Hello. I hope you enjoy this video. Today we are walking around Biddestone. Biddestone is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, in the South West of England. The parish lies just within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As we walk around we see buildings in the village from the 16th, 17th and 18th Century. Biddestone has an idyllic village green with duck pond and two pubs. One of the buildings on the village green was once a 16th century cloth factory. The church of St Nicholas that we pass is Grade I listed, it's doorway and windows date back to Norman times, and it has a 13th-century bell turret. After looking at the ducks on the pond we walk to the other side of the village where we can see the sunrise over the sports field. The village has been used as a filming location for Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death (2014)! It is about 5:30am, most people are asleep, apart from the occasional passing car. The faint distant noise of the M4 motorway can be heard but most of the noises you hear are birds greeting the gorgeous morning sun, when we arrive at the sports field we can hear a buzzard calling out. Please do leave a comment, or like the video, it is lovely to hear from people. Please suggest a town or village you would like to see more of in the South West of England. If you have never been to Biddestone I hope this video helps you feel a little closer to it. It gives me great pleasure to make places like this accessible to people.
Pleasant Environment and buildings are displined by the stones, the shoot work was really Amazing.
Thank you very much the Seniors.
That twittering birdsong is a balm for the weary modern soul
There’s nothing quite like the dawn chorus 😊
Who is making such wonderful videos of such wonderful places. I am from India, must express my gratitude for the great happiness they provide. May God bless the maker of these videos.
Thank you so much, that is a very kind comment. Glad you liked the walk.
A special walk indeed. This is the second or third time I've watched this walk and it's, as the others, a heart chakra joy. Thank you from Costa Rica.
That's such a lovely traditional old Wiltshire village with village green and duckpond.
Who doesn't love a duck pond!
Beautiful. Beyond imagination. I love it, thank you for this lovely walk.
Thank you for the leave a lovely comment
Thank you for the beautiful memories. Although I still work for London local business directory, I have been stuck? in Sydney since lockdowns started here. Although there are worse places to be stuck in, I miss the English countryside, having spent most of my life on the edge of the green belt in Enfield.
Thank you for leaving a comment. I hope you get out to explore around Sydney
Very different from Nova Scotia where the architectural vernacular is wood. An enjoyable walk, I particularly liked the changing light from the slowly rising sun.
I can imagine how different it would be from Nova Scotia, I’ve seen a few videos on the area
Beautiful and mesmerizing.
Many thanks!
I have been an Au Pair in Biddestone in 1993. I stayed in the Old Rectory. I am so Happy to still recognise some of thé places I have been to. Thank you.
A pleasure. I hope the walk brought back some nice memories... maybe pushing a buggy around the village.
New subscriber here. As an introvert...your videos are heaven sent.🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️.

England ! O England ! How beautiful you are : without cars ! Thank you for your lovely videos
Thank you for watching! England appreciates it.
If I had to choose my favourite parts of this video they would include the house completely covered in ivy, the water-pump and nearby garden, and the stunning contrast between the brightly coloured lupins or hollyhocks (not sure which) and the grey stone walls of the village. Thank you for making and uploading this video xx
Vines my look nice but people don't realise how destructive they really are...
Thanks for the walk! I wanted an English village and immediately found your channel. How wonderful that you make it accessible! Greetings from snowy St. Petersburg!
Welcome to the channel! Nice to know it was easy to come across. I'd love to visit St. Petersburg, we have no snow in England... just rain at the moment... lots of rain 😂

Thank you for watching and the lovely comment
Very enjoyable walk in a beautiful village! Filming very early in the morning is really the best way
Really enjoyed this. Were I there myself, I would be strolling at the same pace so I could look around and take everything in. Too many of these types of videos proceed as though they were on a timed army route march focusing solely on what is directly in front. But this felt like the next best thing to actually being there.
Thank you Anthony that comment is really appreciated
Oh my! Such a nice video... So relaxing follow your steps... England ever gorgeous all around. Thank you so much for your lovely job bringing us the opportunity to see this marvelous country in a so detailed way ....XOX
@@reginaceliasombinidossanto367 Thank you for the lovely comment
Lovely work. Just echoing an earlier request to please turn you camera side to side so that we can look at windows and doors and signs, etc. The most interesting things are not just straight ahead. That being said, your camera work is head and shoulders above most everyone else. Many thanks.
Your work is precious, thanks a lot!
Beautiful simple pleasures. Thankyou for taking us along.
My pleasure. Sometimes the simple things in life are the best.
Wonderful.

