Clay can crack if the water is absorbed too quickly.. for example it can happen if it is touching cardboard or some other material that absorbs water, so its best to wrap cardboard in clingfilm or tape first in this case. You can fix your cracks by filling them with wet clay, wait till it dries, and then sanding them down. Let me know how it goes.. im sure it will be even better than mine!

What kind of clay do u use, I used an air dry and it let it dry.... it was completely cracked
