- Guess the Sound | 20 Musical Instruments Quiz | Music Trivia
This is a guess the sound video with a difference. Instead of guessing regular sounds, listen to the twenty different musical instruments.
This is a re-upload, so thank you to the viewers who spotted the two (ahem...deliberate) mistakes! :)

POV: this is your music assignment for online learning
Hi
True Bro 😅
Innit 😭😅
Init man
@@xtydylan3846 😭
Thanks for making this great resource. Once note (as a professional harpist and music teacher): The harp sounds more like a Harpsichord. A concert grand pedal harp cannot play a chromatic scale like that (due to the mechanics of the instrument). A concert grand harp also has a rounder/more mellow sound as a result of the mostly gut/nylon strings (rather than the thin, metallic sound in the clip played). I was quite confused when I saw the answer on the next slide. However, I will still be using this quiz with my students in class! Thank you!
Thanks.
i bet your a music techer and your going to tell your students to do this
Hello, I get a homework to list 10 instruments and to describe the sound they make but how do I describe the sound.
And the choice for the violin also was not good. More scratchy. I'm a violin player and I had a hard time to recognize it..
I am not even a professional musician and it kinda threw me off and confused me as well
Playing this quiz is strangely calming and a good de-stress exercise.
except the harp it sound strange in this video

Another note for any interested: the bagpipes heard are not the same kind as those seen on screen. The ones heard were an Irish bagpipe called the Uilleann (or Union) pipes, whereas Great Highland Bagpipes were pictured. Very different sound. Both still technically bagpipes.
Love this as a teaching tool. Thanks so much! Excellent!
Thanks for making this! If you make another one could you make sure that all instruments that you hear are actually in the original picture? For example...trumpet :)
I have an exam about this lol
Same
yeah me too 💀
ruclips.net/video/zeye7WEcxx0/видео.html
same :(
I only have a quiz :)
love the Cmajor scale on the clarinet
love this game, thanks... I'll play it with my students in class :)
Thank you so much Bro..we are learning music production and our sir told us to listen all the instruments sounds..so with this video we can learn them easily.. Thank You so much❤️
Thank Bob for that, got them all. Harp sounds like a dulcimer and I’m not sure what pipes you featured.
It's cool how certain instruments instantly connect us to certain parts of the world. 🌎 When I heard the bagpipes, I instantly imagined walking the cobbled streets of Edinburgh, Scotland. When I heard the gong, I pictured exploring Chinese temples.
They were actually Northumberland pipes in this quiz, the bagpipes would hurt your ears much more!
@@effiefenton2002 Uilleann Pipes actually, if I'm not mistaken. Still bagpipes, as are the Great Highland Bagpipes (the really stinkin loud ones).
A lot of these are midi which is weird since the whole point is to identify what they actually sound like
That was someone plucking the strings in a piano not a harp.
LMFAO ikr
what if it’s a harpsichord
uh oh cringe

I get so excited playing this game 🤗
I had to take a music class in college and there was a test where we had to identify the prominent instruments in songs. I definitely got half of them wrong, even after having studied by listening to the songs beforehand and being told which was which lol. I can identify which sounds are string instruments or wind instruments or metal clanking together (xylophone, cowbell, triangle, etc) but it's tricky sometimes beyond that. I also struggle with recognizing faces. Generally I can tell by hair, overall body shape, and context clues, but it's difficult if a person changes those things like if they wear a hat that obscures their hair. I imagine that struggling with sensory differentiation is a thing.
Good day, and with God grace and mercy continued healing, thank you for this RUclips, I have never seen a touch screen before, congratulations on your creatively, thoughtfully, and learning process, good job 😮, only the trumpet is not pictured. Thank you.
thank you so much you are the only youtube video that is actually helping me : )

Thank you for this wonderful video! I have used it so much over the past two years. As a professional bassist and music teacher, it Would be better to use real instrument sounds and not MIDI like the saxophone..everything else is great!

I laughed at the violin. I only knew what it what because that’s what I sound like as a beginner violinist sometimes 🤣😭
when i pass music school a test to pass will be this! THANKS!
I was wrong on several of the brass instruments but right on the strings. I guess it is because that is my favorite instrument.

I love you
i got a harp mixed up with a dulcimer XD
You're correct - it is a dulcimer (not a harp)
Missed opportunity, for Squidward, to be playing the clarinet.
POV: your instrument isn't there
My teacher showed this to the class as a quiz or smth welp I searched it up and got the results early thx.
"A saxophone" is a type of instrument, the one played seems to be an alto playing low (very likely) or a tenor playing higher in a different key (less likely) there is also other variations including baritone, bass, contrabass, and even sub-contrabass. (edit) Same would go for clarinets, trumpets, and trombones. even flutes and oboes.
This is a fudging music assignment lmao
Be me, substitute teacher in primary school, music class in 1 hour, trying to survive, salary is good, kids are cool, I like my job even in moments like this
For a person that plays trombone, hearing that sound come out of one just hurt me.
The saxophone is an effect played on a keyboard, not a pure sax sound. Same with the piano
Thank you for this Amazing Vedio..☺️
It's my pleasure. Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoy the videos. 👍
minuto 1:20 the violin, minuto 3:15 the piano, minuto 3:36 the recorder , minuto 4:42 the guitar, minuto 6:05 the drums, minuto 2:45 the bass
got 3 wrong, the mandolin, double bass and clarinet
I also only got 3 wrong, the double bass, mandolin, and harp wrong.
I'm here for my art listening test lol
Where can I find a harder lesson on instruments? Like fuzz guitars and such?
The gong threw me off cuz I didn’t see it in the picture lol 😂
I like it I need this for school
Thanks
I really like the piano sound too
pov im literally just here to find a sound for fnf vocals
This is a great creation! The kids loved it. Just a little-known fact: The correct name of #20 is the Tam-Tam. A gong plays a specific pitch.
i dont think anyone asked 🤣
I wish the Kalimba was in here, that’s the instrument I play
I'll keep it in mind if I make another one.
great video
BUT
im a saxophonist, and that saxophone sounds Nothing like a real saxophone!!!
Agreed. I am no professional, but I heard that and I thought: this is a synthesized saxophone, i.e. as would be played on a keyboard.
go cry about it
I got so scared of the double bass because of how low the pitch is
I like Mandolin So much
I just got the mandolin wrong (because I said Spanish guitar 😅)
I got 16 out of 20. Thank you :D

Hello! I would like to ask permission to possibly use part of this video in an Outschool class where I am supporting children’s audio memory. I will not do so unless I hear from you. Thank you for considering.
0:10 POV: it's home alone 4
I like the mandolin noise
Karolina protensko plays the violin
My answer to everything
Yeah...that one..
Tuba sounds like a baritone/euphonium
I’m kinda disappointed that the bassoon was left out again but this was a fun quiz.
I'm in the process of making another guess the instrument quiz, so watch out for it then...👍
🎹 piano 🎸 Rock ‘n’ roll guitar
It’s not a mistake it’s a masterpiece
Why is one of the sounds a trumpet but there is no image of a trumpet?

I love playing saxaphone
It's a pretty cool sounding instrument.
Very god way for at learn Instrument Sounds.
Joy to the music
The trombone sound isn’t real...
