The thumbnail is so accurate to a Civic si. Looks like you're on fast and furious but you're actually going 17 mph.
Bro, that rev hang WTF!
Another car murdered by rev hang.
What is rev hang?
@@evanhong4661 dang he left you unanswered
@@evanhong4661 When you rev the car up and put the clutch in and the rev's just hang there for a second or two before dropping down. I have an Si and my car has it. It's annoying.
That rev hang tho
Maaaaan that rev hang is real! Would drive me crazy
main reason why i didnt buy one, the rev hang just killed the driving experience. WRX too....
@@SierraTango00 Rev hang with the WRX is easily fixed with an aftermarket tune. When I had my 2015, it was a night and day improvement.
@@SierraTango00 it can easily be removed with ktuner.
@@vzdragon lol they dont want to hear that they just came to comment about the rev hang and its fuckin hilarious
Ricardo Morales Well, I have a WRX and don’t want to do any tunes until the warranty is up. I’ve had to deal with the rev hang for almost 3 years and trust me, it’s tedious. Rev hang ruins the experience tbh, but you sound like you haven’t driven enough MT cars to understand what people here are talking about.
2:01 i can relate lol
Noj Rpaico I went and test drove one earlier and it was annoying as hell and I kept saying I know I can’t be the only one having this problem😂
I deal with this same issue in a cobalt I thought it was just me
bb boi he was trying to put it into 5th gear lol it happens to me too
Mee too. So annoying hahah
A good tune would kill the Rev hang. That's why the Type R and SI are night and day difference in terms of driving. Type R is so much more exhilarating.
Yeah, too bad that would void the factory warranty though. This is an attractive car imo but that rev hang is something fierce
The Type R was made to be a track car. The Si is basically a budget tuner car - you have to put a bit of money into it and make it what you want. You can pretty much make your own Type R and still come out cheaper than actually buying one.
@@BlackstarSI I mean you can make it a far more aggressive car with a tune and bolt ons but the type r is in a totally different class. The Si is still a Civic. It’s not meant to be a race car, just a good, fun, reliable daily driver.
@@juno2230 no doubt, that’s basically what I was saying as well. The Civic Si is meant to be tuned more to your liking while the Type R is already the complete package right out of the box.
We need this car in FH4
lol trying to get it into 5th at the beginning XD
I did the same thing in that car it has shorter throws than my last manual but its easy now for me
I have an investment interview in 1hour. Wish me luck Im shaking. Ohh and nice review to calm me down
King Of Prague good luck! You got this!
You got this, go get it!
How did it go?
how did it go m8?
OP pls
Just bought a 1.5 Sport Plus today, which is basically the sportiest trim we get here in Europe (aside from the Type R). We don't get the Si.
I am so incredibly excited. Second to last unit to be delivered to my country. Just have to wait until June.
Got it in Rallye Red.
How is it?
@@_u0nda928 It's better than I expected in almost every way. Really worth the money. It's so good at just about everything. Practical and economical when you want it to be, too. Only downside is paint quality.
@@ovidiudiumea4012 Ah well idk if we have the same trim here in the US but I'll look out for it!👍
@@_u0nda928 I would go for the Si if I were in the US. It's a great trim!
@@ovidiudiumea4012 Yeah I'm looking to get a 8th or 9th gen Si, mainly because they look nice and VTEC BABY😂
The only thing I don't like about this car is that I don't have one.
😭😭😭😭 the RIDES OVER 🤧🤧🤧🤧
Arent the led highlights with matrix like high beams?
Why is the shifter so noisy? It sounds like a Logitech shifter. That and the rev hang would drive me nuts.
Drive DB7 dude just stfu
A J - Only if you ask nicely. 😄
Drive DB7 totally agree. Rev hang not good.
@@RampageLegend did someome shit in your cereal lmak
The shifter noise, I can deal with. But that rev hang? Ugh. That would annoy me to no end.
