Hey friends! Thank you all so much for all the kind words and comments about my run; got a lot of people telling me this is their favorite run of the event which like, wow??? I dunno about THAT but it makes me real happy! Love you all, friends. And stay awful!
She's in the Keizaron tier of engaging runners. I don't know how you play a game that bad and just kill the entire time. Plus the couch was a great compliment.
This games feels oddly creepy. Dyna Man looks horrifying honestly, like a defective robot. The large levels and lack of music doesn't help either. Also look at Dyna Man's eyes. They stare into your soul. Also why's Megaman so FAT
3:17 actually, CGA does not only support white, black, magenta and cyan. Depending on the BIOS settings you have more "4 color"-pallettes to choose from (an alternative palette would be black, green, red, brown), it just happens that the stereotypical black,white,magenta,cyan-palette offers the most contrast and most color differentiation (cyan and pink are more distinguishible from eachother than brown and red, or brown and green) so that's why most developers chose that one.
it depends if you view "PC" as only x86 systems, or computers in general... because there were much better computer standards at that time and even sooner, such as Amiga and Atari ST. These machines were made in the 80's and would not be surpassed (in 2D performance) until GameCube/PS2/Xbox. The PS1 and N64 of course had 3D GPU's but in 2D sprite/tile mode they could not outperform the Amiga. The x86 wintel platform was far behind Amiga as well until Windows 95.
@@salvatronprime9882 not really. I don't see why you can't brute force with software rendering. Where did you find that Amiga was that far ahead. At best its snes + genesis combined but even genesis has features that the Amiga lacked.
What's sad about this run is that this color scheme of CGA shows that the folks running it *don't understand how CGA graphics worked* Set up properly, this game looks surprisingly good.
my mom bought me this game when I was a kid because she couldn't afford to buy me an NES at the time and I remember being so excited to get home to play it and immediately having my heart torn out and feeling betrayed because it was clearly not a MegaMan game.
@3:20 I tried so hard to get the E-tank in sonic man's stage, trying to make pixel perfect jumps, looking for secret passageways (I had already found the secret path to the room with the 1up), and you're telling me there was a fucking invisible ladder?! Bullshit, I tell you. Bullshit.
I love that you have to beat a stage just to get to the robot master select screen. This is a great run to watch if you come right off of the AVGN episode.
I think we can all agree that Awful Block is the only block in GDQ that has speedrunners who can entertain a crowd with their unironic obsessions with bad video games.
I had MM3 DOS as a kid, and I hate myself so much for losing the disk somewhere along the way. The only things I remember about it are Shark Man's stage and... guys? Robots? Ghosts? Things running around in bio hazard suits spraying acid at everything. Oh! And Inti Creates totally stole Blade Man from MM3 DOS.

Hey, I really appreciated that Kid Pix joke!
You're a brave soul to play such trash, but it's for a worthy cause!
😘
Lizstar it was really fun to watch
A cute girl makes awful games better. I like your hair, sister.
Here's hoping next GDQ they play the sequel, Mega Man Tres.
Boo that man!
I hate you so much right now
The next Megaman game for DOS actually is Megaman 3.
This works on so many different levels.
The multilayered joke.
"that's weird my parents loved me."
Nothing will ever beat "shoutout to shoutouts"
This is the Mexican bootleg of Mega Man 2, hence Mega Man Dos. That's why the sequel is Mega Man 3.
I had this game as a kid and had half convinced myself that it didn't exist.
Your brain knew that it was best for you to forget this ever existed
oh, me too. Later on I was not only surprised to learn that it was real, but that it wasn't an incredibly shady bootleg :)
This game is surprisingly well made for a single person project. Doesn't save it from being a monstrosity of a game, but you have to admire such work.
Runner introduction starts at 0:12.
Run starts at 2:21.
Couch commentary is provided by Protomagicalgirl, Johncarls, and Authorblues
LLK is the host.
Awesome that they licensed 4'33" for this game
r3inventing ahh yes, only a cultured musical buff would understand this one.
It was me, I was the target audience for the kidpix joke.
Me: "What's Kidpix?"
/Looks it up/
/Suppressed childhood memories rise to the surface/
"Oh I'm sorry
This isn't the game you wanted
You wanted THIS:"
Ohhh we got a jokester here XD
“we got a calculator!” *crowd cheers*
Props for sacrificing your eyes to speedrun this game.
They should have used the VGA setting. Much nicer on the eyes.
I find it ironic that Sonicman is a water robot.
Maybe he’s a submarine? that’ll mean he’s using stuff like sonar
Edit: crap.... he was a diver
Whether air or water as a transmission medium is almost irrelevant.
It should have been Sonarman.
EXACTLY
Why? Sound travels through water pretty fast.

That little toll stop at the beginning had me cracking up
OK, I guess you can come in and wreck the place. But stay between the ropes!
you can change cga to warm color mode which is black, red, yellow, green and much easier on the eyes.
Nah, the cyan and magenta fits megaman dos quality
That would be one hell of a color scheme fir a megaman game
Who would want to do that though
This games feels oddly creepy. Dyna Man looks horrifying honestly, like a defective robot. The large levels and lack of music doesn't help either. Also look at Dyna Man's eyes. They stare into your soul. Also why's Megaman so FAT
Well, he's more specifically FAT16.
ive never even heard of this game or this runner before but god bless her for learning to speedrun a game like this sfsdfsd
Body.... by Gregory the Dog. A new fragrance brought to you by Wiley
Jonathan Slosser By Will-Ey
I honestly didn't expect to hear Kid Pix mentioned in a run.

and with some tricks you could get up to 1024 colours but you would tax the cpu way to hard.
PC may be the master race now, but oh lawdy were the growing pains bad.

