    Mato: Now, what would you play here?
    * checks to see if it's a Tal video *
    NO * calm positional move *
    YES * takes nearest piece with queen, wins *

    "There are two types of sacrifices, correct ones, and mine" - Mikhail Tal

  • @vedranlabetic1915
    @vedranlabetic1915 7 лет назад +30

    Mikhail Tal - His imagination is crazy, infinitive. He always makes, I like to say a "controlled mess" on the board, in which he sees his plan only. That "confusing" situation for his opponents, is only a huge, messy camouflage for his killer attack. Playing against Tal is like to be hungry in the forest, having basket with 150 mushrooms, with 149 lethal. I bet that in his prime, he could beat every grandmaster. His imagination is totally superior.

      If Tal playing against yop sacrifice a piece, you are in trouble and end is coming :-)

    0:38 Is there any data to back that up? Capa was known as being hard to beat. Fischer lost twice as many tournament games as a percentage of his game total than Capa did, for example. 12% vs. 6%. What about Petrosian?

    • @johntothtoth7976
      @johntothtoth7976 9 лет назад

      Interesting. Sacrifices such as Gambits can suffer heavy bombardment. Blackmar Diemer gambit: "Shopping for a tombstone... " What we must consider is the term decisionmaking/abstract versus afterwards analalysis. One of them takes courage and the other cowardness. Best of luck with your games! :-)
