You’re right about Mo, years ago my dad worked in electronics shop, tv, audio equipment repairs. Mo, used to hang out with my dad, my dad asked me if I knew who the BeeGees were, I told him I loved the BeeGees, he told me about Mo hanging out with him, and what a sweet, funny, lovable, down to earth guy he was.
That's David English, their manager at the time, dressed as their "mother." They were always funny. They did comedy bits from the time they were performng as children, and they kept doing it through much of their musical adulthood. Maurice, especially, would try to make his brothers crack up while performing,
This is 2001 as where you've been listening to late 60's mid 70's Bee Gees before. Barry said that Mo keep them together. He was the peace keeper and fitted his voice in where ever it was needed. Mo was my favorite too. He was just so cool and such a dresser.
Thank you for saying that about Mo. He has always been my favorite. As far as I am concerned, he MADE the Bee Gees. Alan Kendall, lead guitarist saiD MO was the glue that held them together. The real proof is that once he died, the group was done recording as the Bee Gees
I love Mo too!! Hard for me to pick a fave! Mo wrote "Man in the Middle" which he explained he felt he was between the more opinionated/argumentative😢 ( is that the right word?) Robin and Barry. It is one of my top ten favorites ( along with this one)- and more comtemporary sounding like this one. I LOVE it & Mo sings the lead in it too. Mo also wrote and sang "Railroad", where his rich deep voice sings the lead. Love it! ❤❤❤ Asking for the full restoration of perfect health for you in Jesus' name. Amen. God bless you.
Mo is the stylish one. And the sweetest, i hear. Someone commented recently that he lived near Mo i Florida. The persons son wanted to plsy guitar, and Mo, according to this commenter, gsve him one of his own guitars. Why are we not surprised?
When I was younger I liked Barry best because he was the hot one. Now I'm all for Mo. Coolest. Looks like he'd have been the most fun to hang out with.
That's their long time good friend David English playing their Mom and the other roles in the video. He passed away November 2022. The VW van was like the one they drove around Australia in the 60s to get to gigs. Despite only Barry being old enough to have a license, People recall seeing it pull over outside of a town and see Barry get out of the driver's seat and one of the twins take over, no more than 13 or 14.
You have to catch up with Bee Gees Medley in Australia. It's either 87 or 89. Funny Moments of the Bee Gees parts 1 2 and 3 are awesome too. Mo has always been the extroverted twin who, Barry, said would bounce into a room. They're all funny though. And humble.
Mo is my guy, too! He is very intriguing. You should watch the video about his recovery from alcohol. Truly all Mo!😎 They all have such a great sense of humor….they get each other. Goof balls at heart! I❤
... their last hit single and video from 2001. As for Mo... nobody seems to realize just how much Mo was the "cement" that kept the group together. There was no Bee Gees without Mo. That is why when Mo passed unexpectedly in 2003, Barry decided there would be no more Bee Gees, even though Robin wanted to continue the group as a duo. Barry stuck with his decision, which I fully understand and agree with... there could be no Bee Gees without Mo.
I also agree with that. Barry seems to be the older brother that we would all love to have in our lives. I’m sure they had their moments (just as every group of siblings will) but you can clearly see the Love he had for each of them. Well said… there can be no Bee Gees without Mo! 💙
@@bShawreacts Mo said in an interview about his brothers about Barry:"He is a very compassionate person, a very loving person, very protective." And as childs they asked him what to do/become in future and Barry said ""We're going to be famous" and Mo was reassured, bc Barry was the eldest and he had to know it and is always right!😂
This song is different for the group but as a long time bee gees fan I absolutely LOVE this song! Last big song they released together!😥 But I think it's fantastic!!!!!!!😁👍
This is from their last album before Mo passed. The guitar Mo is using was a birthday present from one of the Beatles when he turned either 18 or 19. Barry's wife was a beauty queen when he met her. They've been married over 50 years. They were all married with families. Mo died in 2003, and in every interview he had a great sense of humor, but he was very serious about talking about when he got sober. They found a van just like the one just like they originally toured in for this video and painted like their old one was. Try :One" or "Words" sometimes.
This was their last album before Mo died. This signifies how they started out. This is the type of house they lived in. They slept in the same bed as kids. When they left for Australia this is a replica of the van they rode in. Their father moved them to a bigger better life. This is how they started. I love Mo he was the man in the middle who kept them all together..