Hi! I live in Brazil, I found your channel yesterday and I'm loving it. Please keep recording. These villages and cities are beautiful. I don't speak English, but I'm translating through Google.
O Google tradutor é incrível! Eu uso isso o tempo todo. Espero que isso se traduza bem para o português brasileiro. Obrigado por assistir

Thanks! I thought you literally meant 💥😂
Красивый Восход, даёт красивую жизнь. Благодарю. 👍
Спасибо 😊😊
Lugares lindosss
Wonderful thanks! An editorial suggestion - a pause to look closely at perhaps some flowers, the symmetry of a stone wall, leaves in a puddle, bark....just a few still moments now and then. Thank you.
Thanks for the suggestions, I sometimes worry that the videos are too long but I must learn to relax more and not rush. Thank you.
This video really helped me feel a little closer to biddestone, thank you
Always welcome 😊
👌👌👌👌
😊😊
Это здорово. Спасибо.
Beautiful light filming so early in the morning. We were there earlier today walking in the drizzle. Nearby Marshfield is a lovely old village to film. I done a video of this village on my RUclips channel. 🙂🙂
Thanks Martin, the early bird catches the 🪱! I'll have a gander at your channel now!
Really beautiful walks but as no single person ,sign of livelihood.anywhere little ghostly vibes...videos too good!! Liked your work
Thanks for watching and the comment. Yes it is almost too quiet
It’s very early in the morning
beautiful video thanks for sharing. a few years ago I lived in Swindon, but I returned to Brazil.
Glad you enjoyed it. That is quite a change! 🇬🇧👋
Swindon??? Never been there but but I've heard it's not the best of places??
I ‘discovered’ Biddlestone watching Agatha Raisin (I watch more UK and foreign shows than I do US ones). Had to know what beautiful village that is….
We BRITS take this all for granted the beautiful castles/Hamlets/palaces and stately homes.Because we see it everyday we leave our homes to buy groceries/fill the car with petrol (gas) so it's normal for us to see one.And we see foreigners in the comments section go OMG I'd love to visit that village or live there and we BRITS think why It's only a village/palace or whatever you get what I mean?? Lols
@@ORDEROFTHEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR13 it is easy to do. Most people do that wherever they live. My mom grew up in the military (as did I) and she taught me to max out every place I lived because you might only be there for a short while. I have done my best to do that (tho as I have gotten older, it has gotten harder), so I don’t just ignore what is around me. But it is actually the more small cottages with beautiful gardens that grab me more than castles, etc. Love Inglenook fireplaces, beams, thick walled windows, etc. My grandfather was born in Yorkshire so I would love to visit someday but again… age/health, so I live vicariously thru videos, tv shows & movies, etc. (oh and window shopping on Air BnB and Righmove 😂)
Imagine playing cricket there at this time🤯
Thank you for such a lovely video, I was wondering if you wanted more ideas of a different sort to add maybe a little humour occasionally. When parked up in my tanker in country lanes all over the midlands, whilst looking at the map book, found some really strange and often humorous village names.
Ones like "tiddleywink" and "crackpot" made me laugh, and yes, they are REAL village names. Over a period of time during dinner breaks, I found so many more, would you consider walking through a lovely village, then at the end, show us that it is named "beer", "stout", "ugley", "nasty" "ryme intrisica" or even "Twatt" (Shetland Island), I have a list of about 50, what do you think?.
Un lugar de sueño, es hermoso.!
Gracias 😊
Yeah with a dream price LUNA and that's over $1 million dollars for a house here they virtually goes up 25-40% every 10 years because everyone wants one so they are paying silly prices for them. But if you'd bought one in the 1950's -1970's in which you would of probably paid around $40-$75K for it.But now your looking at way over the $1-2 MILLION price bracket but what a awesome investment to make because you'd have made a $ 1 MILLION of pure profit..
I’m watching from a small town in East Texas, USA… Loved this video! Along the way, I wanted to look to the left into the pub? Was that a pub?… I wanted to go closer to Saint Nicholas church… And then there was that driving lane… So confusing… It was a two-way lane but looked like only room for one car… And the signs were saying give way to oncoming traffic… Give way where?! OMG… I would be just like Cameron Diaz in that movie The Holiday when she is driving and sees oncoming traffic and freaks out! Lol… The pond with the ducks was absolutely beautiful… People are living in this village?! I want to live there! It’s beautiful! I never knew there were such places that were actually real… Wow… Amazing… Thank you for this walkaround in the most quaint village I’ve ever seen… I love it…😊💖
I think that is one of my favourite comments. I never realised how overwhelming it could be to someone not from England visiting. I’ve never watched The Holiday but my wife has. People do live here! Best wishes and glad you liked the walk… I hope it was at least a little tranquil 🇬🇧👋😊
Magically real!
Yeah when these villages/Hamlets are in movies people think they don't exist and it's just a set design..Lols
Lots of love from India india
Thank you 😊👋🇬🇧
Beautiful! Thank you. Now please do Corsham next, including Corsham Court Park.
Thank you Bruce, I'll do Corsham next, I've got one more video to upload before that
@@everywhereisimagined , Many thanks! :)
An absolutely beautiful, peaceful village! There's a pub, but I would miss shops. Just one or two to buy essentials.
Yes it is a lovely place but you would need a car or deliveries for essentials... or forage wild in the fields
Just go online and get it delivered that's what I do in the UK and nearly everyone else I know..
Thank you for another beautifully gentle morning walk. Can you beam me up to Biddestone please? 😉You asked about other villages to visit...Selworthy perhaps? Or Dunster?
I would love to see your video on odiham... Since u mentioned to recommend such town or villages from south west England.
I really love your videos .it's been only 1 week that I found your channel.bur I loved each video of urs.
