I've camped that area, I love it. Thank you for including that the camp sites are first come first serve. I had a lot of other campers yell at me for setting up in a stall and they claimed they were "reserved". So, I had to camp in a spot that wasn't a designated camping area. Oh well, I enjoyed my trip regardless. Plus the drive over to snake lake was really nice. Just wish my rig was capable of getting down the trail. Awesome vid guys!
Looked like an awesome trip. I just got my new sliders in today and after powder coating and install I'll be looking forward to getting out there, at least in my neck of the woods.
looks awesome. I'm thinking about checking this trail out in my 2019 Tacoma double cab short bed. 2.5" lift and 33's locked front and rear with skids and sliders. I'm hoping I can navigate through, that tight squeeze out looks tough.
Plan to head up there end of this month, hopefully COVID will lift to open trails to campgrounds in time. Thanks for sharing this trip of yours as it helps with all my planning. I am running 33" on a slightly lifted 4R (285/70). Should I air down much for this rocky terrain if only going to 4x4 campground?
@@BiggyMcWang -- it all.depends on your set up, how much weight, tires and wheels combos... On my truck bobcat I run 8 psi with no beedlocks. You should start with a high psi and lower as needed
SnailTrail4x4 yup , that’s when we ran into you guys. I was in the black GX 470 and the rest of my crew where in 3rd 4runners. I knew this video looked familiar !
Nice work of Snake Lake trail, ESPECIALLY when it was wet!
It looks like a fun easy trail for a day trip. The go-fast camper looks like a great setup. I really enjoyed watching this! Thanks for sharing
Yeah, could be a day trip if you live close. But it was a great overnight adventure also

Thanks, yeah there are no reservations in the 4x4 campground.
@@SnailTrail4x4 for Gold Lake it is now reservations only. I was there yesterday and was the only one on the entire lake, it was amazing!
Beautiful county Jimmy, I'd love to come wheeling those areas one day. Love all the trees and lakes
This is a very beautiful part of california, you should come out
That’s one of my favorite campsites CA. I’ve probably been there 9-10 times. That whole area has amazing camping and tons of mountain biking.
Yeah, i need to explore that area some more!
The little taco is a monster great video
Thanks! Appreciate you taking the time out of your day to comment.
amazing content

Thx for the campsite details!
Awesome! On my To Do list now!
Great spot
Absolutely awesome video. This is the type of Offroad that I love the most!! More adventure!
Such a fun area, not to difficult for bobcat but just enough challenge that you occasionally need to think about tire placement
always enjoy some good wheeling action videos

You should just hold the upper line. I saw a video of a full size making it through.

I would if you have a way to air up. Maybe go down to 12-15psi
@@SnailTrail4x4 I got the air up kit. 12 PSI is safe without bead locks? Thanks for the tips.

This video was recorded in October 2019
Is the trail to gold lake large enough for a ford Raptor or would you say only midsize offroad vehicles ?
Yeah you can make it no problem, if your going up soon id look at snow levels
Made it to gold lake in my stock ram on 33
Love the music.
Whats the name of the artist and song?
All of them? Or a specific one?
