Excellent job with highlighting the sound cues and slowed down footage. I really appreciate the hard work. Honestly, though, your positive attitude was probably the biggest help. I was very close to giving up entirely but when I found your guide and you lead with "this is a really fun boss" it really turned me around. Took about 10 more attempts after coming at again with the new positive outlook and a clear understanding of what I needed to do for me to get the kill.
@@crrainger oh god, I wish that were true. This one took my sorry ass 12 hours! Any suggestions for next guide though? Might have to do cube boss with the number of "oBjeCtiVeLy bAd gAMe dEsiGN" posts on reddit, lol
First phase is pretty easy. But the teleporting back and forth is insane. Also im not sure how i am going to have enough ammo. I know he drops a bunch but its hard to pick up while keeping track of everything going on around you.
His phase 2 weren't easy. Mainly because of the disorientation and visual disturbances going on. There are bosses on Yaisha that were a lot harder though. Mainly because of lack of any audio cues.
I saw this video 2 days ago, the first portion, and said fuck this I’ll never beat it. Played vs the boss again just now and eased by the first phase because of the tips this video gave. I’m back now to see the tips for the next 2 phases. Trust me if you watch this guys video you’ll do much better in the boss fight
Also if you have nightfall and hunter archetype use the perk that highlights enemies and nightfalls mod as soon as the fight starts and shoot at it’s head, you’ll have its health down to its last 3rd before the fight even begins
Just saw this guide and very nice and well put together guide. I was at the boss last night and kept getting destroyed on the 2nd phase. Where was this guide when I needed it lol. Would you be able to carry me? Lol
Hey, do you plan on uploading some soundtracks from Remnant 2? I haven't seen any channel upload the entire OST, just some boss themes which is a shame. Great guide btw
Unfortunately not. While I did for the first game, the method I used to access the game's audio files doesn't work for this one, and I lack the expertise to really do anything more. With that said, the composer himself, Rob Westwood, has been uploading some Remnant 2 tracks already, including a bunch of Ward 13 Ambience. I expect more to come.
I and my friend were totally rekt by this final boss for almost 2 hours. Even after we noticed its patterns and cues we (mostly I) couldn't dodge properly. Survivor difficulty btw. Oh and I used plasma cutter. Permanent game breaking bug ftw. Anyways I solved the problem and we decided to do my friend's campaign for a breather before getting back to final boss... And we defeated it without healing in the first try today... Guess playing on higher difficulty does help with skill issues lol
Great video! Kinda annoyed realizing you were recommending the exact two weapons ive been using on my first attempts - but for some reason, my UI is showing me that the widowmaker has a higher RPS than what the Huntmaster rifle has - which of course makes no sense! (2.8 vs 1.5 ?! and not the other way around?!) ; so while I had my doubts, I actually downgraded the huntmaster and put everything into the widowmaker; which of course has a much lower RPS no matter how you look at it. This confuses me more than the bossfight does and I want my fully upgraded huntmaster back ^^
RPS doesn't account for reloads, it's just a measure of the interval between shots. This is a bit pointless when applied to single-shot weapons like the Widowmaker, but the stat is still somewhat relevant because it will affect your fire rate when using the Bandit mutator. RPS also affects the auto-reload delay after firing, though this can be made irrelevant by tapping your reload button.
I'm me to this type of game,I have how've made it to annilhation but I cannot fit the life of me defeat him. Is co-op available for this boss fight and when I join a match online even through headphones I cannot hear people is this normal
Great guide!! I do have to partially disagree with you on one thing. While I really like phase one - it’s a great “flying dragon” fight - phase 2 is a mountain of bullshit. Very poor design in my opinion. It might be fine if you’re a pro souls player, but for me - someone who’s casual but plays most soulslikes - it feels unfair. Hopefully your great guide gets me through 🤞🤞
This boss shouldn't be truly one-shotting you. I join up with randoms on Nightmare difficulty, and even with the +30% damage modifier on 3 man co-op right now, there's not a single attack taking off my entire HP bar. Granted, that's with 155 HP at 57% DR... but I'm guessing the boss isn't dealing as much damage in your circumstance. Even so, his heaviest hitting attacks aren't the soundcue dependent ones, and those that use sound cues are still dodgeable without them. It's just harder.
I’m imaging in east why is this so hard .. seriously I just wanna finish the campaign and try a harder keveel but I don’t even think I need to I had fun up to this point ! The attacks are ridiculous!! And guns honestly reload too slow in a game where you’re constantly getting attack ! I love the game but some parts are freaking stupid … we have an hard mode ! East feels nuts right now and I have a full team
You take way more damage with a full team. Also there is no easy in remnant 2 there is only normal which is hard in most games. Shoot the orbs, use your secondary and switch your main weapon if you dislike it. I had quiet an easy time with the crescent bow as hunter/Slinger. The reload and draw time is quite fast with archers crest, overload and bullet storm and you can kill him with a couple of shots even in apocalypse
@@jjooee5845 dude my frame rate was so bad in the last fight I had to go purely on sound (I usually go off visuals because I listen to music while playing)
Ahhh annihilation. Coolest boss in game, coolest boss I've ever fought...and honestly he was the easiest boss I fought in the entire game. Moves are easy to dodge, very predictable and slow. All my friends rant and rave he's so hard, I've personally never actually died to him....the minecraft cube boss was literally tougher for me than annihilation
This is easily one of the best final boss guides out there that i have found. Kudos mate

It's such a shame that this boss gets so much hate! I'm glad to hear your attitude was able to take a turn, and congrats on finishing the boss!
Best guide on this fight i've seen. Thank you!
I'm glad it turned out well, it was a real pain to make.
Yeah watching it is the easy part, doing it is another story, this has to be the worst boss in video game history.
This guide is both helpful and crushes my hope of beating this boss. I can't even get through the first phase :p
the first phase isnt too bad after you learn the attack patterns, the second phase tho...
😂
Very comprehensive. I hope this give me and my buddy enough of a chance to beat him for once.
That was a fantastic guide, the sound queues helped me. Got it first try after knowing about them. Thanks so much for the guide!
Thanks for the feedback! And congrats on beating the boss!
After watching this a few times I finally smashed the boss on my 5th attempt! Thanks man 👍
this was super helpful. especially the tip with the sound queue. thanks a lot!
Happy to have helped out!
Until yet, the best Boss Guide out there.
Btw, he Only glitches at certain attacks.
almost got phase 2 down earlier today but i chocked and haven't far since (about 25% health left on phase 2)
Amazing guide! Well detailed, great slomos, very useful, well paced. Thanks so much.

There's a ton of drops in the first phase area. Should be able to take a moment to gather some.
Thank you for posting this video. I was hopeless after trying to defeat this boss after 20 trys 😂

Amazing quality. Keep it up!
spent hours to heat his first form only to find out he has a second.... I'm fking done.... 🗿

the bosses special attack on his second phase is that he gives you a real life seizure

I think data corruption makes it so you can’t heal too.
