Another great vid mate. We Always give a thumbs up. Content is always interesting. Love all the background info you include, the humour and your honest down to earth presenting style . You literally bring us along for the trip. Great work. One of the best outdoor channels on the tube 👌 👍🙌
Thanks mate, I'm just glad you all really enjoy it all. Don't get me wrong there's some bad words going on at the cameras on some occasions. Thanks for watching guys, Cheers.
Used to be a great spot but just to busy these days. The reason they are fixing these places up and making easy access is so they can still provide camping but only in designated areas. They'll eventually close of most tracks and no more bush camping alone, you'll have to squeeze in with a hundred other people! Then they will wonder why everythings getting trashed.
Top footage again BT love the slo mo wood and swag unloads and the wood splitting and the fire at the end of each night Thanks Mate well done as usual Great scenery and drone footage 👍🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
I still remember the first hut i ever stayed at, shame I can’t remember the name, it was in tazzie with my grandparents in their carriage towed by draft horses, fireplace was badly built and it caught alight, pretty sure it was around lake leake but could give you updates on the story, loving the video mate
I've been enjoying the video's, I don't think I "discovered" Upper Jamieson Hut till early 80's & it was probably mid winter as we needed chains to exit. Also it's a good thing it's gated now, maybe the plan is to remove the gate but that river will stop all but the most determined in winter.
Thanks Bush TV, we're a bit like you, love the rough bush tracks into the bush and we're fearful that the more graded the tracks, that it might bring more concerns. Lets just hope N.P. doesnt start locking these tracks up. Thanks again for the great video, love it!
Gee wizz mate, that road in looks like a street in Toorak ! My memories of the road in from my first visit to this hut was pretty damn crazy. Even worst if wet and raining . As i've said a few times , my fav spot in high country . I hope it stays quiet as like you said, if we get a lot of customers, it could close the store ...... Cheers bud . 🤠👌
G'daye mate I like your channel and the content too and I'm glad I subscribed. Real down to earth which is what I like. I love the high country trips you do and it gives me some good ideas. Looks like you blokes had a few cans that night...haa haa.
Great content. I hope we can still enjoy camping there in the future. The whole plan, open the roads, get in heaps of flogs, then they have the excuse to close it. Your beanie arrived the other week, keeping my head nice and warm in this cold Victorian winter.
G'day Tom, It's something o really love as well mate. But doing what I do comes with a lot more work than most know, Still I do love it so that's a bonus. Thanks for watching mate 👍 Appreciate your comments
Cheers mate, yeah I've got a guy who makes patches, just have to get off my ass to get them done. Stay tuned on Facebook mate then I'll put them up when I have them 👍
Been driving, fishing, camping and kayaking the Jamo valley for 40 years... there are too many idiots around these days... that's why Parks are closing up tracks and designating forests as NP's... the good days are long gone ...
BTV you have caused me to be late for today's bush trip I stayed back to watch this latest video😂😅 & once again awsum job m8 keep up the great work, see you up there soon. & keep the rubber side down...griffo
Not sure if your map is incorrectly labelled, or something else, but the section of Burgoyne tk from Licola Rd to Macalister river is the ‘west’, and the other side of the road is Burgoyne East Tk (east of the gap), where you’ve been mentioning you did the East.
Onya mate. Good job! It's great having your mate with you doing a bit of chatting to the camera near the end. In the credits, you shout out to 'Murls' - is that his name? He looks like a happy fella and he'd be good for a yarn. You lads should share some stories with us when you're sitting around the fire. Looking forward to the next vid!
G'day mate, no, that's not Murls, Murls is a member. Though about doing that so see how that goes as sometimes he's a bit hard to understand, Glad you enjoyed it mate 👍 cheers for the comment 👍
Great content as usual mate, cant wait to get back up there when the gates open up again, your videos gives us something to watch in the off season, keep up the great work
Thanks mate, I've just finished the new radiator install, testing as we speak. Then I'm off in a couple of weeks for one. Glad it gives you something to watch mate 👍
I visited the Upper Jammie hut a couple of times earlier in the season and it was busy both times, probably would have struggled to find a campsite. There was a LOT of trash all over the place. My fist visit was maybe 6-7 years ago and it was a chilly April around ANZAC day. We missed getting into the hut by a few minutes but ended up with a nice spot almost on the water. As we were leaving, we encountered the 'dozer coming down the track, plowing the way for the truck carrying the long drop materials. I appreciate a long drop now and then. but it seems like as soon as that arrives in a campsite area, it becomes a tourist hotspot and the trash leaving grubs stuff it up. Is there an online partition somewhere to sign up to that will help keep these areas open for 4WD and camping ?
The worst part about the drop toilet is they all go behind it and not in it , See if this link works mate, otherwise jump on my Facebook page 👍 www.parliament.vic.gov.au/get-involved/petitions/stop-the-creation-of-any-new-national-parks/?fbclid=IwY2xjawEkF-BleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHSaJnbz_Q0nHXTZwvE-h6tnmiBoPsHmQqZq0kDh2mALbUdxU8WTsgWFrWA_aem_jWtSgcYVT-SlfJvsk0yGBA
Stayed at upper Jamieson hut just before this. Parks had just been in there cleaning and fixing it all up after it got destroyed by idiots. They’d done donuts all through the place that’s why it has been fixed up. Vandalised the toilets and heaps of graffiti. So I don’t think I’d be whinging about it. If you had of got there before it was cleaned you’d be complaining a lot more.
It's always been a donut pad that car park. I've been going in there for over 30 years and yes seen a lot of graffiti, But making it more easy access is a big mistake. Next it will be No Camping
Yep, that's the main problem right there mate. I've seen itas well. Poo tickets, baby wipes an nappies, rubbish everywhere. I've even seen then wash dishes in rivers with soap. And you tell them it the wrong thing to do to get a response like Oh is there fish in there 🤔
What there trying to is make it easy for families to enjoy the high country without having a 4x4 come up in sedan, suv and small caravan and completely bugger the areas we love. Just think of the rubbish they will leave behind, and the rivers they will pollute.

Totally agree on making places to easy to access. Wish they would put more effort into dozing new camp sites rather than "upgrades"
100% if they want to open it up, make picnic areas with bins, leave the bush huts alone
Used to be a great spot but just to busy these days. The reason they are fixing these places up and making easy access is so they can still provide camping but only in designated areas. You got flogs right but it’s also it’s the people from other countries that are getting out there but not taking the rubbish home see it all the time