The 1.5 just sounds nasty at high revs. It's cute in the Fit, but it's out of character in this. Huge downgrade from the K24 in that respect.
I have a 2020 Honda Accord sport 1.5T CVT and I’m trying to figure out if I should make the switch to the civic si 🤔
Had one of these chasing me on the Dragon earlier today. It seemed to do well
What were you driving
i watched this vid for 30times now xD
Yuck! I cannot get over that god awful rev-hang 🤢
For size reference, how tall are you? Im 6ft and i know i’ll fit in the front im just worried about the person sitting behind me. I want the si but if the people in the back aren’t comfortable then i have to go with the accord
Have you tried a tuned 10th gen yet? Should fix those shifts and give it some more boost
Anyone that appreciates this car hates the rev-hang. Give me a 2 liter version of this with no rev-hang please and also forget the lane keep distractions cuz a sports car drives in the margins. What are they thinking??? ;-0
Don R this is not a sports car
@@f181234 It's a civic Si, do you not know what Si stands for? "Sport induced". It's classified as a sports car
still don't know if I want an SI or TYPE R. I guess it depends on my pockets.
The type r is better
It's the dildo setting
type r all day. ive had mine for about a month now and i’m in love
type r is better but si much more budget friendly
Never drove a si however I drove a type r for 24 hrs and uh, won’t ever drive the si
Imagine if you win first against a Ferrari with the Sport Injection Honda Civic?
How do you activate that red line to blink?
and the camera when signaling right?
It was showed in the video under setting->vehicle ... the camera is on as default setting but I believed u can turn it off too
Did you find the noise inside the cabin is loud when driving on the free way
Is it true, that the timing chain needs replacement every 120.000 km ?
13:33 driving that street feels like riding a horse
IT is your first honda because i hear your gear schifting
Hoooold up. This ain't Chris!
Eugene Won how do you know?
It definitely isn’t. This is either another staff member or the winding road California. Chris Amos doesn’t drive like that lmao
@@bradleyscarreviews haha I have watched enough of his videos to tell. Chris doesn't keep his hand on the shift knob, and his hand position on the steering wheel is different, too. Chris is also a rev-match and heel-toe god, and the driver of the video here doesn't seem to do either of those, if at all.
Just watch his videos on his own channel. Search TheTopher.
when Chris will come
where am I able to get that spoiler for my touring trim? :((
So beauty please drive volkswagen passat 2016 1.8 tsi
yego el mejor día del mundo bro
Which is better compare it to RS turbo?
What binaural mic are you using?
Can someone advices. Does the boost read -whatever the boost level number . like -11 or it should just say 11. I have the same car 2018 ..
HONDAR CIVIL YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY🥵
super car 🚗
automotivetv it isn’t supercar but the car is super
DO THAT FOR THE BEST CANDIDATE IN THIS WORLD
I had it for 45 day’s.
looks like spider man or deadpool would drive it lol
that shifting T_T
Fantastic engine, got it on HR-V, love it.
It might be a fantastic engine for an HRV, not so much for an Si.
The HR-V uses the same engine/transmission from the Honda Fit, not the Civic. The HR-V uses Honda’s 1.8L NA engine, not the 1.5T used in the Civic and Civic Si.
In what universe does the HR-V have that engine?
@@amggaming3528 In Europe, we have it, really excellent. This model also have perfomance Yamaha dampers.
and for sceptics ==> ruclips.net/video/Ud2E1YbZ2Ls/видео.html
100th like on the video. Also I really like this car, reminds me of my dad’s 2017 civic hatchback sport.
in this view it seems like the old 2.4l vtec they had... well sounds almos the same
I disagree. This 1.5 liter L series engine was good for the Honda Fit. Its the 2.0 liter and 2.4 K series that gave the Si its true character.
@@daniel022209 i know my 2.4 was so good
2:01 i have the same problem with civic bro
Will be like that when you’re driving, won’t cause the issue Lol
you nice driving
How do you go reverse in these cars?
you put in reverse and control the speed with the clutch
Great
First clue it is someone else- no talking.
