fight for her but they never did, or she would chose to go back to her moms place because the guy she ran with didnt have a house or his own place. She was manipulating people just like her mom. She will offend again almost for sure.
She should be around really positive people, maybe even opportunities to serve the community and get into those spaces, perhaps help her have a business and write a good for income. She never got to have a normal life and she just needs good people around her who aren’t trying to clout chase off of her story. And needs peace. I’d dare to say a really good church.
