- Here's a remix of Rusty Ruin Zone... but which one? All of them!
Yeah, I wanted to try fusing both the Genesis and Saturn versions to see how well it would work, and my conclusion is that I think both versions complement each other really well! It honestly worked even better than I thought it would, hope you enjoy it too.
This arrangement was commissioned for a (currently unreleased) project titled KFAD Encore. If that sounds interesting to you, keep an eye out for future news that comes out about it! (not from me though, SnakeManvsArbok is the actual lead of it)

Rusty Ruin Zone: What Sonic actually listened to in there
Finally, the definitive fusion. It is a work of art.🤩
Seconded! The Genesis track is bumpin', while the Saturn track is atmospheric. They work together!
FUUUUUUSUON.... HAA!!
Beautiful...truly ideal for listening to during a rainy day.
feels like if marble zone had water instead of lava, and it was in a jungle
It's perfect for Sonic 3D in 2D
huh, I always felt like both console versions of these tracks had a completely different feel to them, but I was definitely wrong!
These two match and compliment each other perfectly, and feel like a much more "full" song than either did separately! Great job!
Played on Genesis as a kid - I'm in love with this. That's going to make my work day today a productive trance as I write. Be proud of this one.
It feels like Rusty Ruin Zone Act 3.
that doesn't exist silly 😆😆😆
@@DrizzyFan2-uo9pvI think he means if there were an Act 3 question is which console would it play on?!
@@ssj4gogeta130Actually... I have no clue...
@@ssj4gogeta130 If this were real, it would definitely be the Sega Saturn version considering that the Sega Genesis wouldn't be able power to produce this type of audio, But then would be kind of weird if the act 3 version of the song contained bits of the song from the Genesis version of 3D blast (if the game even had that many acts) and since all the songs from the Saturn version are completely original, and the composers of this game probably didn't even know about the original soundtrack, so... Theory Busted???
Ok this is dope as hell. I always wanted to see some kinda spin on combining both versions, and this sounds perfect!
A certified booty bumpin banger yo
If Sonic 3D Blast were to have a remaster in 2024, this is what Rusty Ruins Zone would sound like.
I grew up with the genesis version and I didn't hear the Saturn until RUclips became a thing. I grew to appreciate both soundtracks. This is an art in of itself. Despite what fans say, it wasn't the worst in the franchise. It had it's charm and the music proves the rule how the Sonic franchise has competent composers at the helm. This is a perfect mashup!
Makes me wanna buy the Saturn version now
why this feels like something David wise (the composer of the music of the DK country trilogy) would create for a snes game
Rusty Ruin Good Future
Exato!!!
This song has always had a special place in my heart with my Father and I
Thank you for this, he would have loved to hear this
I was confused at first then it switched right into Saturn's melody. All I had to do was read the subtitle. This is a phenomenal fusion of the 2 variants. Love it!
This is so good, its like if this song was made for DKC2. Would I be allowed to use this in a video in the future with credit?
yea thats cool with me, just link back to this upload somewhere like in the description
@@izzykart5789 thanks, I cant wait to use it, such a good remix
Makes me think of something that King Meteor Studios would do.
I didn't think putting these together would make something so well synched, nice work!
WOW I CAUGHT THIS VIDEO WHEN IT WAS OUT FOR 35 SECONDS
Incredible video
This is really good dude.
Simply perfection!
This is a hidden gem...you deserve WAY more subscribers than you have now.
Such a great work
I love this! What a combination!
Love it!
I saw this a couple of times in my recommended and I thought it was just a regular mash-up; eventually I was curious as to how it would sound. But man, you made it yourself! And it sounds _beautiful!_ You really did a great job of putting the best of each track together, making them unique but adjusting them well enough to blend. It's a smooth, chill mix, and I can see myself playing this on Lost World 😁
Nunca vi outras pessoas fazendo isso, você se superou meus parabéns!!!
THIS.
IS.
INCREDIBLE.
This is amazing
I had no idea the two soundtracks meshed so perfectly!
This is actually a great idea!
I wonder if this could be the base for other mashups/medleys like this one
OMG THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL I CAN'T FKCING EXPLAIN IT, I LOVE YOU!
*Also it would be cool if you did a Saturn + Genesis remix of the final boss theme!*
Niceeeee
Two good soundtracks, one okay as hell yet charming game, multiple hours of playtime in an emulator
I think I have a problem....
Rusty Ruin Zone (Sega CD/PS1)
3:09 there’s a bug!
I recognise that piano!! Is that a Korg M1?

Do Green Grove Zone Act 1
hi, it's Rusty "Ruins" Zone~
Nope, just Ruin, singular.
@@AdmiralOctopus Why....?
like c'mon, they're ruins, it should be called rusty ruins
but then again there's literally no rust so it should really be called:
@@danyo5786 I'm not arguing for or against the name, just saying that in-game it's Rusty Ruin, not Ruins.
But if I had to say why, then a "ruin" refers to a singular ruined building, whereas "ruins" refers to multiple, so I guess the implication is that it's all the remains of a single building.
They probably just picked Rusty so the level name would be alliterative like all the others.
Genesis:Rusty Ruins
Saturn:Rusty Ruin
WHICH ONE IS RIGHT
Great!
Now do the rest, you cowered.
*I didn’t think it was possible to make genesis sound good but here we are! Genesis sounds like shit! But I didn’t hear act 2 in here apart from the horn thing!*
genesis has ALWAYS sounded good despite the limitations in the default console compared to the super nintendo, games can have their own custom sound chips, (usually based off the YM1267 or other things.)