Not random at all. Everything represents something from their past right down to the old VW bus. "I'll go anywhere with you" is a nod to their loyal fans. "They know not what they do, forgive them of their sins" is a slam against the critics that basically blacklisted them for, of all things, being too popular. "They cannot take away what you (their fans) have given me". Yes, Mo was definitely the extrovert and as their mother said "everyone's mate" and as Robin said, with a childlike sense of humor. He was the glue that kept the peace between competitors Barry and Robin. Robin was a real introvert with a tremendous intellect and biting wit. Barry was the businessman and organizer. "This is just where I came in" is basically, we're going back to where we started. Sadly Mo died suddenly after this LP was released so it was not to be.
He also worked with Robin and Barry separately when Robin left the group in the late 60s on their individual recordings. React to Trafalgar, it was an early Mo lead.
Love this song and video. You should see the Making of “This is Where I Came In”. Video. When you watch the music video you’ll understand the story they’re telling. ❤❤❤
This video is supposed to represent their lives/career, lol! They used to sleep in the same bed as kids, used to have that same type van, their mom (played by their friend David English) took care of all their clothes, Mo's magic, they love the water, Mo's hats, their sense of humor... Idk about the dog tho, lol!! Me2 Mo!! ❤ LOVE the guitar in this song, thank you Mo!!! Love the Bee Gees!! Enjoy the deep dive!! That great lyric is from the Bible - when Jesus was on the cross He said, "Forgive them Father for they know not what they are doing".
The album was released 2001 and is full of great music (for a great Mo lead try MAN IN THE MIDDLE). Mo said in an interview "we just wanted to rock a bit more". Sadly, this was their last studio album as a group - but is is a fitting one to go out on. The more you get to know these guys to more you love them and the music.
This song represents their life/career- sleepng in one bed as children, touring with their bus, their mother ironing their tight white trousers- she "made" their dresses a long time-, their manager.....BARRY GIBB: The title is a sardonic remark about ourselves. It's our way of saying that nothing ever really changes. It's very honest and it reflects our feelings about everything that's happened to us in the past 30 years.
Thank you so much for sharing this with me… now that I’ve read your comment the video makes perfect sense! Hope all is going well for you and again Thank you. These guys are just so incredible to listen and react to!
The BeeGees grew up with little money. This song reflects their past. Sharing a bed, mum making their clothes, traveling in an old combi, doing ads on tv for extra money. Great song. This was the last album before Mo passed away. The one they were working on was never finished. He was the glue that held them together and the BeeGees were finished when he passed.
You need to react to their funny moments videos. Won’t be any sad tears❤ There is a British show like candid camera called Gotcha you would love and definitely no tears unless from laughing too hard
Came here through Ren reactions, but sitting here listening to the bee gees!! Loving it! You’re doing a great job with your reactions mate! Subscribed and followed! Hope you’re feeling better today and chin up man, we’re all rootin’ n tootin’ for you!
I love your reaction to this one. I think I had a similar reaction the first time I heard it and saw the video. The more I looked into the meaning of the song, I fell in love with the story of it. It’s so cool! I really enjoy your reactions. Sorry you are having health issues. Praying for healing of all that ails you. ❤️
Oh, I agree with you about Mo. He is so very talented and just the guy in the middle between Barry and Robin who struggled to be lead of the group. He added the finishing touch on the harmony. He would have been awesome to sit and talk to.
The Bee Gee's came from a poor background and when they lived in Manchester, England they slept all 3 to a bed. When they started touring as children in Australia their mother made all their vests/waistcoats and ironed all their shirts 42 per tour. I expect the VW is relevant too!
The guitar Mo is playing in this video was gifted to him by John Lennon for his 21st birthday. Here are some songs with Mo on lead I think you will enjoy. Suddenly from the 1968 album Odessa, the title track from the 1971 album Trafalgar, Lay It On Me 1970, On Time from 1972, and Walking On Air from 2001. Enjoy! 😊
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing this with me! I’m trying my best to react to songs as much as my body will allow me too… which lately has been a struggle. Hope all is going well for you my friend! 💙
I laugh out loud every time I watch this video. I love that it made you laugh too! The BeeGees truly loved each other and their wives and children. It shows in their music and the way they lived. So glad I was able to share the music that has brightened my life since I fell in love with them in my teens. My favorite was always Barry, but my husband loves Mo. One night he came out of the bedroom dressed like him. So hilarious! I will send the photo to your email. He got hugs for that😊. I have really developed a love for Ren as well since you introduced him to me. Thank you for expanding my awareness of his struggles and genius. Ben, I pray for you and your family every day. Sending my love your way. A great song that is a tribute to wives is Lonely Days by my boys the BeeGees. Thanks for your reactions! I love them!