Good
Welp I just test drove this car on the weekend along side a 2017 sti and 2019 wrx all for the first time and when I got in the civic it’s like I went into the future lol don’t get me wrong the look of the Rex is slick looking but other then that it drives like a truck the gearbox is odd and not like a Honda’s at all feels loose 😂 and the clutch engagement is weird and heavy near impossible to drive smooth and before someone says I don’t know how to drive I’ve owned a ap1 s2k for 10 years but this Honda Si is the whole package can only imagine what the type R is like..
How was the test drives for the subarus?
Is Honda putting grilles on the rear now too
Honda Civic Si Sedan 2020 or VW Golf GTI mk7 2020?
Go for Honda if you want reliability, but if you can afford it go for GTI.
Yeah if you have the means, go for GTI
Do u think u can do a test drive on a 2003 bmw x3 plz
Why manuel
Yo how tf you accelerate from a stop so easily, I almost always stall or peel out, what’s the secret
I'm sure you've gotten better but really all it is, is just getting to the bite point smoothly.
Hm I’m thinking about it I want a Manual car :( . I got a 2015 accord is it worth it ? If not ima keep looking for an evo xD
Please video bmw 7 series 2008 modle
4:10 red ligth
make a video about Porsche Cayenne turbo 2013 year
no Vtech...
Yes no VTech......because VTech is a phone company....I assume u mean VTEC or I-VTEC
@@VindicatorFFXI 😂😂😂
I wish the SI’s were automatic 😢
Learn to drive manual it’s not that hard. You could do it 👍
Learn manual, it's much more fun (not in traffic though 😂) and way more engaging than automatic.
you could use a little more practice in a manuel...some of those shifts were god awful!!!!!
jd lehman It’s not the driver. The Si is just tough to drive smoothly without getting used to at first because of the immense amount of rev hang.
jd lehman all bc of rev hang not him
Obviously it's you who needs more practice in a manual. I have about 2 hours of experience in a manual car and obviously I'm already better than you if you can't tell what rev hang is 😂😂
You need to drive an Si it sounds like. Si's have tons of rev hang. It's not the driver. It's the rev hang. I've driven quite a few other standard vehicles that had no rev hang and had no problem driving those. Si has tons of rev hang though which makes it a pain in the ass to drive. Rev hang affects the way the car drives 100%.
It runs like shit.
I'm not a fan of the sound of the 4 cylinder, sounds like a lawnmower
With all of the refinements that Honda has with their cars, that 1.5 seems to buzz in the cabin rather loudly. Now, I do like to have some sound when driving a manual trans but it is a shame because the new Civics have a beautiful interior compared to the previous generation.
VTEC is better than this shit
EM1045 Honda decided to add amplified/pumped-in engine noise via the speakers for the 2020 Si. That’s why it sounds so loud/buzzy. Models prior to 2020 didn’t have the amplified noise.
@@theconformist2399 My friend had a 2016 Civic Touring and the engine buzzed like crazy. They probably added some sound insulation since then too, I was just going by my personal experience. I wasn't trying to bash honda or the 1.5 engine so if came off that way I'm sorry
I hate the styling so much , it tries to look like a race car but looks like a hot wheels toy
It sounds like a tin can inside of a tin can inside a washing machine
GLI is better..
This guy's stick work is mediocre at best.
That's not a VTEC... What a shit sound!
Boring
Don't run stop signs
Yea I can't even pay attention to any review if they don't even know how to do something as small as use a stop sign..he ran atleast 5 stop signs...came into an intersection at 45mph and almost wasn't even able to make the turn...had to yank it left and he stabbed the brakes....then proceeds to double the posted speed limit in dark residential streets
@@VindicatorFFXI relax fanny boy
First
Honda’s are garbage they Havnt got any better for 2020 just shows how cheap they are and how Honda doesn’t care for their customers
