They are great some someone wants some added protection but also not bouncing off rocks every time they go wheeling. If that is something that you are looking to do then go with a guard that mounts to the body and frame! Thanks for watching!
I just ordered these for my TJ. We'll see how they do. I wanted something close to the body of the jeep and didn't want to drill or weld. These looked perfect. They will be replacing the basic "Rugged Ridge" nerf bar steps that are currently on the jeep. Great video.
I purchased this exact model sliders almost two years ago and after having them shortened to match my custom fenders they look great. Definitely recommend if you need basic protection and are trying to install them yourself.
Hey buddy - what's the under door "kick plates" that you have on your jeep. Most notably seen around 2:50. They're black and have a patterned embossed plate shape to them. Rocker guards search with google gets me close. But I like what you have on yours. PS - 2006 TJ (LJ) Unlimited.
Hey man, I wish I knew! They came on the Jeep and I have never seen another one like them. I’ve had others ask so I have looked around and never been able to find anything similar. Sorry I couldn’t have been more help!
I really appreciate you saying that Bruce! A lot more to come! Here’s the link to my bumper! Most of my other mods are all linked in the description! www.amazon.com/dp/B074MJWFJP/?tag=montanaoffr0c-20 Thanks for watching!
Adam, Like what you are doing with the TJ. When you blasted with penitrating oil, did you go through the holes in the body near the mounts and shoot in the direction of the bolts? Great Vids!
Thank you sir! Yes I did that as well as saturated the spot where the body mount meets the bushing. Not sure if it helped but I gave it a try anyway. I appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching!
I tried installing these today and currently I'm in a jam. I soaked all of the body mount bolts in pb blaster overnight. The front bolts came undone by hand but the middle and rear mounts on both sides wouldn't even budge, even with a 3' breaker bar. So I quit while I was ahead so I didn't start breaking stuff. I'm open to ideas.
they are not quite wide enough for good side steps.....too narrow from the vehicle....they need another couple inches in width for a good footing to step up...otherwise its just your toes or your foot at an angle.

What are those mounting bolts required to be torqued to please?

You know, that’s not a bad idea! Thanks!

🙁 did you manage to get those bolts? I’m sorry to hear it. Did you live in the rust belts?
@@Montanaoffroad1 No, I'm in WA state.
@@Montanaoffroad1- I went to a shop and they were able to get them undone with air tools. So I'm good to go. :)
Great to hear! Enjoy 🙂
looks sweet!
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
Keep up the hard work, good content
Appreciate that man! Thanks for watching!
Looks good, you're a lucky one, almost all TJ owners would've experienced some issues with those body bolts.
Thanks! It helps living in the Midwest where rusting isn’t as much of an issue. Thanks for watching!
My favorite mod yet 😄
I thought it might be!
Hello where I can buy your rock sliders?
Hey Alexandre, if it’s a TJ model then here is the link 👍 www.amazon.com/dp/B000NP1PPG/?tag=montanaoffr0c-20