💙 Thank you! 🙏 Your husband is awesome! Sounds like something I’d do too! 😂 This was a great song and I will continue the journey of learning more from the Bee Gees! I am so glad that you are enjoying Ren as well. He is still very new to me and I have a whole new list of requests coming at me to react to more of his songs! I’m trying to do as much as possible just don’t want to over do it you know? Anyway, Thank you guys for the prayers, love and support that you continue to send towards us! It truly means so much! I pray daily all is going well for you and your family as well! Take care until next time my friend! 💙
Hey B, would you react to Bee Gees, Wine and Women. This is a song Barry wrote in early 60's and was released in 1965. He would of been around 15 or 16 give or take. Thanks.
You make Kristy's day when you react to the videos she recommends! This song is one of our favorites. We listen to it all the time. I love the guitar in it. Mo seems to be a really cool dude. The whole song is great! The video cracks us up!! Kristy and I watched your reaction together and really enjoyed it. She laughed at your reactions the whole time!!!😊 Keep them coming
Aww my friend Thank you so much! I am so glad you guys actually enjoy my crazy reactions! I really did enjoy this one though! I showed my wife the original video and she Loved it as well! You two are amazing and I Thank you so much for the love and support! Be well my friend!
Hi ben great reaction as always ! I thought this song and video was a little too early for you to realistically be able to react to as a "newbie" bee gees fan💜 the video is so entertaining as the guys always are when they together lol glad you had a good time watching it - this is about their lives and career from kids to adults please watch the making of this song as it will explain more and gice you that "oh I get it now" moment lol I have loved these guys for so long and enjoy that their wonderful talent will be treasured now and forever with each new reaction by you and many others! Thank you for doing a great job and please take care of yourself healthwise ❣️🙏🏼 Mo has many great songs to see him perform - "Closer than Close", "Man in the Middle", "Wildflower" to name a few 💜 Feel better ! Thank you so much! I will absolutely check out the making of this song video, I’m super intrigued! I can’t wait for what else is out there for me to discover! Thank you for the kind words also, means so much! Hope all is well for you my friend… 💙👍
Mo is playing the guitar John Lennon gave him for his 21st birthday. He had struggled with alcohol, but was sober and was super engaged for this - their last album. Please react to WALKING ON AIR. I think it’s my favourite with him on lead. When he’s on lead, he usually wrote the words and music, and may play all instruments except maybe drums. Mo was super outgoing, Robin super introverted, and Barry somewhere in between. Mo owned a paintball shop, and super competitive, so organised a team with plans to compete professionally. Sending up prayers for a complete healing. Bee Gees always lift my mood!
Now you need to react to their youngest brother Andy Gibb he's almost a splitting image of his brother Berry Gibb and just impressive like love is thicker than water and a few others
Next you have to react to the Making of this video, video. 😊 they definitely had fun making it. On a personal note, how are you doing since you lost your fur baby? I had another tough moment when I got my boy's ashes back😢
I’m still struggling with the loss as well. We got his ashes back and they included his paw print, a piece of clippings from his fur, and they even did a nose print in silicone for us. While I’m sure in time I will be so grateful to have those things to remember him by but at the moment it literally tore my heart open again. It’s just so hard to believe that he is actually gone. I know you know exactly what I’m saying/feeling and I’m sincerely sorry that you are going through this also. Just know you aren’t alone in this and I am always available if needed. Please try to do your best each day as I feel that is all any of us can do. Take care my friend… 💙
@@bShawreacts I'm waiting for the customized urn I ordered to arrive. That's going to be another hard day, putting his ashes in it. Meantime Hannah is 38 lb of energy and joy. Today is a month since I brought her home from the shelter and we're BFF now❤
So watch them playin' that song live, for your own pleasure. Manytimes to find on YT. I'm one of those, having no personal favorite bros. Gibb, so they're equal to me. 100% Bee Gees fan = 33 1/3 percent to Barry, Robin and Maurice (written in order of birth). Andy is supagood too, but I'm more into Bee Gees. If you want to explore more about the personality of Maurice and you can save some time, it would be a must forya to watch 'Fighting Back' part one and two, also to find on YT.
Love this song. Only goes to show that the Bee Gees can write and play for any genre.

That's the best part of this video!
Yeah it’s their 22nd and last studio album, that’s why it’s sounds so different and modern, it is!
He's my favorite too b
There is a video showing the making of this video. Shows what everything means and how fun making it was. Love your style
the man behind them making the rol of an old woman is David English , old president of RSO records and Barry's best friend.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing this with me. I will definitely be checking out some of the material with Mo on lead, Hope all is well for you!
👏💪👍
Today is a month since I brought her home from the shelter and we're BFF now❤
@@Zlata1313 that’s so awesome that you have a new best friend with her! They bring so much joy to our lives don’t they!?!? 🤗
@@bShawreacts absolutely!
I will do! Thank you!

I agree regarding Maurice. I think Kurt Vile ripped this.
