    This guy doesn't know what he's talking about! The DC5 Integra was seem welded, had different gear ratios, LSD, No sunroof, HID headlights, Recaro seats, No sound deadening, Different suspension, and front Brembo brakes. Yeah, I call that a huge difference between the DC5 Integra and RSX!

    I personally didn't hear what you were explaining about the difference between the itr and the type s. From what I know the two vehicles are totally different and kinda similar in certain areas. Motor wise the itr has a higher compression motor with a different intake manifold and exhaust manifold. Itr doesn't come equipped with a sunroof unlike the type s is equipped. Itr and type s have different suspension design. Itr subframe is aluminum and type s is steel. Itr come with 17 in rims with brembo brakes. Type s 02-04 have 16in and 05-06 have 17in and both come with single piston calipers. Itr isnt equipped with interior sound deadening. Interior in both cars are similar but itr come with Recaro seats and momo steering wheel. A lot of things were left out on this video and the 2 cars are setup differently.

      Agreed, this vid didn't go into much detail. Another major difference is the Type S has open diff vs. ITR being LSD. Its why I chose Civic SI over the Type S.

    A lot is different between the 2, internals, LSD, brakes, LCA's, tune along with all the interior goods. US got a full washed down model

      DC2 GSR and Type R were very different due to the seam welded chassis and hand built motor(among other things).... The RSX type-s (especially the 05-06) are 99% the same car as the Type R. The DC5 type R does not have a seam welded chassis or a hand built race engine. It just had a few extra parts that were easily bolted on.

    you obviously know nothing about the JDM DC5 type R, rsx type s is missing the LSD, brembos, stiffer springs, recaros seats not mentioning 17hp just to name a few.

      The DC5 also has a wider rear track then the Type S, came with no sunroof, had aluminum floor braces and much more.

    The k20 and the k20a2 , k20a3 and the k20z1 are 3 totally different motors
    The k20a that came in the honda integra type r came with more aggressive cams forged internals and 11.5 :1 compression making 217hp
    The k20a2 that came in the rsx type s from 02 to 04 had 11.0 : 1 compression mild cams making 201 hp
    The k20a3 which came in the ep3 base model rsx the crv,honda element. Was and economy motor only pushing 160hp
    The k20z1 which came in the 05 -06 rsx types had 11.0:1 compression with cams a little more aggressive than the k20a from the type r giving it 210hp

      thrashingjustin it's not just the 19 hp that's different. It's the way it's delivered. Like he said it's a different motor. Much more aggressive and race inspired power delivery. You need to drive a real type r to understand

    i owned a dc5r and it is a 100 times better than the type s. Brakes interior suspension headlights taillights and most importantly the type s is single legger as in not lsd. i made 168kws atw with bolt ons and ecu upgrade.

    I drive a Prelude and drove a base-model Rsx with 160hp, even with how slow it was it was super fun to drive!! Just the base model made me want a Type S, it felt really light and responsive to everything i did

      Currently been driving a base model RSX for my first 3 yrs of driving am 19 and god damn I’ve fallen in love with her, can’t imagine how much more I would enjoy the car if it was a type s or integra

    I just got a Acura RSX Type S, but it's hella beat up, so I've got to do alot of work on it. Didn't know much about it, but now at least I know it was made by Honda. Toyota and Honda are my go to brands when looking for vehicles.

    How are you going to talk about the differences then skip over the facts that the type r engine makes more HP and Torque with a higher red line. The. Totally forget to mention the one single thing that makes the type r so damn good, the LSD.

    Any chassis that initially can with the b series typically had the preferred double wishbone suspension as opposed to the newer and cheaper MacPherson struts. Throw a K series on to any double wishbone Honda and you have a winner

    There are so many differences between the 2 cars...
    To list a few - DC5 has higher compression, different camshafts, better intake manifold, different exhaust system, brembo brakes, lighter flywheel, different ECU, RECAROS, better final drive making gear ratios much better, sound deadening removed, the DC5 is a fair bit lighter in general, different wheels. Plenty more i havent listed. Also the DC5 Type R was released in 2001, not 2002.
    ALSO there were DC5 Type Rs released in New Zealand and Australia. These were more comparable with the RSX as they were a lower spec than the JDM version

      The Cpack Type R didnt have a rear wiper, 05-06 tails were different between jdm and usdm, and some didnt have moon roofs

      The C Pack DID have a rear wiper. Standard models didnt.
      No JDM Type Rs had moon roofs

      Man from Nantucket ....Yeah, and the oil pump, piston rings, pistons, end bearings...not to mention leaking around the oil pan...will get you 1000km TOPS if you daily and feather the throttle. But, why would you build a power motor and pussy around town?😆😆😆😆....so there you go, a Honda smoke a Lambo? Yes...but that motor won't out live the V8 or V12 in a Lambo.

      Well yall wrong cause my home boy is k24/a2 frank build stock and with pump gas he pushing 340hp if e85 or any other racing fuel he can be almost 400hp

    I owned an Acura Integra with an LS engine and I loved the hell out of that car. It was the funnest sports car I have ever owned on the back roads. I could only imagine how an Integra with a K Series motor would feel like probably the perfect balance

    Don't listen to this guy. He's not good at informing people about these cars. Some of his information is incorrect. The first thing he said that is wrong is the DC5 was produced from 2002-2006. Wrong. The DC5 was produced from 2001 thru 2006 for model years 2002 thru 2006. This video sucks.