@@eendikschaap7547 You also have the stunning win10 UI.

Set up properly, this game looks surprisingly good.
I got this back in the day on my IBM 386/DX PC. Needless to say, disappointment was my best friend that day.
I played this on my 486DX3 66MHz and I had to speed it down from BIOS or turbo button to play :D
We got a calculator! WOO! 😂
Once they do the thumbnails for RUclips I really hope they pick the calculator
my mom bought me this game when I was a kid because she couldn't afford to buy me an NES at the time and I remember being so excited to get home to play it and immediately having my heart torn out and feeling betrayed because it was clearly not a MegaMan game.
I loved the Kid Pix reference! I had that computer program when I was young and I loved it. :D
The real speedrun is getting this game to run.
@3:20 I tried so hard to get the E-tank in sonic man's stage, trying to make pixel perfect jumps, looking for secret passageways (I had already found the secret path to the room with the 1up), and you're telling me there was a fucking invisible ladder?! Bullshit, I tell you. Bullshit.
This is great. Thanks for having this on the card this year. Moar DOS games next time!
this game really makes me want to PRESS *FIRE*
Some of those cyan backgrounds legit hurt my eyeballs.
"...I think MegaMan got the wrong address."
This was the first MegaMan game I ever played.
This run was very entertaining. Great commentary and the streamer was funny and informative too!

Wow you guys are getting pretty brave here on youtube :)
Esatzu I’m sure controversial things are reported, but other than that, compliment them!
We've come a long way since 2017, huh?
Not blocked yet.
Ahhhhhh, we meet again, Mega Man for DOS...the game that made me cry as a child and had me swear off PC gaming as a whole.
I love that you have to beat a stage just to get to the robot master select screen. This is a great run to watch if you come right off of the AVGN episode.
Ok, this runner, is a person I wanna hang out with.
This is unironically the best Mega Man game
Caleb Lim no
The fact that someone out there may be feeling like this is scary. Please tell me you're joking.
This was hilarious and entertaining!
after seeing AVGN cover this game, I'm glad to see it in all its.... full MS-DOS glory?
8:06 is the best part of the run
Actually playing this game at the speed it was intended? What madness is this!
I can’t see this game without thinking of AVGN now.
Mega Man! On DOS!!
if you increase the speed in dosbox while in cga this games runs insanely fast
"Never tell them how the sausage is made"
Lizstar got a splendid personality that made this a blast to watch!
It's nice to see someone who is such an entertainer. Really got the crowd to stay involved.
I had no idea this existed. That was amazing!. :D
this.......this was my first mega man game...……..
hey this isn't megaman 2
I love this run but man, it was a mistake to look at this game while having a headache.
I think we can all agree that Awful Block is the only block in GDQ that has speedrunners who can entertain a crowd with their unironic obsessions with bad video games.
I LOVE AGDQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw, 3:07 is this level inspire the low-g stage from mechanos in donkey kong 3?
Hahaha xD the commentary is great!
Imagine running a game, and everyone behind you is talking. Loudly. All throughout your run.
This game is an assault on all senses.
Isn't CGA optimized for composite video? So due to signal interference more colours can be displayed?
3:21 invisible ladder??? mind blown after all these years!!!
3:21 that was a glitch, right?
9:29 I never knew those _healed_ you!
kicking 2019 off greatly
Megaman visits Prypiat.
This runner is so charismatic, I love it.
Also shoutout to floor parrots?
I used to play the shit out of this on a Tandy 1000 in CGA mode on a monochrome green crt in my early teens.
Love, mega man. The game looks terrible. You've made it awesome and entertaining!
Oh god my eyes
Wiley is Showers!!!
Mega Man.... DOS? I did not know they made a DOS game. This can only go well....
Kid Pix was on all my elementary school computers. Good times!
When your kid starts complaining about their phone or console games.... play this video.
AWESOME!!😊😉
Mega Hombre Dos
Of course the sequel is Megaman 3, this is Megaman DOS afterall
the kidpix comment was for me :D Stll love the dynamite and the undo's "Oh no!"
Thanks Capcom

Did dynaman poop on the floor as an attack?
WOW, ITS A *MET!*
That Kidpixs joke hit struck me dead on
4:20 I indeed enjoyed that
N O I C E.
It's Mega Man!. . .As brought to us by his non-union, Mexican equivalent, Senior Inafuneo.
Wow, this was one of the best mega man runs, at least the funniest one. Lizstar is the best.
how beautiful, the color palate is the trans-rights flag.
I can't decide if this wholesome or disgusting. That color palette is just killing me, but it looks so aweful fully in spirit of the block.
CGA looks good con tv
*M E G A M A N O N D O S !* - AVGN 2015
This has no music LOL
I have an original disk for this game floating around in storage, somewhere.
oh my i didn;t even know this game exist,it's like a kid draw this game.So fun
I was able to handle how ugly this game is, but oh god the blue bars at 11:45 classify as a war crime
This was mighty no. 9 before mighty no. 9
This one if physically hard to watch with how shaky the background is. Really gives some nasty motion sickness
Wait, is this the last game of Mega Man Block, or the first game of Awful Block?
Why is this on *Awesome* games done quick?
This game was just played at megamanathon like this.
Holy shit, this game hurts my eyes.
Heck, I want a magaman calculator.