    People do make fun of Honda’s but it’s easier making 500hp on a Honda then my speed 3 that’s for sure I need a built motor if I’m ever wanting more then 400hp

      MazDaspeedG ....Keep the Speed3 and enjoy it as it is and it will out live any K20 built motor. Where l'm from the Speed3 is much harder to get than any OEM type R.

    Hey drive what you want and be proud. But I think the reason why people hate on Hondas is because of the fast if done right statement that almost all fans use. Any car’s fast if done right. They’re fairly slow from the factory. And that’s really what determines if you have a fast car or not is when it leaves the factory. I’ve seen a guy build a smart car that walks most cars. It’s irrelevant after you start changing things because any car can be made fast.

    Coming from someone who’s own DA, GSR and a DC5, the 94-01 integra is the best IMO. The chassis is light, the handling is great, and if swap with a K, it’s even better than the DC5.

    An itr dc5 to a dc5 is the same as an itr dc2 to a gsr dc2, almost different cars all together

      The motor ia different too the jdm version is tuned higher and requires 100 octane that they only have in japan...Europe and America got the dumbed down motors

    The DC5 R is a totally different car to drive than the RSX S. It is louder, more aggressive, faster, lighter, stiffer and feels better to drive. The RSX S is more civilized, isolated, leather, cruise control, sound system and stuff. The R does not even have sun visor mirrors and no radio. Because racecar

    I have a Ivy Tech 2.2 L but it's still with the whole dc5 it's fun to drive for a a daily Rider but I want something to be able to move quicker whenever I shift down second gear is always long and then Acura but still if you want a daily Rider this is your car pick it love it Tuesday enjoy it

    Japan also has the Integra Type S Version like the RSX-S, same interior but obviously RHD and the rear taillights of the Kouki or Face lift version same as the Type R ones. Engine are JDM K20Z1 not the K20A

    Itr has a higher compression and makes more power than a type s. That's why I'm saving up to drop a 05/06 k20a itr motor into my 01 civic sedan instead of doing what everyone over here does and cheap out on the k20a2

    Type r has lsd type s has no lsd the chassis on the type r is welded different too there's knotice able differences then just the badge

    In terms of motor it's similar, but I'm terms of complete package, it's entirely different. Best way to put it is like a cheese burger to a big Mac. Both got the same Patty but the big Mac has the little things that makes it better.

    I own a JDM 2006 Honda Integra Type-S. My DC5 is right hand drive. I plan to replace my headlights. Will the aftermarket headlights for the RSX fit my Integra?

    Type R is a whole different level....it's in the name surely all car guy would know a Type R is miles ahead of any lower model... 10-20bhp more, lighter, brembo brakes, stiffer chassis, LSD

    Damn i miss my DC5, only thing that I didnt like is that the stock height is very tall especially in the rear it seems. Coilovers or springs is a must for the DC5. Now i have a GennyCoupe🔰

      Neff DeathWatch type s are good if you have the money but that doesn't me you can't do anything to base models. I still see people who mod a3's and even boost them.

    The jdm version takes 100 octane the highest we have in America is 93 so they can't sell a motor here u don't have the required fuel to feed it....

    You need to learn about the differences in the suspension between the 2 generations. That's what is important. Honda specifically changed the suspension from Dual Wishbone in the front to McPherson strut design specifically to get better performance around one specific track in Japan. That's it to beat the older DC2 ITR around a track. Doesnt mean the newer design was better all around other situations. There are more limitations to the McPherson strut design where the older tried and true winner in all designs dual wishbone out performs. Where the older DC2 with wishbone with a K motor can actually out perform a DC5 ITR in other situations based off weight transfer in turns. You dont see ITR K swaps in the Japanese Racing video collection they only raced the DC2 stock for stock.

      The North American market had the FA5 while believe it or not Honda of Japan loved the way the Canadian only marketed Acura CSX looked they used that as their template for the FD2. Just to let you know...~

    I was wonder did Honda discontinue the ITR with the 2nd gen RSX (05-06). Most ITR version I’ve seen is the Body style of an 02-04 and not the 05-06

    DC5 06, sells for 10/18 kiwi dollars for medium to good example with low ks.and we only got the JDM .. no Acura.

    is funny how u would just swap the head of a k20a2 or z1 into the tsx block. they both have true vtec. don't swap nothing lol. why pay 2g on a tsx k24 engine if u just going to used the block. get the crv or element or accord k24a engine. u can pick up one of these engine for 300 or less in craigslist lol yes is lower compression but u save 1700 buck.

    I use to street race Honda's back in the days, but when i got into v8. Its was a lot cheaper to power up there HP compare to Honda's. Less money well spent.

    Bro is that it? Seems like u haven’t known enough about the dc5r compared to the type s. At the minimum u didn’t include the difference between gear ratios, final drive ratios which makes a huge difference in acceleration. It’s not just the badge and rhd.
